Chapter 79 Tracker Device

Hearing the taunting words of the GLCS, Jiang Ming truly wondered if it was there to scam all of his wealth.

'Luckily I don't rely on the GLCS much. Otherwise, I feared that bankruptcy wouldn't be far from reaching me,' he thought.

Sometime later, he pulled the tracker device out from his inventory, dumbfounding Yuan Chunhua in the meantime.

"H-How did you pull that out?" She asked in confusion.

Since Jiang Ming wasn't wearing any spatial rings, she was utterly confused as to how he pulled an item out from empty space.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ming casually pretended that he didn't hear her question.

He proceeded to work on the tracker device, causing Yuan Chunhua to clench her fist tight.

"Hmph, be like that then." She stomped on the ground and pouted like some 8 years old despite her age.

Jiang Ming chuckled softly at her attitude.

It was like their roles have been reversed and that he was the actual instructor.

'Ahh, never expect Instructor Yuan Chunhua to be this easily teased.' He thought.

A few minutes later, Jiang Ming finished the procedure of activating the tracker device.

The tracker device floated above and began moving in a direction.

"Let's go, the tracker device will guide us to the unknown substance." Jiang Ming said as he quickly followed the tracker device.

Yuan Chunhua could only sigh and followed Jiang Ming's footsteps.

'When did Jiang Ming become this reliable and resourceful?' She wondered silently.

Sometime later, they arrived at the initial pile of corpses, and Jiang Ming felt like smacking his head.

That was because the tracker device was asking for a recharge in price to continue tracking.

"This is stupid…" He cursed aloud, dumbfounding Yuan Chunhua.

"What happened to this item? Why did it just stop moving?" She asked.
Hearing her questions, Jiang Ming flashed a wicked grin as he turned around and stared at her.

With his hand extended out, he commanded, "Hand over 1,000 spirit stones."

"Hand over what?" Yuan Chunhua raised an eyebrow. She was baffled by his sudden command of having her cough up some money.

First, he had broken her gadgets, and now he was asking her for money.

The audacity of him!

"You gotta be joking with me, right?" She slapped his cheeky hand away.

Jiang Ming held a pitiful expression as he tried to soothe the pain in his hand.

"Why are you so mean, Instructor Yuan Chunhua?" he cried aloud.

And he continued, "The tracker device is not going to move unless we recharge it."

"Recharge? Just what kind of nonsense are you uttering? When was there ever an item that required any spirit stones to be re-activated?"

"There's a lot of items, Instructor Yuan Chunhua. The cultivation world is filled with endless possibilities, so you can never be narrow-minded about things. Look at some formation spells out there in the world. Aren't those activated by the spiritual qi obtained from spirit stones?"

Yuan Chunhua suddenly remained silent. His counterargument wasn't wrong, but that still doesn't explain why she needed to be the one to recharge it.

"Hmph, I don't care. You're recharging it whether you like it or not." She shouted and glared at Jiang Ming.

"Stingy woman…" Jiang Ming muttered as he slowly recharges the tracker device.

Ding!

<Tracker device has been recharged>

A system prompt appeared and the tracker device began moving again.

"I swear to god if you ask for another recharge again, I'm going to thrash whoever created this function." Jiang Ming warned.

Time slowly passed by, and the tracker device had brought Jiang Ming and Yuan Chunhua to an open area.

They were now surrounded by large trees everywhere, yet there was no sign of movement anywhere.

"Is the tracker device broken again?" Yuan Chunhua asked. "Why is it stopping here and beeping?"

"Hmm, let me think for a second." Jiang Ming said as he took a step forward and inspected the tracker device.

It wasn't asking for a recharge, yet the beeping sounds continued on.

Thus, Jiang Ming was sure the tracker device wasn't malfunctioning but was being stopped by a certain obstacle.

And as for what kind of obstacle that could prevent the tracker device from following, there was only one possibility.

'There's a hidden path in front of us that can't be seen with the naked eye.' He thought.

Opening his map, Jiang Ming didn't see a path ahead of him, and that was normal.

In Cultivation Omega, there was always some hidden path that would give out generous rewards if players were to explore diligently.

The hidden paths aren't shown on the map, but can only be found through special methods or procedures.

"Instructor Yuan Chunhua, do you have some extra clothes in your spatial ring?" Jiang Ming turned to her and asked.

Meanwhile, Yuan Chunhua narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"Why do you want to know that?" She asked, taking a few steps back away from him.

"Didn't you trust me in the past? Just give me some of your clothes."

"..."

Although she was a bit suspicious, she reluctantly retrieved some clothes and glanced at Jiang Ming.

"You better not try anything perverted, ok?" She warned, handing the clothes toward him.

The clothes weren't some undergarments so it wasn't really that big of a deal, but the design on the clothes was enough to understand her taste.

"I didn't know you like sky blue colored clothes." Jiang Ming chuckled softly.

"The design of the clothes is good but isn't good enough. You should check out the Moon Bazaar more often and buy some of our clothes made from top-grade materials." He added.

After that, Jiang Ming hurriedly got into action to avoid getting lashed by Yuan Chunhua.

He placed her clothes down in an organized manner.

And with a snap of his finger, he brought out his Moonstow Flame and began to burn the clothes into a crisp.

"Goddamn it, are you out to destroy all my personal belongings?"

Yuan Chunhua was enraged from the side but didn't dare to intervene, lest she ruined whatever he had planned.
