"Zichen, you've sacrificed too much," Tang Wulin sighed.

Ling Zichen's smile suddenly vanished upon hearing this. Tang Wulin couldn't see her face behind her mecha's visor, but he could sense the shift in her emotions.

"You must think I'm a monster, right? Some kind of madwoman?" Ling Zichen said in a cold voice.

Tang Wulin shook his head in response. "Not at all; I've never thought of you that way. In my heart, you're a scientist who's worthy of respect. You've given so much for your pursuit, and you're the pride of the entire Tang Sect."

"But I'm also a woman, and I also desire what normal women want! Even though I only think of those desires very occasionally, I'm still a woman!"

"Get Demon Sovereign to open the array right away and release us!" the Spirit Sovereign yelled.

This world nurtured us and gave us everything; you can't allow your hatred and desire to avenge Father blind you!"

"Shut up!" Demon Sovereign slapped the young woman across the face, knocking her onto the ground. "If it weren't for that person you let go, everything would be progressing even more smoothly. All humans must die to atone for your father's death; so what if the continent goes down with them? We'll be ascending to another world anyway. Only by becoming a god will there be a chance for me to find your father again; only a god can attain the ability to create life."
