System Notification: You have completed the quest “The Annoying Wild Hares”!

System Notification: You have obtained 10 copper, 500 exp!

Chen Mo shook his head when he received the rewards after turning in the quest.

Not only were the rewards petty, killing a Wild Hare would only grant a Player 25 exp. Meanwhile, the number of Players competing for these objective monsters was insane. Doing the quests was definitely not worthy of his time. It was better to just grind his levels by slaying monsters.

Chen Mo went offline to surf the forum. There were already a lot of posts related to the spawning locations of different monsters.

“Wolf Valley, Wild Wolf, a Level 7 monster, that will do.”

Chen Mo soon decided on his target.

These Level 7 wolves had impressive damage and speed. They were pretty tricky to deal with. A Level 5 Player would die in two hits since most Players had no equipment still.

However, Chen Mo believed he could utilize the terrains and trees to take on these Wild Wolves by himself after seeing their attributes.

Chen Mo logged back into the game and went past large groups of Players. The number of Players significantly decreased after reaching the area of Level 6 monsters, the Man-Eating Flowers. These areas were no longer as crowded as the low-level areas.

The Players grinding in the Level 6 area were all in parties, and most of them were established temporarily.

The Chinese servers had a lot of gaming guilds and groups, but there were many instances of Aiur Town in the game. The chance of being assigned to the same instance with someone of the same guild was extremely slim.

The Level 6 Man-Eating Flowers did not have high damage, and they were almost stationary. They were the first preference for Classes with range attacks to grind their levels, but they were not that ideal for Chen Mo as a Hunter.

He could toss the traps at the Man-Eating Flowers, but he would also be inside the monsters’ attack range. These Man-Eating Flowers’ attacks came from under the ground. The terrains and obstacles were non-existent, and since Chen Mo was on his own, he had little chance of dodging the Man-Eating Flowers’ attacks.

Chen Mo arrived at the entrance of the Wolf Valley after traversing the spawning area of the Man-Eating Flowers.

Most Players were currently around Level 5. The Wild Wolves had high damage, thus a Level 5 Player would die in a few hits. Most Players would not dare to challenge the Wild Wolves yet, thus Chen Mo was not surprised that the place did not have a single Player around.

The Level 6 Man-Eating Flowers was a better choice compared to these Wild Wolves.

Chen Mo’s eyes glittered after taking a quick look into the Wolf Valley.

He saw a huge boulder not far from the entrance of the valley. He might be able to kill the Wild Wolves in the same way he killed the Black Goblins!

He cautiously moved to the boulder and lured two Wild Wolves to him. He climbed on top of the boulder and attacked the Wild Wolves with ease.

He was surprised that no one had discovered such a great spot for level grinding. It seemed like most Players were still bound by traditional games, thus no one had discovered the special trick to grind the monsters. Otherwise, it was unlikely he could have the spot to himself.

That being said, Chen Mo was not kind enough to share his trick with other Players on the forum. He saw many Players who were spawned in a valley with goblins just like him instead of being spawned in a Rookie Village. These Players that were trapped in the valleys were asking for help on the forum, but unfortunately, no one had given them any viable suggestion so far.

Chen Mo knew he was not the only Player that made it out of the valley. However, every Player that made it out of the valley was obviously no ordinary Player. No one was willing to share their trick with their competitors.

The Level 7 Wild Wolves did not have high HP—only around 800, but their defense was clearly a lot higher than the Black Goblins. Chen Mo speculated that the Black Goblins had negative or zero defense, while it was likely that the Wild Wolves had some defensive attributes. After putting on the Goblin Boots with +1 to Strength, Chen Mo’s damage was now 8 points higher than before, yet he ended up dealing less than 10 damage to the Wild Wolves. A Basic Trap only inflicted 40+ damage on a Wild Wolf.

Now that Chen Mo had found a way back to the Rookie Village, he no longer had to preserve his bolts. When his skills were on cooldown, he would attack with his crossbow. Even though each bolt could only inflict 20+ damage on a Wild Wolf, the total damage inflicted by the bolts was no lower than the damage dealt by the traps.

Two Wild Wolves eventually fell to the ground after just over a minute.

System Notification: You have killed the monster Wild Wolf. You have obtained 100 exp!

“Not bad, at this rate, I will reach Level 5 in twenty minutes.”

Chen Mo was quite satisfied with the amount of exp the Wild Wolves were giving him. Previously, he spent around seven minutes on the quest of killing the Wild Hares and traveling back and forth from the town. He only ended up getting 1000+ exp. He was lucky that Da Qingshan was around, or else he would spend even more time competing for the monsters with other Players.

Chen Mo jumped down from the boulder to lure the next pair of monsters after killing the first two Wild Wolves. He kited the Wild Wolves around on the ground before climbing up the boulder to prevent the Special Hatred from stacking up.

Chen Mo’s experience bar rose rapidly as more Wild Wolves died close to the boulder. It was around 70% after some time. He would reach Level 5 in just another six minutes.

However, three figures appeared at the entrance of the valley.

Splendor Moon Flowing Scar was the Guildmaster of a guild called Splendor Moon. That being said, there were only around seventy active players in the guild. It was not that impressive compared to the other guilds.

Splendor Moon Flowing Scar wanted to expand the guild, but to do so, they would have to make a name in a trending game. However, he would have to spend a fortune to make a name in the traditional games. Splendor Moon Flowing Scar was not resourceful enough to spend so much money on games, thus the guild was more or less the same after many years.

The launch of Genesis served as a strong glimpse of hope for him.

In the past, even if a guild became famous in a game, not many people would still remember the guild after quitting the game. It was also the main reason why Splendor Moon Flowing Scar was unwilling to spend too much money on a specific game.

But Genesis was different. From what Splendor Moon Flowing Scar knew, almost every guild in China was playing Genesis. Lots of players from different games were interested in Genesis too.

He could really make a name for the guild if it managed to become famous in the game!

With enough reputation, money would no longer be a problem, thus the guild Splendor Moon would have no problem expanding too.

After entering the game with excitement, Splendor Moon Flowing Scar surprisingly discovered that two other members of his guild were in the same instance of Aiur Town as him.

He was a Warrior, and the other two were a Magician and an Archer. The three of them could easily take on monsters at a higher level than them.

The trio had a chance of claiming the top spot on the Level Ranking. If they could reach Level 10 first, they might be rewarded by the System, and the announcement would clearly boost their guild’s reputation.

The trio could easily grind their levels by killing the Man-Eating Flowers, but Splendor Moon Flowing Scar was determined to earn the top spot of the Level Ranking. He believed lots of players would show up in the spawning area of the Man-Eating Flowers in another twenty minutes, thus they would have to find another place to grind their levels. The Wolf Valley that was a level higher naturally became their first preference.

To their surprise, they stumbled into a Hunter who was killing two Wild Wolves with ease on top of a boulder as soon as they arrived at the Wolf Valley.

The two Wild Wolves died in succession, yet the Hunter on the boulder did not lose a single HP!

It was simple and quick!

They never thought it was possible to kill monsters like that!

“Boss, let’s claim the boulder for ourselves. These Wild Wolves are Level 7, we can grind here until Level 9!” The Magician blurted out.

“But PK isn’t allowed below Level 10, how are we going to force the Hunter to leave?” the Archer said.

“That’s easy, we just need to steal his monsters. He’ll leave eventually!” Splendor Moon Flowing Scar said with a smile.

Even the Heavens were helping him. There was no stopping Splendor Moon from rising this time. They would easily outlevel the rest of the Players by grinding their levels here!

Stealing monsters from other Players was no problem for an experienced Player like Splendor Moon Flowing Scar. There was still enough space for a person on the boulder. The Magician climbed onto it while Splendor Moon Flowing Scar and the Archer lured the Wild Wolves on the ground. That way, Chen Mo had no chance of landing the first hit on the Wild Wolves. Once he came down from the boulder, the Archer would take his spot instead.

“Take it,” Chen Mo did not waste his time further with the trio. He jumped down from the boulder and looked for another spot nearby to grind his levels.

“HAHA, you do know your place!” Splendor Moon Flowing Scar burst out laughing. He did not expect the Hunter to give up the spot so easily. He was figuring some other way to drive Chen Mo away if he was reluctant to leave.

Chen Mo rolled his eyes and ignored the man.
