Divine Emperor of Death

3132 Subduing Apocalyptic Flames

*Szzzzz!~*

Reality twisted and shimmered, unfurling a scene of surreal beauty amidst the commanding presence of an Anarchic Divergent who unleashed otherworldly reincarnation energy that seemed to dash out from the realm as though not of this world.

It was intrinsically different than the one this man used.

Indeed, Davis had resorted to using Fallen Heaven now of all times.

He, who had been so cautious and hesitant to use it in the true immortal world, now forsook all his hesitation for no other reason than the fact that there was no living entity here that could shake fate in an influential way.

The only thing he needed to be worried about was using Fallen Heaven in the true immortal world as there was a chance it could be found out since it was always hiding from the heavens whenever the heavenly tribulation descended, so he imagined that the heaven's senses would be omnipresent in the true immortal world and didn't deign to use it until he was in true danger.

The fact that the heaven and earth energy was reluctant to become a part of him also made him think the heaven's Will is omnipotent.

However, he had to rethink that thought process since Myria made it known to him that not all Anarchic Divergents were going to face this problem, as only those who faced six or more Paragon Magical Beasts would experience this retaliation.

It was like falling out of basic favor from the heavens, but he imagined that the heavens in no way could be possibly watching him all the time.

If it did consciously watch him, then Davis was sure it would have already found Fallen Heaven.

Since it didn't, he imagined that he still wasn't on its conscious radar, although he was still in the range of its passive sense.

This speculation made him a bit emboldened to use a bit of Fallen Heaven's energy back in these few days when he activated its karmic-seizing ability to plunder karma from these geniuses from the true immortal world, and the consequences of it were close to nothing.

He had plundered every bit of karmic virtue from the Crimson Pathflame Lower Realm's geniuses.

He had plundered a minute amount from the geniuses of the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm and other Lower Realms.

Yet, all these actions had no consequences, resulting in him believing using Fallen Heaven in true immortal world should be safe as long as he doesn't create a huge wave in the flow of fate.

As for these five wisps of destructive apocalyptic flames, he believed that they should pose little to no influence on fate compared to the sea of apocalyptic flames brewing in the distance.

Davis grinned as he sensed little to no danger in his anarchic sense.

'This is fine…!'

He became more emboldened as he saw that there was no reaction from the heavens, although the apocalyptic flames were reacting like they were possessed by a malevolent sentience, swaying and whistling with a strange, creepy, sizzling sound.

They writhed and twisted, forming serpentine shapes that lunged and recoiled, creating an apocalyptic spectacle of destruction. The air itself seemed to wail in protest as the flames lashed out, their heat searing even the durable ground beneath.

It was like each wisp had its own malevolent Will to erase anything and everything in existence.

But eventually, Davis saw that he was close to taming it.

At first, they resisted, lashing out with even greater fury. But gradually, as his gestures grew more fluid and purposeful in controlling the reincarnation energy, the flames began to respond with another reaction. The purplish-black hues dimmed to a softer, more controlled intensity, and the swirling chaos started to take on a semblance of order.

However, Davis didn't relax.

Controlling Fallen Heaven's energy was never easy. It was like he held a mountain in his grasp. His brows were furrowed in concentration, sweat mingling with the radiant otherworldly energy that enveloped him. His lips moved, uttering the scriptures from the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture to have more effect as he influenced, or rather, forced the heaven and earth energy around to obey him.

"…!?"

He was astonished to find that he could even absorb the heaven and earth energy in this state, almost feeling like he was plundering rather than being in harmony with it.

Nonetheless, a transformative moment occurred soon enough.

The berserk flames, once a raging tempest, now transformed into elegantly undulating wisps of purplish-black fire. Their movements became synchronized, a mesmerizing choreography that mirrored Davis's gestures as they moved in accordance with his tune as though they were obedient children.

It was as if he had tamed a force of pure chaos and bent it to his Will.

As he stepped, the apocalyptic flames remained calm under the otherworldly aura of the reincarnation energy, not even swaying a bit.

If anyone had seen this scene, their jaws would drop, but no one had their gazes on him, not even Nadia and Eldia, as they were above.

Sophie and Bylai sensed the shockwaves had died down, making them shiver as they didn't know what happened.

But even after a few seconds passed without any response, Sophie clenched her fists. She was the first one who turned around, trying to see if he was safe while wondering if he had successfully tamed it. Instantly, she widened her eyes to her shock, looking at Davis standing before her with his lips curled into a smug smile.

He had his hand raised to the side as though he was holding a plate, but instead of the plate, five tiny purplish-black wisps of apocalyptic flame floated above his five fingers, appearing to elegantly yet minutely dance. However, she knew they held an intense amount of energy within them, waiting to explode into a mountain of flames since they were refined to the size of a finger.

Sophie's gaze shook, somehow wanting these flames yet not daring to tame them as she intrinsically knew she couldn't as it was completely opposite from the flames of forging.

This was one of pure destruction.

"How… how powerful is it…?"

At this point, Bylai had also turned around and was in pure shock as her mouth remained agape. She didn't want to go anywhere near it, even in its tamed state, yet he was still holding them like they were conjured from his energy.

Her eyes shone with pride and admiration.

Davis used his other hand to rub his cheek, looking a bit awkward as he didn't know how to explain this incredulous situation. After all. he knew even they could tell this was not his prowess as he had reached the peak of the Immortal Emperor Stage, which was not a feat that would be capable of any lifeform in the Immortal King Stage.

After all, to reach the peak of the next stage while remaining at the previous stage, requires one's prowess to be over fifteen levels higher! It was completely ridiculous, so even his face almost reddened from the looks of obsession they were giving him.

"Well… I don't know how powerful this is, but let's just say that if I were to throw even one of these at Elder Aradiel Furiose, who thoroughly hid his true cultivation from us until recently, even he might not be able to escape unscathed…"
