Divine Emperor of Death

3080 Secluding For The Night

*Bang!~*

Davis blew a hole in the mountain and carved out a cave with Yama.

The rocks fell as he entered, disappearing like the wind as they touched the ground. Once he was inside, he saw that the carvings he made were like a clean slice like a igloo that was rocky, yet there was death energy stuck on the walls. With a wave of his hand, he dispersed the death energy surrounding him, allowing life to flourish with another wave of his hands.

Instantly, the seeds that seemed to be outside flew in as they were carried by his soul force, giving birth to numerous sprouts and grasses, making it his own small prairie.

This kind of maneuver could also be done using Wood Laws, but his manipulation of death and life would leave anyone awestruck.

He made himself comfortable on a grass bed as he sat down with his legs crossed, beginning to circulate his energy. Fire, lightning, and wind flowed once, starting from his dantian as they traversed through his meridians throughout the body before returning and congealing.

His chaotic energy also flowed around his middle dantian, following the same path as the other energies with harmony. On the other hand, his reincarnation soul force spun inside his soul sea, covering the horizons as though echoing before returning towards the soul essence, reverberating and resonating.

With all of his cultivations circulating, Davis felt comfortable as he relaxed and cultivated. He was about to refine the many soul essences he collected when battling with Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow, allowing him to increase his soul cultivation by leaps and bounds.

After all, what he obtained were Mid Stage Immortal Emperor Soul Essences and above at the Late Stage. He imagined that he could simply enter the Immortal Emperor Stage with this many, although he had other plans as he wanted to try strengthening his soul essence through the primitive method of refining and absorbing soul essence even after he reached the limit.

Before, he didn't have this thought as he presumed it would take hundreds or even thousands of soul essences at the Late Stage of Immortal Emperor, but right now, he was in a blessed land of Feral Beasts where he could kill and plunder as he pleased.

It was the perfect world for his growth, both mentally and physically.

However, his brows frowned as he was unable to concentrate.

There was something else that Davis didn't brood upon back at the campsite.

It was the fact that none of these so-called elders of the Upper Realm descended to arrest or execute him or concern themselves with the forces of the First Haven World.

He had two thoughts in his mind: that this scenario was intentional on the Upper Realms' part as they finally found a way to the First Haven World, or this was an entire coincidence due to his anarchic nature and the World Master of the First Haven World dealt with it promptly by completely sealing this Minor Realm with their own strength, leaving the cultivators from the Upper Realms to be unable to descend.

Otherwise, Davis didn't know what to think.

After all, he was an Anarchic Divergent, for heaven's sake!

He thought it was most likely the latter that occurred.

If not, how did they allow an extreme calamity like him to be together with these bountiful and promising youths who had a bright future, especially when they were in a sinking realm?

It didn't make sense.

'It could only be these two, or I'm already in the afterlife, dreaming about obtaining treasures…'

Davis inwardly sighed as he chuckled, opening his eyes, 'But… I couldn't be dreaming about you as well, no?"

"What's up?"

Looking at the empty space before him, he asked.

A black-robed figure manifested before him.

That black robe gracefully draped around her slender figure, accentuating her curves. The fabric flowed like midnight silk, caressing her body and fluttering like the wind.

Her face, illuminated by a soft glow, revealed flawless porcelain skin. Her almond-shaped white eyes, like jade-white pearls, held a glimmer of disinterest. Her long, black-purple hair cascaded in gentle waves down her back, with a single purple feather nestled amidst the glossy strands that made her appear as attractive as the moon.

Amidst the moonlight, she appeared like a ghost yet looked quite elegant and reserved as she held her hands together.

"It's… nothing…"

"You come here and say that it's nothing, Nyoran?" Davis smiled.

"…" Nyoran blinked, "I was surprised to see you, okay?"

"I'm surprised to see you too. I'm glad I listened to my Lea and went to save the Ice Phoenix Clan's ladies."

Davis chuckled before he gestured, "However, I wasn't able to punish those Ghostly Crows for trying to be creepy towards you. I hope you would forgive me for that."

"No. You did punish them well with how you dealt with them back there, and because of that, we were able to obtain so many resources."

Nyoran entered the cave, "Besides, I owe you for many matters. Because of our relationship, I was able to become the Empress of the Dark Moon Crow Empire and the Twilight Shade Valley back in the Grand Beginnings Continent, and because I was the Empress, the immortal who came to our continent at that time also took me away, allowing me to grow strong in the First Haven World after numerous trials and tribulations."

"…"

"I wanted to express my grateful emotions…" Nyoran bit her lips behind her veil, "We have not met more than thrice, but I must say that you're special to me."

"Oh? In what way?"

Davis lifted his brows as he asked with an amused smile, causing Nyoran to pout.

"Not in the way you're thinking."

"And what did I think?"

"You… you bold man. I won't talk to you if you insinuate anything between us."

"Ahaha~ You have also become befitting of an Empress that I almost didn't recognize you from your attitude, excluding this new appearance of yours."

"Well, I did mutate into a Variant Ghostly Crow from a Dark Moon Crow."

Nyoran blushed slightly, becoming aware of the changes in her appearance. Even she was aware and conscious of it as so many things changed about her.

"If you don't mind, can I know what kind of a variant beast you are?"

Davis asked, causing Nyoran to frown, "This… it concerns the secret of the Ghostly Crow Clan, so I'm unable to answer."

"Alright, keep your secrets." Davis chuckled before continuing, "But I saw it allowed you to withstand King-Tier undulations from Eiren better than I thought. You actually could've fought back the suppression if you had wanted, couldn't you?"

"…"
