Devil's Music

67th: Visual Scandal Part 2.

The case opened the door of a 19th-century famous museum, and there were numerous paintings of many colours on display.

The gun walked slowly, looking at each picture, and stayed a little longer in front of the picture I liked. Abigail came to the side whenever there was a picture that seemed to be of interest to her case and explained the picture.

“This piece is called Boating. It's by Edouard Manet. He said he painted two people big enough to be full of work to really express the changes in the curvature of the body according to the light. The ocean behind it is unusual, isn't it? Mane was inspired by Japanese print when he described this work. ”

Abigail starts explaining the painting, and she looks as if she was a child. Gun took a look at the paintings while listening to Abigail's explanation. I stopped in front of Van Gogh's self-portrait when I was walking around listening to the description.

“It's a self-portrait? Uh, but the portrait I know is an earband, and this is a hat, right? ”

Abigail nods, standing in front of the painting, pointing her hand at the painting.

“Yes, the painting you mentioned is the most famous. Poor Gogh said he didn't have the money to buy a model to paint people. So I bought a nice mirror, and I looked at myself, and I left about 20 self-portraits. It's called Self Portrait with a Straw Hat. ”

The gun nods and looks at the picture right next to you.

“What about this? This is the most iconic landscape painting I've ever seen. ”

Abigail takes a step aside and explains.

“Yes, this is from 1889. It's called Wheat Field with Cypresses, and it's one of the paintings I did for a year in St. Lemi's mental hospital. ”

I was surprised and asked.

Psychiatric hospital? Oh, I think I've heard of it. I can't believe you painted like this in a mental hospital. You're a great guy. A strange shape of clouds and a golden field of wheat matches the autumn sky well. The cypress tree on the right there is like the obelisk of Egypt. Haha ”

Abigail was excited and explained when the case showed interest in art. However, Gun was hiding a complex heart as he asked Abigail a question.

‘The color of the painting is overwhelming. It's a completely different color than the one right next to it. The placement of these pictures won't connect your emotions, so you'll lose your focus. ’

Pretending to listen to the case for a long time, you ask Abigail for a break.

“How many points of art are there in this 19th-century museums? ”

Abigail said as if she was proud.

“Yes, it's called the '19th-century European Gallery’ and has over 3000 paintings by Monet, Cezanne, Gogh, Gauguin, Mane, and many others. ”

The gun flinches, whistling, and then looks at the opposite wall, tilting its head and hurrying toward the other side. Abigail is slightly flustered by the sequence of the spectacle and jumps to the other side in pursuit of the case.

The picture next to the gun was a picture described below as’ Grarden at SainteAdresse/Claude Monet ', and he looked back at Abigail as he crossed his arms and took it seriously.

“Mr. Abigail, what is this painting? ”

Abigail again sits beside the painting and explains with her hands up.

“Yes, this is Monet's painting. Think of it as a representative picture of an impressionist who ignored perspective. ”

The gun folds its arms and shakes its head.

“No, why is there a fake painting in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York? ”

Abigail opens her eyes and asks.

“Yes? What do you mean? Fake?”

The gun looked at the painting again and got lost in thought.

‘It doesn't just glow in this picture. A painter the size of Monet would never paint a picture without emotion, it must be a fake. ’

Abigail places one hand on her waist and says, as if she has a disgraceful ego.

“Gunny, this is the pride of New York. The Metropolitan Museum. Every painting is authentic. ”

“It's a forgery. ”

Abigail and Gun turn their backs on the sudden, heavy man's voice. Daniel Weiss stands behind them one day. Abigail was surprised when the CEO suddenly appeared.

“Oh, my God, boss! What are you doing here? ”

Daniel Weiss looks at Abigail and says,

“I sent it to the restoration room because there was damage to the upper left corner of the drawing. And in the meantime, it's a fake exhibition. Didn't you know? I'm sure all senior curators know that. ”

Abigail was embarrassed and took the notebook out of her arms and spread out the A4 paper between the notebooks. Today, Abigail was surprised to see the restoration room movement of ‘Graeden at SainteAdresse/Claude Monet’.

Daniel Weiss stands beside the gun and stretches out his hand.

“So you're the student that Professor Sharon Izvin sent? Nice to meet you, Daniel Weiss. ”

Gun grabbed Daniel Weiss's hand and politely said.

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Weiss. This is Julius' Kim Gun. ”

Daniel Weiss smiled.

“You have a good eye for paintings. It's a forgery that's hard for curators to notice. ”

According to Daniel Weiss, Abigail's face turns red. Gun snaps at Abigail and says,

“I was just lucky. I've seen it before. ”

Chancellor Weiss smiles, looking at Abigail, noticing that Gun is speaking for the purpose of covering Abigail.

“I see. In fact, I wouldn't have known if I hadn't heard it sooner. Don't mind Mr. Abigail either. ”

Abigail lowers her head, unable to speak. Daniel Weiss looked at Abigail like that and asked her again.

“Well, how about you take a look around? Did you notice where to fix it? Oh, you don't know the music yet, do you? I will contact the broadcast room and play the music according to the usual music list. ”

The gun quickly shakes its head.

“No, Mr. Weiss. Actually...”

As the case fades, Daniel Weiss hesitates, who was waiting for the case to continue.

“What's going on? It's okay, tell me. I just got off the phone with Professor Leontin Price. I'm going to try to figure out what Mr. Kim is saying. ”

I hesitated for a moment.

“I-I don't think the problem with the 19th-century European Gallery is music. ”

Daniel Weiss tilts his head.

“Yes? It's not music? So you found another problem? ”

He said in a hesitant voice.

“Yes.. it · ·”

Daniel Weiss urges me with his curious eyes.

“That's all right, tell me, Mr. Kim. ”

Gun looked around at the paintings and said,

“It's hard to say if you think you're arrogant, but the problem with this corner is not music, it's placement. ”

Daniel Weiss looks at the paintings and asks.

“Yes? Placement? You mean the layout of the drawings? ”

The gun nods.

“Yes, deployment. You have to change the layout to get the answers. ”

Daniel Weiss stares at the case and says after a moment of deliberation.

“The 19th-century Yuan Gallery is just a collection of paintings by prestigious artists painted in the 19th century, but it has its own significance in classification and placement. For example, the flower paintings, the paintings representing light, in the 19th century had a very important significance in the arts. which had a profound impact on the development of the painting. ”

“Several curators have looked at the academic material and decided on this arrangement, Mr. Kim. The misplacement is an insult to the pride of the curators here at the Metropolitan Museum. ”

The gun shook and hit his hand.

“Oh, I didn't mean to, Mr. Weiss. I just have these feelings that the painting expresses, and I don't think anyone can concentrate on them because they're mixed up. ”

Daniel Weiss twists his eyebrows and asks.

“Emotions? Emotions that paintings express? ”

The gun calmly explained one picture.

“This painting seems to be here just because it's a 'ballerina’. The paintings around them are all ballerina-themed. ”

Daniel Weiss nods.

“Yes, it is Edgar De Gas's ‘ballerina on stage’ and Edgar Degas painted a lot of ballerinas. So why is that a problem? ”

The case spoke with a cautious tone.

“I hope you don't take this insolently. I'll speak to you. How do you feel when you look at this ballerina onstage? What does ballerina look like dancing on stage? Perhaps he wanted to express the joy of the new ballerina, who was on Edd's first stage when he painted this painting. ”

As Daniel Weiss quietly listens to the suggestion, he looks at the painting and nods. When Daniel Weiss agreed, he went to the picture next to him and said,

“By the way, look at this picture. It says," The Ballerinas in pink between stage sets. "The emotion that this piece is talking about is tension. You wanted to express the nervousness of the ballerinas standing before the stage. ”

Again, Daniel Weiss looks at the painting for a long time and nods. Gun watched over Daniel Weiss and said three steps back, looking at the entire picture on one wall.

“From the left, tell me what the writer wants to say. The first picture is' joy ’and then' tension ’. And then" sadness, "and right in front of it is" jealousy. "Placements that do not take these emotion lines into account are distracting. ”

Daniel Weiss steps back from the wall, stands next to the case, and looks through the entire wall. Abigail was surprised to see him talking like liquefied oil.

You know more about art than I do, right? So I've been pretending to know him all this time? Oh, I'm ashamed! I was embarrassed when I tried to make up for my childishness. ’

While Abigail was thinking to herself, Daniel Weiss, who was looking at the paintings with a serious face, looked back at the case for a long time.

“Deployment, would you like to change it yourself? ”

I was surprised and said.

“Yes? Mr. Weiss. There are many experts out there, how dare I...”

Daniel Weiss approaches the case a little further and says,

“I'm Daniel Weiss. who leads the Polytan Museum here in Metro New York. There's only one reason I'm here. because I have eyes that look at people. ”

Daniel Weiss reaches out to the gun and says,

“I've been told in my head that you must take care of this. Please, Mr. Kim."

Gun looks puzzled, and soon grabs Daniel Weiss' hand.
