Devil's Music

Tue 19: The Second Encountered Lion? Part 1

September 10, 1970. Seattle International District, Washington, USA.

Seattle, a large city with an orderly atmosphere and temperate temperatures, is the city that has been at the center of ROCK's rise since the mid-1960s, although relatively low rises in the shape of square blocks.

Knowing that Gun was in a dream was when the sun began to set and the evening set took place on the horizon of the sea that looked far away. In fact, I came here at lunchtime, but I couldn't tell if it was a dream or a reality, so I realized it was only a dream at sunset while I was looking around the city of Seattle.

“It's a dream. It's been a long time since I've had a real dream. Do you think I'll ever see Elvis again? ”

Gun walked through the white sands of the sea connected to the city and watched the sunset sea. Seattle was calm and peaceful around the United States in the early 70s, but no factories had entered it. I walked along the white sand road for 10 minutes and heard a guitar sound like Asrah.

The gun moves to the sound of a guitar.

The first time Gun saw him was that distant block of news.

A black man with a round perm like Bob Dylan, a pink feather scarf and a white loose-fit blouse for women to wear, wearing brown trumpets, was sitting on a sideblock and bouncing off an acoustic guitar. The black man who closes his eyes and bounces his guitar laughs at Platt with a musical expression. Gun sits dazed on the sidewalk block without even knowing it, staring at his guitar and hand.

The song that was played slowly changed to a quick tune, and the song that I thought was fast became fast enough to be called a quickie. When the climax of the song ends, moving on the flat as if the black hand had become many.

“Huff!! Oops!!"

The rope breaks. The fast track and the one that didn't beat the strong stroke are broken. The black man reaffirmed his appetite, grabbed the broken guitar strap, and looked at the sitting next to him.

“Hmm? Oriental friend. How long have you been here? ”

The case said in a hurry whether he thought he had done something wrong.

“Oh, I'm sorry. I was trying to get a move on, but he was so focused, he was playing, he was next to me, and I just fell in love with him. It was really good. ”

The black man opens his teeth and smiles as he praises his performance.

“Thank you. I don't know how long it's been since I've been complimented by someone so close to me for playing. It's been a long time since I played for free. All right, Asian friend. I bought you some free food anyway, so you can play for free. What do you think?”

The black man stands up with his guitar in his hand and pushes his hand at the gun. Gun gets up and laughs, holding his hand.

“That's great. I just got out. Haha.”

They left the white sand and headed for a pub on one side of the white sand.

On the slightly worn sign, there was a picture with a black silhouette that looked like a firefighter holding a beer glass, and the name “Mack and Jill” was embossed on it. The black man glances at the case while touching the pink feather scarf for a moment.

“Welcome, Asian friend. Fish and chips are the best house in Seattle. ”

I smiled and told the black man.

“Call me Gun rather than Asian friend. ”

The black man wriggles his eyebrows and says:

“Guns? Guns? What a terrible name. Haha, good. Since you don't know me anyway, let me introduce you. My name is James Marshall Hendricks. My friends call me Jimmy Hendricks. Call me Jimmy, Gun. ”

I was shocked and cried out.

“Yes??? Jimmy Hendricks, the legendary guitarist Jimmy Hendricks? ”

Jimmy shakes his hand and smiles.

“What a legend. Names are a little well-known. I'm glad you've heard my name, too. Haha. Let's go inside. I'm about to get my stomach stuck to my back skin. ”

Jimmy tapped his frightening shoulder and went into the pub. Gun quickly regained consciousness and followed Jimmy into the pub. The inside of the pub was like a German market. There was a kitchen in the center of the pub and guests sat at a long table surrounding the kitchen.

Jimmy sits at the table in front of the kitchen as if he were familiar and waves his hands at the gun.

As the gun sits next to you, Jimmy laughs and shouts.

“Hey, Scott. I'm here.”

A fat middle-aged white man roasts a sausage in the kitchen when Jimmy calls.

“Oh, Jimmy. What brings you to your senses? He was always drunk.

Who's your Asian friend next to you? ”

Jimmy folds his elbows over the table and twists his chin.

“Let's get drunk. Haha. This guy is a gun. I met her in front of the white sand. Scott, give me that red hook you always drink. ”

Scott shakes his head.

“Of course. I'm gonna slaughter a drunk without getting drunk. Wait, I'll get it to you soon. ”

The gun called out in a hurry.

“I'm sorry. I'm not supposed to drink yet."

Jimmy smiles as he sees it.

“Well, someone doesn't tell me how old to drink. Decide for yourself. A man should know how to drink. Scott, you don't think you're not going to give my guest away as a child?

Scott said, throwing the towel around his neck on Jimmy's face.

“Give it to me or I'll buy it for you outside!" Wait. ”

Jimmy shouts as Scott tries to get into the kitchen.

“Scott! Fried Fish and Chips like crazy. Don't embarrass me now that I've told you so much! ”

Scott walks into the kitchen, looking at the case and shakes his hand as if he knew.

Jimmy smiles at Scott and asks him about it.

I said, "Well, the way you listen to me, you sound like you're doing music. What instrument do you play? ”

The gun straightens up and shakes its head.

“I don't have an instrument to play yet. I wanted to learn, but I didn't have a chance. ”

Jimmy said with a glare.

“Really? A man's guitar! How about I lend you my Lucille, learn some basics? ”

The case took Jimmy's guitar for granted.

“Lucille? Is that the guitar's name? ”

Jimmy gives up his guitar and laughs.

“Yes, Lucille. It's my mother's name. After my mother died, I named it after the guitar I bought for the first time. ”
