Defying Natural Order With DeoxyriboNucleic Acid

Chapter 1 - Abandoning The Real World

"Why isn't life so exciting like before" I muttered to myself while reaching out my hand to grasp at the once crystal-blue sky. I'd be called a weirdo for talking to myself but does it really matter? I've given up on this world… Who am I and why the fuċk am I so pessimistic? That's a good question. Well, my name is Coreen aged 15. Orphaned due to missing parents and supposedly a person who brings 'bad luck'.

This so-called 'bad luck' I bring is better for me... Who wants to listen to those nagging bastards always nitpicking on every goddamn fuċkɨnġ small detail they could find? Why should I still listen to them when they avoid me like the fuċkin' plague… It doesn't concern me whether or not I obey them. I won't comply with the orders of dogs.

When the moon slowly awakened and the sky became pitch-black, I made it back to the place I call, though not thought of as, 'home' through heaps of garbage. You could've dumped it anywhere else but you had to fuċkɨnġ dump it here. Giving up on the misery-filled world known as life? Was it my best decision so far? I don't know and I don't want to know… My life is like a sinking ship, but it doesn't really matter to me… I work every day, and the night is like a liberation.

I play to escape that life, even though to play, I need to work… But even if this small amount of money I earn is just enough to allow me to play, I continue playing, because that's now the only meaning of my life…

After eating a meager meal and having a mere sip of water, I go to my room and again dive into the world I feel the best in… Virtual reality. As my only sanctuary against the plague-driven world, it was the kind of place any gamers can call it theirs. No laws. No parents to nag you. Nothing standing in your way and anything you could dream of. Blissful.

For some reason, I felt excited to be in here, I was free and unrestricted but in the real world, I felt shackled to the ground. What's the use of being a bird if you can't fly? Wait… I'm a human, right, so I can't fly anyway…

There was a new game that was due to come out named . And it just happens that the official release date was today! Paradise… A game of all possibilities. In this world that banned magic a thousand years ago, magic is back! But in a different form. The Paradise, and particularly, the device used to play it, simply named , is reading your DNA to obtain your magic inheritance, and simulate it in-game! And as for me? The perfectly ordinary poor man, can't even imagine what's going to be discovered with my genes! Maybe I'll discover that my genes are super op and then I'll be fuċkɨnġ rich and famous!

Without hesitating, the last time I was here two years ago, I created an account to try to obtain an alpha key, but what do you think happened? Did I succeed? Nah too goddamn unlucky for that and then, last year, I tried to obtain a beta key so… You want me to tell you? How about you use your brain this time. I'm not your fuċkɨnġ parent to say everything to you…

Well then I was forced to try finding videos of the game and I succeeded! Even though the company that created the game forbade all capture of the game content, as well as any leakage of content, it didn't stop people in forums to talk about the game. I who has no life was searching that, every-forsaken-day… Videos and forum threads that weren't yet deleted. All of these only deepened my will to play to this game…I mean like this is the first of its kind, who else wouldn't get excited? You? Well, I think you're an old young guy. Not even 20 and already old and rotten inside... Don't criticise me, old fogey! Even when I'll be 50 I'll still be younger than everyone!

Launching the game took… 3 HOURS? GOD, YOU WANT ME TO DIE! After suffering from mental torture and well… depression, I was enshrouded in darkness and then a blue screen about some game message or some shit appeared before the game crashed on me. Because of this, I furiously entered the forums and like the keyboard warrior I am, I furiously typed at 3k APM. I WAITED FOR FUCKING 3 HOURS AND WHEN IT FINALLY LOADS IT CRASHES ON ME? WHAT THE FUCK!? I quickly found the thread I was searching:

We apologize to you as the servers have to be closed, due to the disc- Yeah we got nothing… We don't even know how you could find this cheat code. It was for developers. So-called 'cheat-free game' we made. This glitch allowed an abnormal leveling rate if the player was doing a certain row of a few thousand actions. How could you even possibly find that out? You'd be dead from exhaustion by the time you try all the possibilities.

We are doing our best to fix the issue the quicker we can also we pronounce a death sentence of the player who leaked this. We'll find you!!!

The servers will be back up tomorrow evening.

FFS! What kind of shitty luck do I even have? Bad Job. Bad Life. Bad Timing! What's next on the God of Luck's to-do list… Besides why at the same time I joined in… the game is shut down. On top of that… Everyone else is at a fuċkɨnġ higher level than me! Don't take this lightly. The difference between level one and level two is the same difference as an apartment to the goddamn Empire State Building!

--Next Day--

Yesterday was bloody awful. Imagine this, everyone who's playing this game is at max level while you, a pitiful pipsqueak, are at level one… On this game depending on pvp, my future is bleak. Where's my time to shine? Where's my time to become famous? Why was I granted the worst starter pack of all? This morning, fortunately, using my natural intellect and wisdom, I was able to come to a solution. Yeah, I said it! What are you going to do about my 300 IQ? Nothing!

When taking the silent and stealthy route of beating higher leveled players, the best and most obvious choice was...

-A ninja! I'll be a ninja!

While enforcing my decision,my boss slipped behind me and made me yelp when I heard him:

The obviously true ninja in here was my boss...
