Forty-Six: A Crumbling Dream

When Chi Yuan realized that she had fallen asleep, she was already standing on the coastline in her dream.

It was the same as when she went to school to study and go out. The coastline was full of frozen and dirty ice, and there was a salty and biting sea breeze.

She thought about it for a while, and after confirming that she fell asleep at the venue with Cabot in Liaoning, she felt relieved.

Speaking of which, she also felt a headache, as if since the exam was over, would she sink into a dream that she couldn’t wake up from? Could this state really be able to cope well with the study of transforming a ship from a human?

Or in the future, will she be able to return from the battlefield safely?

All these thoughts left her with a sigh in the end. Chi Yuan walked around the coastline for ten minutes, and she was suddenly confused by her subconscious behavior.

Why don’t I go back to the land?

Chi Yuan, who was thinking like this, turned her head, only to find that the world was blank except for the ocean and the coastline.

She couldn’t even remember what the inland was like.

Some memories seemed to be erased. They gradually turned into crystal spangles from Chi Yuan’s mind, and then dissipated into the air with the wind invisible to the naked eye.

Chi Yuan raised her head. She witnessed the memory turning blank, and her brain still couldn’t correctly understand what happened in front of her eyes.

The only thing we can know is that the coastline has also begun to shatter.

We must go to the sea. she thought so.

Although feeling uneasy and wanting to deploy the ship’s outfit, Chi Yuan still didn’t do anything.

When the land under her feet was completely shattered, Chi Yuan narrowed her eyes slightly.

There is still an endless ocean around her, but for her now… this is her land.

The land disappeared, the town disappeared, everything disappeared.

Chiyuan looked around in a daze. The boundless sea made her sense of loneliness multiply. She suddenly understood why the ship’s wife turned into a woman.

In addition to being beautiful and powerful, they also have the ability to empathize that most men cannot achieve.

They will feel empathy because of the surrounding environment, and will therefore make benevolent, or “correct” judgments.

Alone on the sea, all I can experience is the loneliness without borders.

If there is a deep sea here, then this sea area is too painful.

Not to mention humans, the ocean that even animals don’t visit, is it still called the ocean?

The deep sea entrenched here has designated this place as its own territory, but they only care about dominating from above, but ignore the sea creatures who are fleeing.

The mother-in-law will fight against injustice for this weeping sea area and lonely sea area.

This is also Chi Yuan’s inner thoughts now.

Ripples gradually spread out from the soles of her feet, and the red kite stepped on the ripples and kept advancing. There were no living creatures to be seen in this icy sea.

There is no breath of thousands of creatures under the water, and everything is as quiet as if it was killed by someone.

Is there a deep sea here? She was a little confused.

At this moment, a woman with long black hair appeared behind Chi Yuan. She looked down at Chi Yuan who hadn’t noticed her, and stared closely at the back of Chi Yuan’s neck.

The breeze picked up, and the woman’s long hair began to flutter.

She kept silent and stretched out her hand to Chi Yuan——

However, what she faced was Chi Yuan’s clean eyes.

“Who are you?” Chi Yuan asked.

The woman didn’t answer her, and she didn’t retract her hand, she still reached out to the top of the other’s head.

It wasn’t until she touched Chi Yuan’s forehead that the woman asked: “They abandoned you, made you a ship’s wife, and threw you at sea. You will never be able to return to the inland.”

“I know.” Chi Yuan nodded.

The woman frowned, she was a little displeased with Chi Yuan’s understated attitude: “You have even forgotten what the inland is like, you are bound to the sea forever like an earthbound spirit.”

“Well, is this how the deep sea was formed?” Chi Yuan asked.

Her speech made the woman retreat, but the other party still refused to give up. She reached out and grabbed Chi Yuan by the collar, trying to force her to submit: “Everyone sleeping on the bottom of the sea is an outcast!”

“I’ve seen you.”

Even though she was caught by the collar, Chi Yuan still didn’t change her face: “You are the deep sea that attacked the school, and even opened a hole in my chest.”

“It’s incredible that you survived and still have memories.” The woman narrowed her eyes slightly, “Although we already know that humans cultivate weapons against us in that broken courtyard…”

Speaking of which, the woman almost gritted her teeth, but she stillShe loosened Chi Yuan’s collar and took two steps back.

The woman looked angry, but she wasn’t angry at Chi Yuan. The way she looked at Chi Yuan was more pity and sympathy.

“You will suffer even more in the future. Come with us.” The woman stretched out her hand again, but this time she was an invitation: “At least if we are together, we will have a greater chance of fighting against humans.”

“I refuse.” Chi Yuan replied.

The woman was not irritated by Chi Yuan’s answer. On the contrary, she let out a long breath as if relieved.

“Although it is a weapon, it is still a human being after all.”

“Before I reach the Arctic Ocean, you have a choice.” The woman turned around.

In Chi Yuan’s eyes, her body gradually became transparent, and finally disappeared above the ocean.

This sea area has returned to silence.

“Can the deep sea talk?” Just when Chiyuan was puzzled by the existence of the woman, everything in front of her eyes became brighter.

The pure white floor tiles appeared in front of Chi Yuan’s eyes instead of the dark and turbulent sea. The slightly warm sunlight shone on the ground, and the gentle discussions of people around gradually entered her ears.

Chi Yuan raised her hand and rubbed her eyes.

Cabot, who was sitting aside flipping through a book, noticed Chi Yuan’s movements. She closed the book and turned her head, reaching out her hand to stop Chi Yuan from wiping her eyes: “Don’t move your eyes recently.”

“…Okay.” Chi Yuan has always listened to Cabot’s words very much, so she quickly put her hands down, even her eyes were still very uncomfortable.

Seeing Chiyuan blinking her eyes hard, Cabot couldn’t bear it, but her eyes are currently in the early stages of crystallization, so it’s best not to be disturbed by external forces.

By slowly cultivating the crystallized eyeballs, at least her vision can be preserved, and she won’t completely lose her vision like the original experimenter.

As long as she can spend more time with Chiyuan, Cabot has the confidence to eliminate all negative influences——

However, the news from the headquarters has stated that the β-type deep sea is almost approaching the Arctic Ocean.

If her goal is really the Arctic Ocean, then Chiyuan and the others may go to the battlefield within six months after graduation.
