“That was when the name Mrs.Yan came in.”

Yan Chuyang blinked his eyes in confusion, “That was when what?”

“That was when Mr. Wei ordered all employees to address you as Mrs.Yan to show that you were taken. He warned us that whoever showed interest in you would be fired.”

“What! How can he do this to me?” Yan Chuyang clenched his fists angrily. “I only talked to those girls because they were working hard. I was trying to cheer them up. ”

“Well,” Feng frowned at Yan Chuyang’s explanation, “You might as well only think about cheering Mr. Wei up from now on.”

Feng’s words rendered Yan Chuyang to remain silent for a while, then Yan Chuyang asked, “Where is Wei Qing? I need to talk to him.”

That was out of Feng’s expectation because he looked uneasy about Yan Chuyang’s question, “Well…you know…Mr. Wei…Mr.Wei is…”

“Why are you so nervous?” Yan Chuyang “interrogated” him.

“I’m certainly not…” Feng said so while trying to loosen his tie a little.

“But you were stunned.”

“I did… I did not.”

Yan Chuyang sensed Feng was hiding something, so he decided not to waste his time anymore. He headed to Wei Qing’s office to talk to Wei.

“Wait, Mist…Mrs. Yan! Mrs.Yan!” Feng went after Yan Chuyang, trying to stop him.

Yan Chuyang grew irritated at Feng’s behaviors. If Wei was indeed in a meeting, why did Feng try to stop him? That was fishy!

“Mrs.Yan, stop!” Feng held Yan Chuyang’s arms. “Mr. Wei is in a meeting now. Why don’t you await him for a while?”

“It is okay. ” Yan Chuyang said emotionlessly, “It is not the first time I walked in when he was having a meeting. I won’t bother him. Besides, I am studying the same thing that he is probably discussing now. Perhaps I will give him some insightful advice.”

“But…”

Yan Chuyang turned a deaf ear to Feng and went on.

Feng grasped Yan Chuyang’s wrists in a hurry: “Mrs.Yan! Stop! Please. ”

Yan Chuyang glanced at him coldly, “Feng, I believe that Mr. Wei has told you not to have physical contacts with me. Do you think he will be happy to see you grasping my wrists?”

Feng immediately let go of Yan Chuyang’s wrists and took two steps away from him. “I’m sorry. I was just trying to stop you.”

Yan Chuyang snorted, “Don’t ever touch me again.”

With these said, Yan Chuyang went into an elevator that took him to Wei Qing’s executive office on the top level.

Feng dared not to touch Yan Chuyang again, but he had to follow Yan Chuyang.

There were many a office in the same style as Wei Qing’s on the top level, but Yan Chuyang knew which one was Wei Qing’s.

He knew it too well because he used to frequent it about a month ago. Back then, Wei Qing insisted on inviting Yan Chuyang to join him after Yan Chuyang graduated. He also contantly discussed business plans and projects with Yan Chuyang.

When Wei Qing was not in the office, he would stay at home and shared with Yan Chuyang knowledges about business contracts, fashion design and company operation. They were less a couple than a lecturer and a student. Wei Qing would even give him assignments.

There were even a few times when Wei Qing shared with Yan Chuyang top business secrets and classified documents.

Those were good old days. They spent most of time together and Yan Chuyang could feel that Wei Qing wanted him to stay.

Back then when Yan Chuyang was tired from studying, he would rest in another room next to Wei’s office. Sometimes, however, Wei would join him in that room. Of course, they did more than resting in that room.

But soon, Wei Qing did not want him in the office.

Wei started to reject Yan Chuyang’s suggestiongs of going with him to the company over the weekend so that Yan Chuyang could learn fashion design drawing better. Wei’s excuse was he was too busy to take care of Yan Chuyang in the company.

That excuse was certainly lame for Yan Chuyang was not a kid anymore. He certainly did not need Wei to babysit him. It was quite obvious to Yan Chuyang that Wei was getting tired of him.

It was not a good sign for a relationship. Wei started to grow impatient with him after living together for a few days. The romance between them began to decline even before the seven-year itch.

How were they going to spend a life-time together with each other?

Yan Chuyang’s recollection came to an abrupt end when he found Wei’s office.

He didn’t knock on the door at once for he was also afraid that Wei was acturally having a meeting. He didn’t mean to bother Wei.

Nor did he want to frustrate Wei.

While Yan Chuyang was hesitated, Feng showed up. He was out of breath for following Yan Chuyang all the way here. When he saw Yan Chuyang standing outside Wei’s office, he tried to stop Yan Chuyang again, “Mrs…”

“Shh—” Yan Chuyang gestured him to be quiet.

Feng understood the gesture well so he stood behind Yan Chuyang quietly.

The two stood there in silence for a while before Yan Chuyang pressed his ears against the door and began to eavesdrop.

It sounded quite noisy inside.

But it was obviously not meeting noises.

In normal circumstances, most meeting partcipants in the company were male employees because Wei didn’t hire many women.

But what Yan Chuyang heard inside the room was undoubtedly women’s voices.

They seemed chit-chating and laughing. And the noises didn’t sound like one girl’s voice, but a group of girls’!

Yan Chuyang felt furious, clenching his fists angrily. When he heard a sweet woman’s voice asking “where is Mr. Wei?”, that was the last straw that broke his nerve. He yelled at Feng in a low voice, “So you said he was in a meeting?”

Feng nodded awkwardly: “Well…yeah.”

“With a group of girls?”

“Well…”

It was more than Yan Chuyang could bear. He took out his card and swiped in.

He was stunned at the scene inside Wei’s office.

A room occupied by women.

A room occupied by pretty women with unique and different styles. All at their prime years.

Well Well Well.

Yan Chuyang sneered silently. Wei, that lucky bastard!

The noises inside the room were stopped by Yan Chuyang’s sudden interruption

Eventually, a girl who sat closest to Yan Chuyang broke the silence. “I am sorry, sir. You are?”

Yan Chuyang was infuriated by the question, but he didn’t want to behave ungentlemanly. He avoided answering the girl’s question and instead asked her politely, “May I know your name, Miss?”
