Xiaomao looked back when the loud explosion occurred. At first, he thought that someone made a mess after he had followed Comet to the basement floor.

He was distracted for a moment before he remembered that he didn't have much time. The quest menu even warned him.

[The quest doesn't state the time limit, but you only have ten minutes to complete the mission. Do it quickly before the mansion is burnt to the ground.]

‘Burn to the ground. Right. Did Bush set the mansion on fire or something?'

Xiaomao pursed his lips and opened his supporter's menu. He instructed Shepherd and Lucky to hurry and leave the mansion with the quest items without waiting for him, and their rendezvous point was their ship. Then, he followed the trail of the maids and Comet.

It didn't take long before Xiaomao reached where Comet and others were. Everybody was busy transferring liquid from the potion tanks to smaller containers, such as glass bottles, jars, and canteens. The maids packed the potion bottles and loaded them into a cart while the others pushed them to the roped elevator, which was next to the stairs.

Xiaomao stepped aside, letting a maid pass by. That maid reached the stairs to the ground floor and discovered that the mansion was caught on fire. She ran back to Comet.

"Sir, the mansion is on fire!"

"WHAT?!"

Comet and the other bodyguard rushed to the ground floor. When they found the burning curtains, furniture, and rugs, he clicked his tongue.

"The fire is nothing. Half of the mansion's first floor is made from marble and gemstones. Tell the maids that can use water bullets and water manipulation spell to come here and extinguish the fire! The rest of you, go back and pack potions into bottles. Our lord needs them to defend the city. If we're late, the undead army will kill us all!"

Hearing about the undead army, the maids panicked. Half of them stopped working and trembled in fear while the other half cried._.

"Shut up! Get your ass to work or I'll blow your legs!"

When Comet mentioned it, Xiaomao looked at the maids' legs. Indeed, they had the same device as Bush. However, Comet and his friend didn't have one.

In case of failure, all your status attributes and spiritual roots will permanently decrease by half, and you will suffer from the abnormal status effect, [Weaken], for 90 days.

This time, he didn't think of storing the entire tank in his inventory. He thought of replacing the tank in his inventory with the tank that the maids were using.

He compared it to the regular mana potions in the market. The one that he had bought only restore 1,000 mana, and they contained 200cc per bottle. On the other hand, this one added regeneration buff and cured annoying abnormal statuses.

The cat licked his lips. He turned to the other potion tank. Without hesitation and fear, he shoved another full tank into his inventory slot.

The maids witnessed how the mana tanks disappeared in disbelief. Most of them dropped their jaws in shock while a few maids screamed in fright.

"G-GHOST!"

Comet heard the commotion. He rushed back to see what had happened.

Then, he noticed that the mana tanks were gone. Even the drug ones were missing.

Comet looked around the room, searching for an intruder or a ghost. However, he couldn't see anyone suspicious.

Suddenly, several carts full of mana containers vanished into thin air. Only the cart with contaminated potions were left.

"…"

Comet narrowed his eyes. As he glared at the location where the cart was missing, he noticed a wiggling transparent blob, which moved around on the wall, heading toward other sealed crates and chests.

"WHO GOES THERE?!"
