Apocalypse Cheater

108 Leila and Cecilia

The case of Jason Kail and his ominous plan had been violently settled before it could even commence.

With the hindrance to her love life removed, Cecilia exited the mansion with a smile brighter than the sun.

"Now, there's no longer anyone that will be in our way," she hummed a melody as she skipped happily while walking.

However, as soon as she walked out, she came across a mature lady whose beauty was so striking it made her doubt her own.

This puzzled Cecilia, as the area should have been cordoned off or guarded by the butlers to prevent any unwanted people from entering.

Cecilia's suspicions grew as she became wary of the woman's identity.

"Who are you?" she questioned vigilantly.

Upon noticing the woman's presence, Lestia and the other butlers became alert and surrounded Cecilia, ready to protect her from any potential danger.

The woman slightly raised her eyebrow as she observed the situation, and eventually, she spoke.

"So... you're Cecilia, huh? The one that my son... dates...?"

The woman's voice carried an eerie emptiness, and her eyes seemed to hold an intensity that defied words.

Cecilia's mind raced as she tried to understand the woman's meaning.

'Don't tell me...!?' It suddenly clicked, and she realized the truth.

She had never seen Daniel's mother before, but the resemblance was uncanny.

There were more similarities than differences.

"So... you're my hubby's mother?"

Cecilia said cheerfully, unaware that her words were unsettling Leila.

"Hubby?"

Leila's eyes twitched, and she found the term annoying, but she managed to calm herself before things escalated.

"Yes, I'm Daniel's mother," Leila admitted, clearing her throat.

"I came down here after hearing about the Kail Family's plans to harm my son"

"I never thought I would personally meet the woman my son likes,"

Leila said as she approached Cecilia.

"We have so much to talk about. Would you care for some coffee?"

Leila offered, and Cecilia enthusiastically replied with a resounding "Yes!"

The two women, linked by their connection to Daniel, find a restaurant to settle down for a conversation that promises to be quite interesting.

As Cecilia and Leila sat down with cups of coffee, they began to talk. It was an unusual encounter, given Cecilia's prior knowledge of Daniel's family, and Leila's unexpected arrival.

Leila started the conversation, "So, Cecilia, tell me about yourself. How did you meet my son?"

Cecilia, still somewhat surprised by the situation, began to recount her story, from their first meeting to their growing relationship.

She described the moments that had brought them closer.

After Cecilia had ended, Leila asked her with another question.

"Then I guess both of you must have gone that far right?"

She had jealousy in her eyes, but for her who loved her son, she knew that it wouldn't be good if she fought against them.

"Yes" She answered and she felt bizzared by the question. Nonetheless, she still answered it.

Cecilia noticed the hint of jealousy in Leila's eyes but chose to respond honestly.

"Yes, we've gone quite far in our relationship. We love each other deeply."

Leila sighed, a mix of emotions swirling within her.

She was happy that her son had found someone he loved so dearly, but she couldn't help feeling a twinge of jealousy as a mother who had to share her son's affections.

"I'm glad to hear that," Leila said with a faint smile.

"Daniel deserves to be happy, and if you're the one who makes him happy, then I can't complain."

Cecilia appreciated Leila's understanding, realizing that this meeting had the potential to strengthen the bond between her and Daniel's family.

Leila's maternal instincts and love for her son outweighed any feelings of jealousy or possessiveness.

She knew that her son had been through unimaginable situations that she wouldn't be able to fathom.

Rather than making his situation worse,

Her priority was to support and protect him.

"Umm... Ma'am," Cecilia began, unsure of how to address her.

Just call me Aunt Leila," Leila replied with a warm smile.

"Then, Aunt Leila, what was Daniel like as a child?"

Cecilia's eyes gleamed with curiosity, eager to uncover sides of Daniel's life she might never have known.

Leila's expression began to crumble as she struggled to find words to describe Daniel's childhood to her future daughter-in-law.

Although she may never fully forgive herself, she knows that Daniel has forgiven me for the past.

Leila felt compelled to share the stories of why she had abandoned Daniel, and how he had ultimately accepted and forgiven her, despite the hardships she had caused him.

She didn't divulge details of Daniel's future, keeping that part of his story private.

"And that's about it... I suppose I've been less than less-than-ideal mother" She said with a touch of self-deprecating humour.

Cecilia, touched by Leila's vulnerability and honesty, voiced her thoughts.

"Aunt Leila, it's not your fault. We all make mistakes in life, and sometimes, circumstances force us to make difficult choices"

"What matters most is that you and Daniel have found each other again, and you have his forgiveness and love. That's a precious gift."

Leila looked at Cecilia with gratitude in her eyes.

"You're a remarkable young woman, Cecilia. I can see why Daniel cares so much for you."

Cecilia blushed at the compliment, feeling a deeper connection with Daniel's family.

"Thank you, Aunt Leila. I promise to take good care of him."

Leila smiled warmly. "I have no doubt that you will. Now, let's continue our conversation over some coffee. I'd love to hear more about your plans and dreams for the future."

As they conversed, Cecilia and Leila began to bond, forging a connection that would strengthen their family ties and bring them closer to Daniel's heart.

The first meeting between her son's lover and his mother-in-law turned out to be a moment that forged a close relationship between them.

Though Leila found it challenging to accept at first, she couldn't deny that Cecilia was the perfect choice for her son.

With her beauty, confidence, demeanour, personality, and connections, she would be an excellent partner for Daniel.

'I'll always be there for my son, ready to support him whenever he needs it, and I'll do anything to protect him' She declared.

Still, it has been quite some time since the tutorial began and I'm quite delighted by the result' She summoned her stats and gazed at it with a wide smile.

At some point during their time together, Leila and Cecilia enjoyed the moments they had shared.

Before parting ways, Leila offered some advice.

"Cecilia, there's one thing you should know," she began.

"What is it, Aunt Leila?"

Cecilia smiled warmly, feeling a bond with Leila stronger than that with her own mother.

"If you truly love Daniel, then please always be by his side"

"He may seem strong on the outside, but we may never know what's inside," Leila advised.

"Don't worry, Aunt Leila, I will always be by his side," Cecilia assured her.

"If you say it like that, then I won't be worried,"

Leila replied before they went their separate ways, the bond between them strengthened.

After parting ways with Leila, Cecilia and Lestia continued on their journey.

The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm, golden hue over the landscape.

Lestia couldn't help but notice the happiness radiating from her lady.

Cecilia's steps were lighter, her smile brighter, and her eyes sparkled with a newfound joy.

"You look happy, my lady," Lestia remarked, her eyes filled with curiosity.

Cecilia replied with a cheerful smile, "How can I not? I never thought that hubby's mother would turn out to be such a nice person, not like those in movies or dramas. I quite like her. I think we can get along."

As they continued their leisurely walk, Cecilia couldn't help but think about the events of the day.

One was the downfall of Jason, and the other was meeting Leila, which had turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
