Chap 13: The Nonexistent World That Resembles a Light Novel

“Gyagyaa!”

“Kishaa!”

Despite being on the top floor, it seems like there are over a hundred goblins.

As I continue slashing through them one after another…

“Pl-Please… help me!”

A woman dressed in a robe comes running, pleading for assistance. It’s the same voice I heard on the 9th floor.

Something about her desperate expression made it seem like she was running away from something terrifying. She was just a few steps away from reaching us… And then it happened.

“————Gungnir!”

Alma threw her spear towards the woman.

“What…!?”

In an instant, the woman spewed a massive amount of blood from her mouth. Blood gushed out from her abdomen.

No wonder. The spear had pierced through her body.

“…Don’t you dare touch Kuro-kun with those filthy hands,” Alma said, glaring at the woman with contempt. Rafia had the same expression.

…Once these two enter that mode, they can’t be stopped anymore.

“W-Why…?”

Unable to speak properly due to the spear piercing her abdomen, the woman vomited blood from her mouth, unable to voice her distress.

Perhaps she thought we came to rescue her.

“…Why? Haha, did you actually think we came to help you?” Alma sneered at the woman and summoned back the thrown spear.

“We know all about you, Goblin Tamer-san,” Rafia said, causing the woman’s face to turn pale.

Her expression seemed to say, “Why would you know that?”

Actually, before heading to the dungeon, we were informed by the receptionist, Nasia-san.

“There might be humans lurking in the Goblin Nest, the lair of the Small Oni Goblins. If that’s the case, please capture them alive,” she explained.

There had been numerous cases of adventurers not returning from the Goblin Nest. The cause was unknown.

That’s why it seemed Nasia-san wanted to entrust the request to a strong guild like ours.

To enter this dungeon, we needed the permit we had obtained earlier. However, the woman was already here before we arrived. In other words, she was in cahoots with the goblins.

“H-How dare you… Just when I was making a fortune using the goblins…”

As I looked behind the woman, I noticed various objects scattered about that resembled human remains. They emitted an overwhelming stench.

“I see. They took valuables and equipment from the men, while the women were used for the goblins’ sexual desires,” I remarked.

“That’s right… These goblins had been collecting valuables, and I seized the opportunity to tame them and claim the spoils for myself,” she confessed.

“Taming” refers to the magic that allows one to control monsters as they please. To put it simply, it’s like hypnosis. Taming such a large number of them at once requires a considerable amount of magical power.

“Just because you found out doesn’t mean anything. I won’t… give up!” the woman declared.

Then, she took out a vial filled with a liquid from her pocket and started drinking it. It was a healing potion.

Her abdomen, pierced by the spear, rapidly began to heal itself.

“Hmph… I’ll admit that you’ve made it to the 9th floor with your abilities. However, it ends here!”

As soon as she finished speaking, something flew towards me.

I barely managed to notice it grazing past me. It was a knife.

“…Ah!”

Alma and Rafia, genuinely worried, called out to me.

“Kuro-kun!”

“Kuro-san!”

Even if you’re so worried, there’s no need to be.

I touched my cheek and the blood that was dripping had stopped. Well, to be more accurate, the wound had healed.

“You can’t harm me.”

I showed the surprised woman the ring I had on my index finger as I said that.

This ring is a magical tool I received from the goddess. It automatically heals any injuries I sustain. It’s quite remarkable. As long as this ring remains intact, not a single scratch will be left on me.

Suddenly, I felt a pitch-black aura coming from the person next to me.

“Kuro-san… Can I kill this person?”

“Huh? Killing is not allowed, you know?”

Murder is a big no-no.

“Well then, is it okay if I don’t kill, but just… harm them a little?”

“U-um, yeah. As long as we don’t kill, it should be fine, right?”

If it’s just to the extent of not killing, I can use the ring for healing.

“—Excalibur!”

Rafia pushed the woman down and fiercely thrust her dual swords.

“A-argh…!?”

With each piercing thrust, blood splattered and flesh became visible, even the bones.

They say that people from the past understood the workings of the body by witnessing such states.

“S-s-stop… Gah… please… forgive… me…”

“Forgive? What does that even mean? Please, spare me the jokes.”

There was no light in Rafia’s eyes.

I-I’m scared… Is she a yandere? No, more like a psychopath?

“The blow you dealt to Kuro-san is equivalent to a hundred strikes against us. So, you’ll have to endure being stabbed at least a hundred times. It would be troublesome otherwise.”

I glanced at the goblins, and it seemed that they were intimidated by the sight as well.

“We should deal with the goblins now…”

“Yeah, let’s do that.”

The immobilized goblins were easy targets for hunting, and we took care of them in about a minute.

“Uh, Rafia? Rafia-san? Can you hear me?”

Even though I tried to talk to Rafia after sweeping away the goblins, she seemed completely absorbed in stabbing.

“…Yes? What is it, Kuro-san?”

Rafia, stained with splatters of blood, had a faint smile on her face. Her eyes didn’t reflect any joy.

Wow, even Rafia got covered in splatters. She’s all bloody now.

“I’ll stop here, yeah. The organs are coming out and stuff, so, yeah. It’s unbearable to watch anymore, yeah,” I said.

If I didn’t have the endurance like me, I’d be vomiting like crazy in this situation.

“No matter how much it is an order from you, Kuro-san, I cannot obey. I won’t be satisfied until I’ve stabbed this female at least 50 more times.”

Ah, she’s already stabbed her 50 more times…

“Rafia~, let me have a go too, okay?”

“…Sure, then I’ll leave the remaining 50 to Alma-chan.”

“Yeah, leave it to me♪ I’ll stab away just like Rafia♪”

That being said, the woman’s body was not just covered in blood, but her organs were protruding, her limbs were torn apart, and there was nowhere left to stab.

“Even though I received it from you, Kuro-kun… I’ll just put it on♪”

Alma, who had put on the same ring as me, on the woman. And then, the woman’s body, which had been in such a terrible state, began to miraculously restore itself.

After a few minutes, her body returned to its original pristine condition.

“Huh… What happened to me?”

“Oh, you woke up?”

“Eek!?”

As soon as the woman saw Alma, she let out a scream and trembled as if she had witnessed something truly terrifying.

“You’re full of energy. Well then, let’s go for round two ♥.”

After saying that, she pierced the woman’s abdomen once again with her spear.

“Aaaahhhhh!?”

The screams were even more agonizing than before. Blood splattered everywhere. However, the wound quickly healed.

“That magical tool can heal any injury in just one second. But we can stab you about 0.1 seconds faster, so we’ll have the chance to stab you at least ten times before you heal. Isn’t that great?”

Rafia smiled cheerfully, while the woman wore a look of despair. It was truly a juxtaposition of heaven and hell.

“Now, I wonder how many more times we have to repeat this until you give up? Make sure it’s at least fifty times.”

Watching Alma behave like that, I couldn’t help but find those squeaky goblin voices more endearing.

After stabbing her about fifty times, Rafia’s hand finally stopped.

“Phew, I’ve stabbed enough.”

She said it as if she had finished a day’s work, but beneath her, there was a woman covered in so much blood that her original form couldn’t be discerned, her body completely torn apart.

“Die… Die…”

The woman was still breathing.

Thanks to the timely application and removal of the ring, she was kept from dying.

“What should we do, Kuro-kun?”

“It’s all over. I’ll put the ring on her to heal her and send her back. The emotional damage must be significant.”

Even though they appeared to have recovered physically, they still felt the pain. Being stabbed over a hundred times would undoubtedly take a toll on their mental state.

This world doesn’t work out as smoothly as in the light novels of my past life.

When it comes to things like becoming a bodyguard for some young lady or becoming popular with beautiful girls after defeating an S-rank monster, those things don’t exist in this world.

And above all…

“Hehe, it’s because you wanted to hurt Kuro-san, that you’re experiencing such pain.”

“That’s right, that’s right! If only you hadn’t hurt Kuro-kun, we would have just caught you!”

The guild members are incredibly troublesome. They’re as heavy as a yandere. Rather than yanderes, they’re closer to being psychopaths. It’s almost like how I used to be bullied.

“Shall we go, Kuro-san?”

“Let’s go, Kuro-kun!”

Rafia and Alma returned to their usual selves. They bound the woman with chains and decided to head back to the guild house. Of course, we held hands along the way.
