Almighty Summoner System

Chapter 45: First Quest: Completed!

"I can?" Ban tilted his head in bewilderment. As all his knowledge about the Adventurers Guild mostly came from the talks of the Adventurers, there's more likely a thing or two things that he might have missed.

Receiving rewards from spotting new Red Termite dwellings was just one of them.

"Yes! In fact, it's the same if you manage to find any new beast, new herbs, and other Beast Nest as well. It also applies if you manage to find a new use for a certain plant. For example, the Red Cave Rock is one of the ingredients for procuring a Beast Repellent powder, however, if you somehow manage to discover a new use for it, you will receive massive rewards depending on the extent the discovery might affect the city."

"Well, it's tiring explaining this all to you so I'll just give you the Guild's handbook."

After saying that, she turned around and took a thick book from the shelves before handing it to Ban right after.

Ban received it and before he opened it, he asked, "By the way, I think you should update the Quest Description. I have encountered a Red Termite on the way down and fortunately, it did not attack me and I turned around right away."

From what he knew, the level of difficulty of the Quest depends on the factor involving that said Quest. For example, if the one who requested the Quest said that it was rather safe and some dangers might be expected, then it would usually be listed as an F Grade Quest.

However, if one could confirm that it was dangerous, by sighting a Beast, Traps, and other things that might endanger an Adventurer's life, its Grade would be automatically set to E Grade or above and the rewards received will also increase. For instance, from the previous 2 Silver Coins per piece of Red Cave Rock, one might receive 3 or above depending on the danger involved.

"Is that true?"

Usually, every time a person issued a Quest, the Adventurers Guild would confirm its legitimacy first before allowing the Adventurers to accept and complete it.

"Yes!" Ban affirmed before he gives Marrie the exact location of the cave. Although he did not encounter a normal Red Termite Beast and instead a Rogue and a Hermit, they were still nevertheless a member of the Red Termite Beast family.

He was worried that some of the Red Termites might go upwards due to the recent Beast Tide issue so he thought that it would be better to report it to the Adventurers Guild and let them deal with it.

And based on Marrie's expression, he could not help but think that he had become much better at lying with a straight face.

"Thank you for this valuable information. It was an excellent decision not trying to approach it. Although they may be known for being docile, a Beast is still a Beast and it might attack you for no reason."

Ban could only smile wryly at what she said. If only she knew of the whole truth, she would surely gasp in shock and bewilderment.

"We will immediately dispatch a team of Adventurers to check the cave and raise the Quest Grade if necessary. Also, if the cave you went to really is a new Red Termite Cave, you would still receive your rewards for it."

She then continued, "Please wait for a moment, I'll hand in your Quest to the Guild Master so that you can receive your rewards. The amount of Silver Coins on my desk is not enough to pay you, hehe!" Marrie said in embarrassment.

"Alright, no problem, and thank you!"

Ban also expressed his thanks as he waited for Marrie to hand over his Rewards.

After a while, Marrie returned with a pouch full of Silver Coins.

"You collected a total of 77 Red Cave Rocks and each of them cost 2 Silver Coins. Here's your 154 Silver Coin Rewards."

Ban did not waste his time counting what's inside the pouch as he decided to pick it up excitedly before hugging it on his chest. It was his first time earning this amount of Coins on the get-go and he could not help but feel excited about it.

Ban expressed his thanks to Marrie again before sprinting out of the Adventurers Guild.

He may feel elated by the amount of Coins he earned but he won't let his ego bloat that much. He knew the reality that what he earned is just a fraction of what the other Adventurers could earn.

He returned to the Kuys Bar and ate his lunch before going upstairs towards his room. Kuys inquired on how the registration went and Ban briefed him on what happened. Of course, he omitted some parts just like the appearance of the Hermit and the Rogue Red Termite.

Kuys was surprised after knowing that Ban had already finished his first Quest right after he registered to become one. Ban did not go into details into what kind of Quest he completed as he knew that Marrie or Emelia would still report it to Kuys.

Kuys also did not hinder him further as he let Ban go upstairs after making fun of him. There was only little customers at the Bar during these hours as most of the Adventurers would only return during the night after completing their Quests.

In his room in the attic, Ban took a small box under his bed and opened it to reveal his current Silver Coin savings. There were 65 Silver Coins inside the box and with the recent 154 Silver Coins he earned from the Quest, he now has a total of 219 Silver Coins in his possession.

Ban put them all in the pouch and stored them inside the Dimensional Storage.

He then went to his drawer and chose an outfit that could hide his figure, it was a maroon colored coat with a hoodie attached to it.

This was his first time wearing such an outfit and he felt a little uncomfortable by the unfamiliar feeling. He only buttoned the center most button as he went to the tall mirror just beside his head.

Ban had natural silver hair and eyebrows. As his gramps also have the same kind of look, Ban thought at first that it was quite normal not until he saw the first human apart from his gramps. And when he arrived at the Eagle City, it was then he realized that hairs came in different colors and there's really no definition on what was considered normal.

However, based on what he observed, those who have a black hair mostly contain the majority of the population of the city and there's only occasional people that have their hair colored, may it be natural or artificial.

His tall physique was reflected on the mirror as well as his muscular build. However, with the coat on paired with the Ant Mask, he doubted if anyone would still recognize him.

Ban hurriedly took off the coat and the mask and stored them inside the Dimensional Storage before he went downstairs.

His destination was the Adventurers Market. He wanted to try his luck and see if he could find any of the ingredients for his medicine. Even obtaining information about them will be enough for him.

He also wanted to sell the Red Hermit Termite's parts that he harvested earlier for an extra income and use the coins earned for buying some things that he or the Book of Techniques might recognize as something useful for his current situation.

However, before all of that, he first wanted to inquire Kuys about the Elder Monk Tree and try to obtain some if he could- for free, of course.
