On the sky, lightning crisscrossed among the clouds and thunder roars. The thunder break the sky and lightning bolts strikes the ground. 

Before Varnikar had the chance to make his move Arial was already in front of him. In that brief moment their eyes look at each other as Arial hand shoot forward. 

The sound of the wind tearing and the footwork that Arial executed makes him appears like some kind of silhouettes moving as unpredictable as the wind

Varnikar saw with his eyes that Arial shoot his hand toward his wrist. He wanted to pull his wrist away but by then it is already too late.

Wind whooshing, moves exchanged and Arial perform Dragon Claw. Arial smiles the moment he shoots out his hand.

He is confident

Varnikar wrist is caught by Arial. 

'Shit' Varnikar cursed in his heart. 

Varnikar tries to pull out his wrist but inner energy is applied in that capturing motion. It is like metal is clamping on his wrist. 

At the same time that Varnikar tries to release his left wrist, Arial kick the claymore on his right hand.

In that kick, Arial focus his inner energy on the surface of his feet and the force is focused on the claymore

And as he kicks it, thunder exploded from the end of his feet. 

So, even with Varnikar powerful strength, he could not stubbornly hold his weapon. 

The thunder that travels through the claymore shot up to his hand, numbing it but the force of the kick force the claymore to flew out from his hand, causing a few bones in his fingers to breaks

Varnikar eyes could see that his weapon flew backward. But Arial still has his sword. 

'Oh, you will not get me that easy!' He roars as pulls his wrist backward. 

This time he was determined

The Dragon Bite is called the Dragon Bite because once a dragon bite it would never let go 

But there is a way for someone to break the method. But rarely one chooses the methods because usually Arial would have finished the battle by then

But Varnikar chooses to do one method that nobody would choose. He pulls his wrist backward and the sound of the snapping bones could be heard. 

In that moment Varnikar chooses to let his bones break rather than letting the pace of the battle falls onto Arial hand.

Arial attack is not simply the locking of joints but in that moment when Varnikar choose to use a brutal method to escape from the Dragon Claw, the inner energy on Arial palm was shot toward Varnikar wrist

The sound of the bones breaking sounds like the popping off the exploding fruit. His left hand bones were all broken in succession. 

And the pain probably is off the charts.

Arial frowned but he tries to adjust his Dragon Bite. Arial did not want to kill Varnikar.

So, he loosened his grip a bit but Varnikar notices it the moment Arial did that

In that brief moment of loosening his grip Varnikar kick toward Arial groin area.

'Shit' Arial cursed as he saw the kick is about to arrive. Like Arial Varnikar kick also seems to be powerful enough to injure him

But not only it had the same power and impact like Arial kick, it is also directed toward his groin area.

Both of his hand is not free right now but that did not mean he did not have a method to block that attack

Arial lift his other foot and uses it to shield his groin area. 

'Hahaha!'

Varnikar laugh. 

Even at this current situation, where his bones were broken to such a degree he could still laugh not showing any expression of pain

The moment Arial heard the laugh he knows that Varnikar attack might have changed.

But in that brief second there is not many moves he could take. Not to mention that Varnikar still could attack with his hand.

Varnikar smiles as his kick in midair suddenly changes direction.

Then the kick now directed at Arial knee.

Arial curses in his mind as he saw Varnikar kick is about to connect. He quickly uses his inner energy to cover his knee and the kick finally connects 

A flash of thunder exploded in the sky but on the ground two arcs of lightning exploded upwards and downward.

The air around Arial and Varnikar seems to be pushed away distorting the space around them

BOOOM! The sound of explosion shocked everyone who is watching. They saw a brief lightning explosion in the center of the battle between Arial and Varnikar. 

The force of Varnikar kick is not some small force of power. It created a whiplash force of wind behind Arial knees when his knee got kick by Varnikar. 

And since Arial had Divine Thunder, he also uses it to protect his knee. 

But Varnikar also have the blessing of the Gods of Storms and Thunder and in that moment when his kick connected to the knee, the swirling lightning around Arial body exploded out. 

At the same time a lightning bolt shot out from the tip of Varnikar feet like he is some kind of conduit for lightning.

Because of this magical battle that seems to go beyond normal battle, with Divine powers and Divine Essence, a shocking scene was produced

When they collide it was like Gods were fighting as even the clouds above seems to be affected. 

The lightning and thunder on the clouds above them seems to went crazy, as the thunder roars like a wounded beast, shaking the hearts of everyone inside the outer city.

The thunder shot down from the heavens creating lots of small crater all over the bridges

Everyone who is looking at this battle is dumbfounded. It refreshes their thinking of how great warriors fight with each other.

Even Giovani was shocked. 

He was shocked that the old man is that powerful. 

But what shocked him more is that his Emperor, his liege had such power and abilities.

At first he thought his eyes had deceived him but he is pretty sure that when his lord was attacking the old man, lightning seems to swirl around him. 

He had heard from one of the officers that fought alongside his lord during the taking of Balhae city that thunder and lightning seems to follow his lord like he could control it but he thought it is just a tall tale

It isn't until now that he saw with his own eyes that his lord seems to be able to control thunder and lightning.

'Magic?' he thought to himself. 

Even as many people were shocked seeing the battle, the fight between Varnikar and Arial did not yet end with that attack. 

Both were powerful and both have methods that they did not yet shows each other. 

And Varnikar attack did not stop just yet

After he kicks the knee, in that moment as the kick connected to the knee, the thunder around them exploded upwards and outwards, the shockwave erupted, in that moment of shocks and powerful impact, Varnikar uses the rebounding force from that kick to change his attack direction again.

Arial was shocked that he could endure the shockwave.
