Age of Heroes

The street is full with pirates, waving the flag of a red skull and rose at the teeth of the skull.

Some waves their cutlass, some waved their blades, other totes their spears, and some hit their shield with their weapon, creating deafening sound in the sea of people.

It was like a festival for pirates.

'Shiver me timbers' she heard one pirates said.

'Yang Guifei has returned! The tainted Rose!' 

'The Pirates of the Azure Dragon is coming here. She might shiver your timber all right, Old Dangrove'

Hearing this even Mikael is pale in his face. He looked flustered when he heard the name Yang Guifei. Sweats formed on his forehead.

Rhyssa was about to ask who is this Yang Guifei, that she would give this much pressure to Mikael when suddenly her ears caught a conversation about Yang Guifei. 

Using her internal energy to enhance her hearing is not hard and she focuses her ears and blocked out the rest of the noise to hear about Yang Guifei.

'Who is she?' One pirates asked the other pirates. The pirates that is asking is young and might only be around sixteen of age.

'You don't know her? Haii. A frog living under a well, you are! She is one of the Five Tainted Roses of the Sea. Pirate Lord Yang Guifei has hundreds of ships and some 50,000 men, she preyed on the fishing vessels, supply junks, and coastal villages of Ming and they even clash with the Ming Imperial Government once, and they defeated the Ming massive navy.'

'Humph' one woman pirates snorted. 

'That is not all. Five Tainted Roses of the Sea is the five most powerful women in the sea. And I daresay of the five women, Pirate Lord Yang outclassed them all' the woman said in pride. Then she continued.

'She plundered her way across the Eastern Seas and assembled a fleet that rivaled many countries navies. Most of her crew is woman.'

'Why do you think that is huh?' Another chimed in.

'She penned a rigorous code of conduct for her pirates. Rape of female prisoners was punishable by beheading, and deserters had their ears lopped off. Ah, if only I could become a crew member of her pirate crew I would be rich right now.'

Then another pirates chimed in.

'Hmph, you Giselle become a crew member of the Azure Dragon? Dream on. They have to brave dangers of the sea, avoid captures by the countless of countries that wanted to chop their head off, and at the same time you have to have considerable strength and reputation to join her pirate crew. You, Giselle are a coward, hate conflict and are weak. If anyone else is unsuitable to become a pirate, you will top the list. You will only send your soul to the Gruhadan Chest.'

Then Rhyssa open her eyes and her sense return to normal and she could hear the cheering again.

Rhyssa finally understand. 

From the distance she could see a large ship approaching the Port with an azure dragon statue in front of the hull and about hundreds of ships behind the main ship coming to port. 

The scene was magnificent and powerful. Like the arrival of a king. It almost resembles her navies.

Then she could hear a pirate yelling his heart out for everyone to hear.

'Hearties to the Tainted Roses! The common folks have the pure roses, Arianna and Rhyssa and we, pirates have the Tainted Roses. Why would we want pure virgins when we can have used up whores? HAHAHAHA' one of the pirates laugh and the others followed. 

'Pirate Yang is said to have technique in bed that would shame the Yellow Sun of Renasia, or the Queen of the Dark Lands Arianna. I count myself lucky to be a pirate.' Another pirates chimed in and the other pirates also agree.

'Hearties, mate!' The other yelled. 

'HAHAHA' they laughed while they are all waiting for the ship to arrive at the Port.

As it nears the man whistled and cheered while the woman also did the same things. Merchants on the market also have certain glints in their eyes. 

Big business has come that is what Rhyssa feel looking at their eyes.

Rhyssa also is moving with the crowd to look at the procession which is moving toward the port. 

'My lady, where are you going?' 

'To see this so called Tainted Rose of the Sea.' 

'My lady, it is better if we do not meddle with this matter.' Mikael said, his voice is trembling and sweat can be seen in his forehead now, gushing like water fountains. 

He really is afraid of this Yang pirate? Why?

'I do not want to meddle. I just wanted to see this so called Pirate Yang. And you will follow me' Rhyssa grab Mikael and with her strength how could Mikael resist. He is dragged to follow her to the port

Mikael face is complicated.

'My lady, it is not wise. It is better if we waited at the inn and move away when this all blows over. When one of the Roses put down their anchor in one of the port cities they will be celebration.' 

'How do you know?' Rhyssa asked. Mikael scratched his head. 

'I just know' he said mysteriously.

'Anyway in these celebrations they will be fights and they will be chaos. The only reason a big character like Pirate Lord Yang is coming here to Port is not only to resupply. She wanted new blood. She wanted new recruits.'

As he is talking the ship have already drop anchor at the Port. A woman can be seen coming down the large ship with two women beside her whose face was full with scars.

They do not smile and their scars are horrendous but nobody said anything about it. Yang Guifei. It means she was an Imperial Consort. Rhysa mused.

Pirate Yang has slender figure, long black hair and piercing hazel eyes, her skin was flawless like porcelain, and her beauty is not exaggerated. 

She is beautiful as they come. But Rhysa believes she is more beautiful. Even if she did not think so, other would also think so. 

Rhysa has that bewitching exotic look, with her light tanned skin and beautiful perfect hair and combine that with her charisma she is fit to stand beside any great Kings or noble. 

And they should be honored to stand beside her.

The woman called Yang Guifei stooped suddenly as her feet step on the port. She looks shocked and her eyes narrowed.

The waves behind her were calm, and the seagull was flying peacefully behind her. 

She looks at the crowds with an intimidating stare suddenly and the atmosphere suddenly felt cold and the cheering stops.

Then she takes one steps and suddenly Rhysa could feel the disturbance in the air, the waves behind the port suddenly becomes turbulent, the seagulls shrieks in fear. 

And they fly far away avoiding the port like it was the plaque.

'ARGHH!' some pirates yelled as they fall to the ground. Rhysa who master the control of internal energy could feel the reverberation of energy, slowly enveloping the whole port. 

Her internal energy is not that different from me. Impressive she mused in her heart. To think pirates have such talents. 

If there is one thing Rhysa likes other than warring it is to scout great talent. She appreciates talents very much. 

It is one of the things she learns from Pedro. 

If they have talents, she has a use for them. It is because of this attitude of hers that her dominion is so stable. 

She did not have the overwhelming power of the million army of Arial massive army but she has many talented people in her employ. 

People who could contend with Arial massive army. Talent's in various fields that would make Arial fightin such complicated way, that even the mighty Celestial Emperor would bound to leave some openings.

The energy reverberated from her steps. Pirate Yang takes another step and many more people fall to the cold hard ground of the port.

'ARGHH! THE PRESSURE IS CHOKING ME!' One of the pirates managed to say before they too drop to the ground.

The pirate's eyes was white like they look at the most scariest thing in the world. The energy is buzzing in Rhysa ears.

Internal energy pressure. 

This is the same as her own energy pressure or the Imposing Presence, the technique of Arial the Celestial Emperor. 

She realizes that Mikael did not faint. He trembles but he did not faint? Could he also hide his internal energy? Rhysa mused. 

Other pirates, that could still stay conscious is kneeling on the cold hard stone tile, with the waves only getting wilder behind the Tainted Rose. 

They are resisting the pressure emitted by Pirate Lord Yang. Behind Rhysa hundreds of pirates have fainted. 

Rhysa is on the same energy level if not higher than Pirate Lord Yang which is why she did not feel the pressure too much.

She and Mikael is the only people in the Port that is still standing and conscious. The previous pirates finally succumbed and fall to the ground, foaming in the mouth.

The people in the city could see that hundreds of pirates rendered unconscious just by two steps of the famed Tainted Rose.

They gasped and admire the power of the crew of Azure Dragon Pirates. Rhysa was about to get to know Pirate Yang and become acquaintances with her. 

Who knows if she could pull this talent to her side? She was about to walk to her but then she sees the pale face of Mikael.

'I knew this was a mistake. Sh..e..sh.e recognized me from the beginning.' He said stuttering and his face could be seen pale white.

He is trying to release herself from Rhysa grasp. Rhysa could feel heat on her hand. Mikael hand is burning with blue flames. 

'Let me go, my lady! We have to run!'

'Run?' Rhysa said looking at Mikael not understanding

Then a yell that could split apart the sky thundered from the direction of Pirate Lord Yang, her face contorted into a hideous expression, like a demon possessed.

'MIKAEL! You Two Faced Shit! You Womanizing Fucker! I am not the captain of the Azure Pirate if I do not skin you alive today, and grind you to meat paste!'

'Pardon me, my lady. It is my queue to fly away' Mikael said and then he flies away. Rhysa looked in bewilderment; her look is a look of confusion.

Yes, he flies and Yang jump to the air as she tries to grab Mikael and she landed in front of Rhysa.

Rhysa is stupefied. He could fly? Fuck…he could fly! She never saw anything that flies other than birds. But a man flying into the sky? This is a new scene.

Pirate Lord Yang then turns her feral gaze at Rhysa. She missed Mikael just by two breaths. Mikael could be seen flying to the city.

One could only imagine her fury when she yelled again

'ARGHHHHHHHH! I WILL GET YOU TODAY!'

She did not say anything but she slashes towards Rhysa with her blade and Rhysa parry the attack with his hand, deflecting the attack and a boom resonated on the port, the harbor shakes with such intensity, the jetty was thrown into disarray and the bodies of the nearby people was thrown away by the force. 

Some were thrown to the sea while others to the side, slamming themselves to the dozens of wooden crates.

Suddenly in the Port a battle has begun. Rhyssa could feel the sensation of the slash in her hand.

She is powerful! She thought to herself in shock. Looking at the wrathful expression of this pirates and the sudden exit of Mikael make her asked herself.

What the fuck just happened? Rhysa mused, gritting her teeth in anger.
