Chapter 315: A Poor Guy

Translator: LiamHW

Although he did not entrust Wu Dahu and Yuan Wenxuan not to run around, but in terms of the character of these two, they were both sober in the head even if he did not bother to ask so.

Song Qinghan quickly back to Muye, found that he just finished doing the step he did just then.

Muye took a glance at Song Qinghan. Though it was a glance plain as a pond of water without disturbance, Song Qinghan could still feel a bit frightened as his back was a bit soaked by his own sweat as if he was being stared by an ancient beast from the remote antiquity.

More than fifty years of accumulation, it was not that as simple as he imagined.

“Finished delivering what should be delivered? Next it’s time to show me what you’ve got.”

Muye said, while throwing the scalpel in his hand towards the plate next to him, if one ever observed it more carefully, he would find that the scalpel was the one belonged to Song Qinghan previously.

After expressing that, Muye suddenly changed his face as his aura reduced to gloom of danger, as if Song Qinghan might get some punishment if he failed to satisfy this demon in front.

Song Qinghan seemed to have expected this change himself. And then he lowered his pupils to stare at the man who was lying peacefully on the bed after he finished disinfecting the scalpel he held in hands. With sudden determination nursed in mind, he continued the surgery while pursing his lips.

Unlike Muye, the surgery he manipulated was rather coherent, as if he did not need to take a pause to determine which part he should cut or stitch. The whole set of movements dazzled Muye a lot in the sight.

But Muye was not a complete amateur, or rather, he was already considered half an insider, at least in terms of practical operation, so the more he watched Song Qinghan’s movements, the more interesting he felt, something in his mind seemed to be sprouting.

However, he did not make a sound to disturb Song Qinghan because he also knew that Song Qinghan at this current situation required a lot concentration. If he was disturbed during the surgery, it would directly affect the final consequence.

After a quarter of an hour passed, Song Qinghan withdrew his hand, put the scalpel back into the wooden box after carefully cleaning it, and looked up to Muye and said, “Mission accomplished, no accident happened, and he will wake up in a day and a night.”

“It won’t take that long.”

To his surprise, Muye shouted casually and abruptly, reached out and took a cold water-soaked towel from the side and whipped it towards the man’s face on the bed.

He who witnessed the scene might draw a conclusion that it couldn’t be the first time for this Muye guy to do such a thing as the force of his hand and the amplitude of the action are very well controlled, not a drop of water splashed out fell on that patient who just received the treatment.

Even though Song Qinghan did not agree with him at such a conclusion, he did not say anything further as Muye had his own thought over it.

Muye looked like a normal research maniac, but in fact he was no more than a temperamental tyrant.

The cold water seemed to be the best sobering agent, and the man opened his eyes in no time, and subconsciously screamed when he saw the towel that was about to fall on his face.

However, the towel did not fell on the man’s face as his expected but came to an abrupt halt midway. Muye withdrew his hand and then he said indifferently as if he was talking to a lifeless object, “Alright, you are not going to die now.”

The man was obviously kind of frightened when Muye was aside with him. He dared not saying anything after woke up from that beating, with his body stiffened there on the bed daring not to even move his finger. He was pathetic than every single mouse Song Qinghan used for surgery experiment.

The mouse at least was aware of how to struggle, yet this person seemed to have been tortured to lose all his vitality. Even though all his physical functions were demonstrating that he was still alive, he bore no difference with a dead person at all right now.

Thinking of this, he took the initiative to speak, “How do you feel now? Any physical discomfort? You should report all the abnormality to us at once, otherwise the consequences are unimaginable.”

Some physical rejections were strong enough that they, the observers, could detect them in time by the observation, but some reactions were not that apparent and no one could be able to figure it out except the patient himself.

The man looked at Muye with a hesitant expression, apparently not understanding why Song Qinghan, a stranger to him, would show up that abruptly after he woke up from the treatment. And to his surprise, Song Qinghan seemed to be quite powerful that he even dared to speak so arrogantly in front of Muye.

Muye had no intention of explaining to him and simply said, “Just answer him.”

Noticing that Muye had permitted so, the man no longer hesitated, after all, he was also very concerned about his body’s current situation. At the same time, it would be impossible for him to expect Muye to say so, yet as for Song Qinghan who looked more genial, he could have a hope.

“I, I feel my waist in great pain like it is tearing apart, my mouth is bitter while my stomach doesn’t want me to feel good and my limbs get numb… That’s all for the time being.”

“Alright,” replied Song Qinghan after hearing so while nodding, “Get yourself a good rest, and there is no special abnormality. Get me informed as soon as you get any other discomfort.”

The man responded with a positive answer, while his eyes were full of bewilderment as he stared at the roof of the cave as if he lost his faith to wonder why he lived in this world of vastness.

Muye took a few glances at Song Qinghan sneakily with his eyes lit up with deep shrewdness when Song Qinghan was talking with the man on bed, and a trace of excitement was showing up on his face. Yet it was an excitement which evaporated very soon so that Song Qinghan did not observe the light change till the end. So after Song Qinghan finally finished informing the notice to the man on bed, he discovered that Muye had already turned into a research maniac again.

Song Qinghan had already been accustomed to this Muye guy’s changeable characteristics, and he could completely ignore that sudden shift. So instead of being shocked, he asked in a calm and plain tone, “What are you planning to do next?”

Muye seemed to be awakened in general, directly over to pick up the plate, and reached out to grab Song Qinghan’s wrist, while chattering like he was about to be out of mind at any time, “Of course we need to go on handling with the others, the sooner the better so that I can use them all earlier, I can feel that my physical situation is getting worse and worse recently and it really suffers me a lot.”

He said so as at the end the grim expression on his face grew deeper, seemingly he hated so much the feeling of powerlessness.

Song Qinghan felt the cold and hard grip feeling coming from his wrist, with his brow subconsciously frowned, and he answered calmly as his voice sounded cold enough, “It won’t be that easy to operate in the ensuing course, aren’t you aware of that as well? If you refuse to make a further research before the surgery, you will definitely fail again just like the last time you did.”

Muye paused suddenly and then he turned his head with his pair of gloomily dark eyes staring at Song Qinghan, and emphasized every single word he was saying, “It is a different situation now since I have you here, and it will prove that you are a futile doctor if you fail to make it a success.”

They were in fact staying underground while the environment was completely sealed, yet it was quite queer that Song Qinghan could still a gush of cold wind blowing on his back. He didn’t even have to bother himself to check it out and he knew he got a bunch of goose bumps on his body.

Muye seemed not to see his abnormal reaction, turned his head and continued to walk forward.

In the room they finally arrived at, there was a same layout with the last room where they finished the first surgery. And there was also lying another man on the bed, yet it was a man who was obviously different from the last one they operated because this guy seemed to have been in a stupor while looking rather healthy.

Song Qinghan knew it was in fact normal to see this scene. If he wasn’t guessing it wrong, the last man who had just received the surgery in the other room got the same tranquil expression as this one before that operation.

So the surgeries on them were… definitely redundant!
