Chapter 302: The Built Residence

Wu Ke sneered, yet he did not bother to block Wu Dahu’s way because he knew that even if he was able to block the way for the time being, it was impossible for him to jump out at any time unless Wu Dahu was suddenly dismissed from his post, OR something serious happened on him when engaging in a war.

Wu Dahu did have his right to come over to visit Muhammad to complain as he also had the right to vent his anger here. There was no position gap between them at all, and though the periods of their staying beside Muhammad were different, both of them would eventually became right and left hand for Muhammad.

And even though it was difficult for Wu Ke to admit it, he had to compromise because he knew Muhammad the best.

After Wu Ke left the place, Wu Dahu entered Muhammad’s tent under the lead of the guards outside. He did not, beyond what Wu Ke expected, roar wrathfully or cry mournfully in protesting against the verdict. Instead, he spoke peacefully and respectfully, “Thank you so much, Your Majesty, for being so lenient. I will definitely be more serious governing the team and restraining their behaviors so as to make sure that they won’t do anything stupid again.”

Muhammad looked at Wu Dahu with his pair of sharp and eagle-like eyes, tapping on the table while responding, “The verdict isn’t finished yet. Do you know what irritated me the most?”

Wu Dahu paused at that moment, and then he answered subconsciously, “Is it because of… faction forming?”

Well, he wasn’t a fool at all, and he had already smelt a sense of crisis previously after Xiaosi’s claiming of faction stuff. He should have attached importance to this so that he was able to cut the evil intention off at its early stage.

The king of the entire empire, however, Muhammad had a greater sensitivity on every single strangeness among the folks. He would definitely choose to clamp down any resistance power, or otherwise it would post a threat to the well-being and solid governance over the whole region.

Upon hearing Wu Dahu’s answer, Muhammad uttered in a tone of stating a fact, “I understand the Qingmu faction because we were once your enemies after all, especially when the other part of the recruited members are originally from the barbarian sides and I know their looks are quite imposing on your men since they have a stereotype on them.”

“But!” Just as Wu Dahu was about to nod to agree, Muhammad added abruptly.

“What surprises me the most is that there was a faction as well in my original Empire Mu people. I always believe that I am the unique superior power within the empire, and I am supported and respected by all the folks while everyone in this region should take me into the very first consideration. But it was just beyond my expectation that…”

Even though Wu Dahu had no idea what Wu Ke’s group had done that incurred the deepest wrath of Muhammad, he knew that a king had showed his greatest credence on him already since he would love to share such an affair with his subordinate.

By thinking of this, he pondered for a brief moment and then answered sincerely, “Your Majesty, you showed your greatest kindness because you needed support from your subordinates previously when in the wartime but suppressed the awfulness. So as it comes to the peace, the disadvantage of that emerged.”

Since Muhammad would love to trust him to the most, he should show him the same.

The truth was always spoken in a unpleasing way, but it was the most helpful medicine at any moment.

Muhammad squinted his eyes and stared at Wu Dahu for a while, and then he suddenly loosened his hands as if he just awoke from a dream, “No matter what tactics you are going to adopt, I don’t even care. But I need you to tame your men to submit themselves to me within half a month. If I find the similar events again and someone is found guilty…”

He tapped on the table as if to attract the attention of Wu Dahu, and then added in a deep voice, “Well, it is you reminding me of being a stern sovereign, you should not blame me for being merciless.”

Upon hearing that, Wu Dahu responded with a salute, and then decided not to stay longer here as Muhammad had no more to inform. He then led Song Qinghan and the rest of the family leave the tent for the residence they had built yesterday.

As they arrived, Xiaosi and his brothers happened to leave. Even though Wu Dahu got no chance to talk with them at all, he knew that these guys had come here after their receiving the punishment from Muhammad as soon as he found the fastened marks on the original constructions.

In fact, it wasn’t an easy task for Wu Dahu to accomplish. It wasn’t that he lusted for the sole trust and homage, but when it came to transplantation this trust from him to the other, it was totally a complicated stuff to make that real.

But he had to accomplish it anyway no matter how complicated it would be, or otherwise probably he would fail to protect his family by his own strength here.

Well, one thing should be made clear here. That Muhammad was not a good-virtue person at all was in fact the truth, and the reason why he was showing his amiability was because he had completely indulged in the empire he built and lost in the ambience of success for the time being. Everything, for sure, would finally be back on track once he woke up.

After they washed everywhere in and out of the residence, they moved all their packages from the tent to their new home. They were the first batch who relocated anyway.

Song Qinghan was gazing at the other residence which was being built in the distance, he knew that Xiaosi and his brothers must be sweating and working hard there right now, and he couldn’t help but murmur to himself, “Never expect that I got a chance to witness an eruption of a building with my naked eyes…”

Even though everything here was empty without any trace or embryonic form of a populous city, this area, undoubtedly, would be the temporary capital of the Empire Mu. Even if the capital would change in the future, at that time this area would have been developed.

After they finished moving their stuff, Song Qinghan sank into a boredom as he found there was nothing to do. Therefore, in that case he advised to visit the city nearby.

Well, instead of stating it as a ‘visit’, they wanted to have a bulk purchase for their home embellishment. After all, this was already their root in this empire, they shouldn’t have it to be too impoverished-looking.

The closest city, however, was remote as well, and it was roughly 20 miles from their location. If it wasn’t that they all owned their horses for personal use, they would never have any idea to walk through such a long distance and get their purchase back in this journey.

Song Qinghan’s belly was even bigger now. Although everything looked fine with him and his pulse was steady, it was still risky for him to ride the horse. He could do that unless he did not care about the unborn baby’s life nor his own.

Therefore, they reached out to rent a carriage. While kids and femina men were arranged to sit inside the carriage, Wu Dahu and Lusen rode their own personal horses. They followed the carriage in behind in coordination with the pace of the carriage, marching towards the Xingyue City slowly.

Little Shitou had grown to be more sensible recently, he did not bother Song Qinghan that much now as if he was aware of the fact that his femina father was carrying another baby inside. Instead, Yuan Wenxuan seemed to be his new playmate and was so clingy that he wanted Yuan Wenxuan’s accompany when sleeping.

If it wasn’t that Yuan Wenxuan himself loved kids, probably Song Qinghan would have taught Little Shitou a lesson right now and trained this baby to be strong and independent.

No one even knew whether it was because of his pregnancy or not which had made him eager to train Little Shitou to learn martial arts, and he even invited some well-trained soldiers to teach Little Shitou on that.

The reason why he did not ask Wu Dahu to teach his own son was that he thought it was a better choice to distinguish the character of teacher from the one of father. Or otherwise it would be an embarrassing occasion to see this father and son were separating emotionally because of the training.
