Chapter 244: Bloody Scene

Song Qinghan shook his head decisively, “Huh? What should I be afraid of? Since penalties are all man-devised stuff, I will never believe that you guys are able to do something beyond humanity.”

As they spoke, the three finally arrived in front of the captive camp.

The servant seemed to have somewhat privileges himself as he came up to whisper to the guards who guarded outside the captive camp. And after that, he nodded to Song Qinghan directly, “Go in now, and come out whenever you don’t feel good seeing the mess.”

Song Qinghan glanced at Little Shitou who was staring back at him closely, smiled and stroked the baby’s head, and without talking much further, he simply turned around and walked into the captive camp.

Smell of blood and rotten flesh pervaded in the air as soon as Song Qinghan stepped in, while the unbearable pungent smell almost choked him for an instant.

Luckily, he was already mentally prepared for the stench, so he directly stretched out his sleeve and covered his mouth and nose, slowly adjusting his breathing rate and trying to lower his heartbeat rate to calm down.

Nothing much he could indeed feel when he was outside the camp. But once he came inside, the mournful and scary moans within the camp seemed never tend to fade away, with the miserable, sorrowful sound was like a Qiang flute, making him tremble in the mind and almost driving him to tears.

When the barbarians who were executing the captives noticed the appearance of Song Qinghan, the one seemed to be a newcomer here, their eyes brightened with light of excitement. All of them turned to stare at Song Qinghan like a pack of wolf staring at a helpless sheep greedily, as if they were about to enjoy such a beauty first and then eat him fiercely.

Probably it should be Song Qinghan’s luck that the guard outside the camp made a warn in the eye contact with those savages inside, which finally suppressed their evil intentions in mind. But still, it could be seen that those savages’ eyes were burning with lust and desire, and it was completely an unease for Song Qinghan as if he was targeted by a troop of extremely poisonous snakes.

Song Qinghan frowned seriously and carefully came to identify the faces of the captives captured from the Qingmu side, trying his best to find if there was any trace of Wu Dahu.

However, apparently, it could be judged by his dimmer and dimmer eyes that the result was not as expected.

And in fact, he could recognize several familiar faces within the group of the captured men. Some were the ones he met when he was on his duty cleaning the chamber pot, while some were the ones he had helped treat in the army medical area.

The pitiful men seemed to recognize him as well, while all their gazes were fixed on Song Qinghan in a flash with some invisible lights of hope, as if they just found the existence of a venerable savior. They struggled to stretched forth their arms, trying to climb on the ground to get closer to Song Qinghan.

Those barbarians seemed to have found the fun part of the penalty, they did not even come to stop the men climbing towards Song Qinghan. Instead of doing so, they stood there with evil smile and their arms folded, as if to make a fun of it and see how Song Qinghan would react to rescue them.

After all, the guard outside only requested them not to hurt Song Qinghan by themselves, they weren’t requested to protect him either.

The guard outside the camp discovered the movement inside, he put his hand slowly on the sword at his waist side, and was ready to take action if thing went beyond expectation.

Feeling a tightness between his legs, Song Qing Han looked down at the bloody man holding his calf and said softly, “What’s wrong?”

The man seemed to be someone he had once saved, and he looked up while pleading with a thirsty look in his eyes, “Doctor Song, Doctor Song, why have you come over here too? You are coming here to save us, aren’t you? Just like before, no one cares about us but you, right?”

Song Qinghan gently raised his eyelids and quickly identified his injuries. He pursed his lips and simply answered, “I’m afraid that I probably can’t give you a hand this time, I am SORRY.”

Such words were like nothing but a verdict, and then the man let go of his hands with a shocked expression on face, collapsed to the ground with tears rolling down and dripping fiercely, “Yeah, I know that. I know that you won’t come here to rescue us by yourself alone. Well, nothing I should complain about now as you are about to be tortured like me later, what am I expecting you to do? Hahaha, these motherf*cker savages should all GO TO HELL and VANISH!”

Just at the moment he finished his grumbling words, his expression suddenly darkened down with his eyes fixed with decisiveness, and then pounced on the barbarian who was standing right next to him, bit him on the neck without mercy. His eyes were bulging wide, looking scary as if to show that he would rather die than loosen his teeth.

Song Qinghan got himself tense suddenly when he saw the scene, while his palms being clenched into fists. He gritted his teeth as if to follow the pitiful man’s lead to bite the barbarian. Yet he was currently with uneasy and complicated mind, not knowing whether he was hoping the man to bite the barbarian to death or not.

The barbarian’s strength couldn’t be underestimated after all. After feeling the weight on his neck, the barbarian swung his fists viciously towards the man’s stomach, with a muffled sound that seemed to hit the heart of the onlooker, causing Song Qinghan’s scalp to tingle.

Although he had no superpower that allowed him to see through the organs, he still was able to make a clear judge by the strength that the pitiful man’s organs which were beaten should have been smash. If things went as expected, blood probably would come out from his mouth and nose later.

He would definitely bleed to death if no one take any treatment on him…

But even so, the man still refused to let go of his mouth, the expression on his face became even more fierce, and his hands were tightly wrapped around the barbarian’s waist, looking as if he wanted to drag him to hell and perish with him together.

Looking at this scene, Song Qinghan felt like he was about to retch. He hurriedly reached out to cover his mouth and nose.

He glanced around with the camp and found that everybody was showing a face of shock there but refusing to take any action. His heart sank and he suddenly rushed out to the guard outside and pulled the sword from the guard’s waist next to him and then came back to the scene and cut the man who had bitten the barbarian directly on the waist.

In pain, the man finally let go of his mouth and fell backwards, fainting away.

Not knowing whether the man was dead or still alive, the barbarian who was bitten couldn’t even find a way to vent his wrath. Instead of making a further mess, he kicked the fainted man fiercely.

Song Qinghan put down the sword in his hand, with his eyelids fluttering as he saw the man’s slight chest heave, and he secretly prayed in his mind hoping that the man would be able to get through it, well, even though he knew that the possibility of it was faint.

“Who in the world do you think you are to meddle? And you dare to use that sword without permission? Huh? Are you going to be responsible for that if he die?”

To his surprise, the barbarian who was bitten by the man roared trying to frame Song Qinghan with a crime. He took a few steps forward menacingly, looked down to stare at Song Qinghan with his eyes glittering with greed lusting for blood.

The guard outside frowned and whispered something, but the barbarian inside fiercely pulled the sword at his waist out and placed it on Song Qinghan’s neck, squinting at the doorway and saying, “Don’t move, I’ll kill him if you dare to move, I don’t care if he’s an honored guest or piece of shit, as long as he’s from Qingmu Region, he deserves to die anyway!”

As he spoke, he seemed to have touched the wound on his neck, so much so that he could not help but frown, adding another touch of fury to his unpleasant-looking features.

Song Qinghan felt the chill on his neck, not doubting for a moment the possibility of such a savage making any unwitting actions.

Well, this was not a place for a man to make everything a sense by a reason. Only fists and violence could be used as a means to test his power.

His hands moved slightly, while his pair of lips crooked with confidence, and then he uttered slightly, “Alright, so do you want him to die or you don’t? I can make it possible for both ways, do you believe that?”

The barbarian took a glance at the man who had already fainted away on the ground like a puddle of mud, and then he snorted and sneered, “Are you playing with me? How can he be saved since he was beaten by me like that? But by the way, you are the one who caused his death by that unexpected attack which was kind of fatal one to him. Well, you Qingmu people are doing a good job anyway for killing your own compatriots.”
