241. I Want to Bear You Some Kids

Translator: Dragon Rider

The Zhu family had been an influential entity in Shen City for many years, and they also owned some businesses there. Their roots ran deep, and if anything happened to the Zhu family, it would be a heavy blow to the economy of Shen City. Therefore, Li Zong had specially designated a professional banker to handle the financial aspect of the issue in an effort to minimize the negative impact that the upheaval would have on the Zhu family.

The Zhu family was huge, and they had to cover all the bases, which was why they failed to get the job done as quick as they had planned. Li Zong and He Zheng had to stay in the Zhu family for two or three days.

During the day, Li Zong was always discussing various things with He Zheng’s two uncles, while at night the whole family dined together. Neither He Zheng nor Li Zong had had much leisure to have meals together previously. He Zheng had been in the He family for many years, but he had seldom eaten with his family members, so he was rather unaccustomed to this kind of reunion dinner.

However, goodwill never strikes people as unpleasant. The scene of the whole family eating together made He Zheng feel a little awkward but fully relaxed.

For thousands of years, people of the Republic of Hua always valued family reunion more than they did anything else, be it the family reunion dinner on New Year’s Eve or common meals at ordinary times. For people of the Republic of Hua, exchanging opinions and expressing affection at the dining table had always been an indispensable means of communication.

At first, He Zheng was worried about many things: the Zhu family, the demonic seed, his mother’s death and so on, all of which had been weighing on him all the time, but after he arrived in Shen City, he felt that he had finally found a place where he could dismiss them all. Here, he was in the company of his amiable grandfather, his mature and poised uncle, his loving elder brother, and his considerate future sister-in-law. In addition, the days when he was up to his neck in all kinds of official business and had to work overtime were finally gone, and now he could spend some time alone with his lover.

At night, wind was howling on the Four Sides Hill. Zhu Qi, who was responsible for keeping He Zheng company during his stay in this residence, specifically prepared two big rattan chairs and some fruit snacks in the yard and and invited He Zheng over to enjoy the cool with him.

The two cousins lay in their rattan chairs with their fingers interlocked behind their heads. He Zheng was wearing a pair of golden flip-flops which were now rocking from side to side as his feet dangled.

Zhu Qi saw it and was surprised, “Why are you wearing my girlfriend’s flip-flops?”

“I don’t know. I put them on after the shower without thinking about whom they might belong to,” said He Zheng, surprised. Then he took off his flip-flops and were astonished to see that they were size 40 (25 centimeters long). “My future sister-in-law’s feet are so…Ahem.”

The two of them burst into laughter.

Zhu Qi was laughing particularly loud. “They’re fine. Don’t say this in front of her.”

He Zheng, after laughing for a while, noticed that a small patch of shadow was approaching. He suddenly stopped laughing and asked in a mock confused tone, “Where did you get these flip-flops for me, Brother Qi? They look so feminine. They’re not men’s sandals, are they?”

Zhu Qi was baffled by the question. “What’s wrong with your memory, Zheng? Didn’t I just tell you they’re your future sister-in-law’s? How could you forget about it so soon?”

“Does my future sister-in-law really have so big feet?”

“There must be something wrong with your head. Of course she does. You’ve seen the numbers yourself.”

“Ahem, hem!” A female voice came from the side.

He Zheng hurriedly put his bare feet on the ground and called out in a quite meek tone, “Sister-in-law!”

His voice sent a chill down Zhu Qi’s spine.

The girl put a small tray of snack down on the table and smiled at He Zheng gently, “I was worried that you guys were running out of snack, so I brought some more.

“Sister-in-law, you’re so sweet!” He Zheng looked very much like a decent man when he wasn’t making trouble.

“Mm, Zhu Qi, I’d like you to come with me and give me a hand with something.”

Male natives of Shen City were hen-pecked, and people in nearby cities nicknamed them “Rake Ears”. Zhu Qi, who had been born and grown up in Shen City, naturally was no exception. He buckled at the knees at these words. “Mengmeng, would you mind wait a few moments? I want to chat with my cousin for a little while longer.”

Mengmeng, still smiling, blinked and replied, “Okay. I’ll go back to the room and wait for you.”

Before leaving, she cast  Zhu Qi a glance which was so “affectionate” that Zhu Qi felt as though his insides had turned to ice. If he didn’t go to placate her right away, there would really be serious consequences. He quickly stood up, giving He Zheng a dirty look. “You villain. I’ll come back and get even with you!”

He Zheng grinned gloatingly, revealing his two rows of snow-white teeth, “Goodbye, Brother Qi!”

Zhu Qi left in a great hurry.

He Zheng, who was obviously very happy, sat back down on the chair. There was rubble on the ground, which was hurting his feet a little.

“You naughty little devil, what trouble did you get your cousin into?” said Li Zong in a faintly resigned but mostly doting voice.

“Eek? You guys finished talking so soon?” He Zheng patted the rattan chair next to him. “I happen to have just got you a seat.”

Li Zong had no choice but to sit down beside him.

The night scene on the Four Sides Hill was exceptionally beautiful. It was a something that they had never seen before in Coastal City – of course, perhaps it was because they had never tried enjoying the nightscape in such relaxed mood when in Coastal City.

In this place, they could see the moon shining bright in the night sky studded with stars. Under the luminous moon, night breeze was gently stroking their faces, calming them down without them noticing.

Even his voice was softer than usual. “Li Zong, it’s so comfortable here.”

“What strikes you as comfortable?”

“Everything – the people, the food, the scenery, and you.”

The look in Li Zong’s eyes flickered at these words.

Right now He Zheng’s face was neither arrogant nor fierce. By the bright moonlight, his facial features looked extremely gentle. He didn’t look like He Changchun at all. Instead, he bore a striking resemblance to Zhu Ning who had been gentle and elegant. If He Zheng had not grown up in such a family, the way they had made each other’s acquaintance might have been different.

“Do you still remember how impatient you were when we were on that plane?” Li Zong stroked He Zheng’s hair. He Zheng was sprawling in his chair, while Li Zong was sitting. His hand was on He Zheng’s forehead which He Zheng was now rubbing against Li Zong’s palm.

“I forgot about that a long time ago.”

Although he answered this way, his mind was traveling back to that day in spite of himself.

At that time, He Zheng had been a domineering brat believing that nobody was good enough to be in his company. When accosted by Zu Zhichong, he had not tried to hide his impatience at all. Li Zong’s appearance had attracted his attention for a moment but he had soon looked away.

In the end, after Li Zong saved him, He Zheng hadn’t felt the slightest sense of gratitude. Instead, he had been filled with all kinds of negative emotions: disdain, anger, and irritation etc.

But now, a lot of things had changed quietly. He still looked like a playboy from a rich family, but the soul inside the shell had been replaced by a complete different one. He Zheng was still bad-tempered and willful, but he had now learned what respect and gratitude meant, and his heart was filled with love.

And he had the man beside him to thank for all this.

He Zheng gently kissed Li Zong’s hand. The night breeze blew by the bangs over his forehead, which fluttered shattering his view of the beautiful moon and Li Zong’s handsome face.

He Zheng boldly rolled from his rattan chair to Li Zong’s, moved Li Zong’s bangs aside and planted a kiss on his lips. “Let’s go inside.”

This kind of implication was actually quite explicit. Li Zong, an old cadre, did not want this guy to get what he wanted too easily. He casually removed the rubble on He Zheng’s feet. He Zheng, who had no shoes to wear, had no choice but to hang himself on Li Zong.

“We’re going inside, but we’re not doing anything in there.”

“We’re not doing anything in there? Are you sure?” He Zheng’s lips had slid to Li Zong’s earlobe. He licked it and then chuckled.

“You’ve been too indulgent to yourself lately, and indulging in carnal pleasure is bad for health. Sleep early tonight and get up early tomorrow morning to go running with me.”

“Huh?”

“People need to do a certain amount of exercise on a daily basis to stay healthy.” Li Zong was saying this out of his care for He Zheng, but He Zheng didn’t want to hear a single word of such remarks.

When Li Zong put him down on the bed, he gripped Li Zong’s collar like a spoiled child, refusing to let Li Zong go. The lights in the room were not on, but the windows were open, through which moonlight was pouring. He Zheng pinned Li Zong (who always acted like an old cadre and was keen on preserving his health) down on the bed.

His eyes were bright even in the darkness, more sparkling than the stars in the sky.

He Zheng, who was quite audacious when in bed, decisively took off his own pants instead of Li Zong’s, and then made some provocative body movements to seduce Li Zong.

“I think it’s about time we tried another position. What do you think?”

Li Zong: “…”

On this night, the old cadre’s plan to sleep early failed just as it had the night before.

He Zheng, who was disobedient, wanted to have sex and he got what he wanted, but it didn’t mean that he could avoid having meals. Early the next morning, He Zheng was pulled out of bed. He couldn’t even open his eyes, “I don’t want to go running. I want to sleep.”

“I’m not asking.” Li Zong didn’t indulge him. He dressed He Zheng, carried him to the bathroom, washed his face and brushed his teeth.

If He Zheng still hadn’t opened his eyes, Li Zong would probably have helped He Zheng pee as well.

Because Li Zong’s attitude was more resolute than He Zheng, He Zheng was forced out of the room to go running with Li Zong.

He Zheng wanted to have sex at night, and Li Zong wanted him to go jogging in the morning. In order to catch up on his sleep, he chose to return to bed after the morning jog. Eventually, every day, after his morning jog, He Zheng spent the rest of the day sleeping, and at night he woke up and had sex without fail. Li Zong’s constitution was amazingly strong and seemed to be unaffected. He Zheng, however, seemed to be paying a heavy price for the frequent sex he had been having.

Because of He Zheng’s uncharacteristic behavior, Zhu Qi had a sneaking suspicion that He Zheng was ill.

On this day, when He Zheng got up from the bed in a yawn, it was already five o’clock in the afternoon.

He heard Zhu Qi mysteriously discussing something with Zhu Yin, his little female cousin.

He Zheng liked eavesdropping on people the most, so he moved closer to them by stealth.

Zhu Yin breathed, “Big Brother, I feel Brother Zheng has been a little weird lately.”

Zhu Qi “What do you mean?”

Zhu Yin said, “Do you think it’s possible that Brother Zheng is pregnant? My mother is now pregnant with her second child. Brother Zheng has been behaving the same way my mother does – staying indoors sleeping all day long.”

He Zheng, “…”

‘Pregnant? Is she soft in the head?! How could a man get pregnant?!’thought He Zheng.

Zhu Qi said, “Zhu Yin, you’re 17 now, and you should have been taught some physiological knowledge. No man can get pregnant, okay?”

Zhu Yin replied, “But this kind of things happen a lot in fiction…Have you ever heard of ABO?”

Veins throbbed horribly in He Zheng’s temples. “Zhu Yin, you’re toast! I’m going to tell your father you’ve been reading unhealthy fiction all the time!!!”

Zhu Yin and Zhu Qi stopped at the same time.

He Zheng stormed off.

He was a tough gay man but now someone suspected he was pregnant!

He Zheng had just returned to his room when his phone rang. He took it from his pocket and looked at it. The message on the screen read Zhu Yin sent you an off-line file: [ABO] I Want to Bear You Some Kids.txt.

He Zheng, “…”

Blue veins pulsed on He Zheng’s forehead. He wondered if his uncle would beat him if he struck Qi Yin to death.

Bear kids? What the heck? Did the hero of this novel really bear children for someone? After thinking about this with his finger poised on the DELETE button for a moment, he eventually chose to open the file.

On that very night, He Zheng finally restrained himself from having sex, for he was deeply touched by the novel I Want to Bear You Some Kids.
