A day at Hogwarts

Chapter 202 Something strange

A new day, a new beginning. After getting up, the students went to the cafeteria to have breakfast.

Harry looked a little dazed this morning, thinking about something, and subconsciously said hello when people called him.

Malfoy and his two followers met Harry in the main entrance hall. Thinking of having a quarrel, he sneered and said hello: "Isn't this our savior Mr. Potter?"

Harry was still thinking about things. When he heard someone calling him, he didn't look at who it was. He just politely replied "Good morning" and turned towards the cafeteria, leaving Malfoy stunned on the spot.

Charles walked not far behind and smiled when he saw this scene.

But he didn't expect that when he smiled, he met Malfoy's eyes, and Malfoy returned a friendly smile.

Charles couldn't do it now. Could it be that Malfoy's head was caught by the door panel, or something strange awakened?

There was no time to think about this matter. When he walked into the cafeteria, someone waved to him enthusiastically.

Hermione completed her treatment in the school doctor's office and went directly to the cafeteria after being discharged from the hospital this morning.

Hermione thought about the time when Charles came to visit her in the ward. Although it was not pleasant at the time, she thought about it afterwards, was he interested in her?

A girl of thirteen or fourteen was the age when she first fell in love, and Charles was a good-looking boy. Hermione thought he might be interested in her, as she had never seen him behave that way towards other girls before.

He doesn't mind having such ugly ears and tail... those things... maybe he doesn't want to make himself too nervous...

In other words...if he really means this...it's not impossible for me to accept it...

Under this central idea, Hermione found excuses for everything Charles had done before. Her favorability towards Charles reached the limit of one stage, and she almost broke through to a new level.

Girls at this time are very sensitive and can feel the subtle changes in the other person's expression and attitude, and then analyze them in depth.

Hermione saw that Charles was startled at first, then his eyes showed deep disappointment, and finally he sighed with regret.

For the first time, the girl felt what it felt like to have a basin of ice water poured over her head, but she did not give up. When Charles came to the long table, she happily said to him: "Charles, I am cured and discharged from the hospital!"

Charles looked at her head without ears, normal hands, and empty behind her, nodded weakly, and whispered: "Yeah, what a pity."

Hermione's face suddenly turned colder than Snape's, and she asked emotionlessly: "What do you mean?"

Charles replied expressionlessly: "Nothing, just not as beautiful as then."

As if being thrown into liquid helium, Hermione was instantly chilled from the epidermis to the bone marrow, and a negative sign appeared in front of her favorability towards Charles.

Hermione was so angry this morning that Harry didn't even dare to talk to her. Only Ron tentatively handed her a chicken drumstick.

At the end of breakfast preparations and when the owls were delivering messages to everyone, an ostrich more than two meters tall suddenly ran into the dining hall, and headed straight to the Gryffindor table amidst everyone's exclamations, and finally stopped in front of Charles.

Charles' head was filled with questions. He couldn't figure out why the ostrich came to him and stared at it with big eyes.

There is a leather bag hanging on the chest of the ostrich, which looks like a messenger.

Seeing that Charles didn't respond, the ostrich bent its neck and gently pecked his Tianling Cap. It was so cold in this place that it didn't want to stay for a moment longer.

Charles reached into his purse, touched it, and took out a letter.

Ostrich saw that the letter had been delivered, turned around and ran out of the afterimage, disappearing at the door of the cafeteria.

The letter was sent by Lupin. The mandrakes in Wagadu were ripe and could be brought back to Hogwarts in three days.

Charles didn't bother to think about how the ostrich came from Africa, and immediately went to report the matter to Dumbledore.

Everything seemed to be going in the right direction. Percy and Seamus would be recovering soon. Charles was thinking of something delicious to make to calm Seamus' fears.

"What are you thinking about, girl? You are already this age too."

Harry came to Charles' dormitory again at night.

Half a minute later, Charles said to Harry: "I was wondering what kind of game pie I could make this season, so that Seamus could have a good meal when he wakes up."

Harry, who was hanging upside down from the ceiling, asked curiously: "What kind of spell is this?"

He just discovered that when Charles used this spell, his hand only shook upward slightly, and he floated headfirst without reciting the spell.

This spell was quite interesting and he decided to learn it.

Charles replied: "This is an upside-down golden clock. It's not difficult or easy."

Harry immediately shouted: "Teach me, hehe, maybe I can use it to sneak attack Snape!"

Charles agreed immediately, and it would be great if Harry really gave Snape such a pleasure.

As soon as he put Harry down, the dormitory door opened. Neville pushed the door open with one hand and read it carefully with the newspaper in the other.

Neville raised his head after entering the door. The first thing he noticed was that there were only two beds here, and his own bed was gone. The second thing he saw was Charles sitting on the bed smiling at him, and the third thing he saw was Harry landing on his head and feet.

His face suddenly turned as red as Weasley's hair. He was so absorbed in reading the newspaper that he didn't notice that he passed through an extra door. He scratched the back of his head in embarrassment and said, "Ah, I went to the wrong place!"

Charles asked him with a smile: "What are you so fascinated by? Is it related to girls as Harry said?"

Neville immediately looked at Harry, who was getting up, with a look on his face, "You actually planned to spoil the family?"

Charles took out popcorn and sat aside. Unfortunately, the two guys didn't fight, but instead joined forces to grab the popcorn.

Neville said while eating popcorn: "A distant cousin of mine was attacked by a dark wizard last year and only came out of St. Mungo's Hospital two days before Christmas."

"There was news about this matter in the newspapers today. The Aurors didn't have any clues, and my father couldn't find any useful information when he inquired. It seemed like he was attacked by the air."

Harry asked: "What does your cousin do? Has he offended anyone?"

Neville replied: "He makes two-way mirrors and has a shop in Diagon Alley. Not only was he seriously injured and almost died that day, but the entire shop was destroyed. My father said there was no one left there. Something as big as your finger.”

"He is usually very friendly. He has never made enemies with anyone or even quarreled with anyone. I don't know why someone would want to kill him."

"Fortunately, everyone is fine. The store opened again after Christmas. Fred and George's big order was not completed until this year."

At first, Charles thought it was a criminal case between wizards, but when he heard it, he frowned and felt that this matter was weird.
