Chapter 11

After leaving the gate of the Hou Mansion, Ji Wanyi couldn't wait to test Ji Zhaozhang's tone, "Brother, can I really stop copying books?"

"No." Ji Zhaozhang coldly refused.

Ji Wanyi couldn't understand, so she leaned closer and asked, "Why, Lord Hou has already interceded for me, so I don't want to copy books."

Ji Zhaozhang didn't change his face, "Master Hou is interceding for your right hand, and your left hand is not hurt, so you can use your left hand to copy."

"Ah..." Ji Wanyi wailed, "Brother, you are so cruel."

"Really?" Ji Zhaozhang looked straight ahead, "Since my brother is cruel, why don't you just ground you for a month, so as not to cause trouble for me all day long."

"Don't, don't." Ji Wanyi smiled dog-leggedly, "Brother has worked so hard, I'll just copy it."

Xie Jingliang's hearing is superb, and he has been paying attention to the movement at the door since the inner courtyard. Hearing the conversation between the two, he couldn't help but laugh. The Ji family brothers are quite interesting.

Zhang Jin took a step forward and reported to Xie Jingliang the information about the Ji family that he had just found, "Master Hou, according to what we have found so far, this Ji Wan turned out to be an abandoned baby who was adopted by the Ji family because no one claimed it. When I was four years old, I joined the army with Ji's father, when the war was settled at the age of five, I stayed at the home of my acquaintances in the capital to study, and I didn't return to Ji's family until I was 16 years old."

Xie Jingliang listened nonchalantly, but he never thought that his life experience was quite bumpy with such a casual temperament.

While thinking about it, Zhang Jin said with a smile, "I went to the army when I was four years old. It's a pity that I follow such a delicate young man."

Xie Jingliang smiled slightly, noncommittal.

On the carriage, when Ji Wanyi was secretly slandering Ji Zhaozhang, Ji Zhaozhang suddenly knocked on her head, "Put out your hand."

Ji Wanyi was in pain, and reluctantly stretched out her left hand, "Is brother going to hit me?"

"Right hand." Ji Zhaozhang frowned, "Look at your wound."

"Oh." Ji Wanyi stuck out her tongue, she didn't intend to beat her hands, so she stretched out her right hand.

Ji Zhaozhang carefully unwrapped the gauze, saw that the wound was more than an inch deep, his complexion turned dark, and he took out the golden sore medicine with a cold face, and applied it to her.

"Brother, no need, the ointment from the Hou's Mansion must be the best." Ji Wanyi felt a little unnatural when he held his hand, and wanted to avoid it.

Ji Zhaozhang didn't allow her to resist, and carefully applied the medicine before letting her go.

Along the way, no matter how Ji Wanyi flattered her, Ji Zhaozhang kept a cold face and ignored her.

Ji Wanyi felt that she was bored, so she went to tease Xi Wen Shimo, which made the two girls giggle and chat happily all the way.

Back at Ji's mansion, Ji's parents were already waiting at the door, seeing her getting off the car, they immediately surrounded her with concern.

The whole family entered the hall, and as soon as Ji's father stepped back, Ji Wanyi complained to Ji's father, "Daddy, I'm still wounded, and my brother still wants me to copy books."

"Where's the injury?" Ji's father looked at her with concern, seeing that she was completely intact, he breathed a sigh of relief, "Your mother and I were quite frightened when we heard about this."

"It's nothing, parents don't need to worry." Ji Wanyi inadvertently hid her right hand behind her back, and smiled, "I'm still alive and kicking, I've got a little flesh injury."

Ji Zhaozhang snorted coldly and stood with his hands behind his back.

Ji Wanyi smiled awkwardly.

Ji's mother scolded softly, "Zhang'er, you are really too, Wan'er was frightened and injured again, you have to let her rest well, don't ask her to copy books."

"Yeah, you have to take good care of it, you can't be sloppy." Ji's father echoed.

Ji Zhaozhang squinted at Ji Wanyi, "Second brother agreed, why, do you want to go back on your word?"

Ji Wanyi quickly lowered her head and murmured, "It's not because you threatened to ground me."

"It's not a gentleman to keep your promises. My second brother has been in Beijing for many years since he was a child, but he hasn't made any progress in his studies. He only wants to have fun, so he has to work hard."

After finishing speaking, Ji Zhaozhang gave Ji Wanyi a warning look, and left.
