Chapter 169 Bodhisattvas gather together to seek merit
In the western Lingshan Mountains, the sound of Buddha bursts out.

In the Yuantong Peak, several Bodhisattvas came today, and in the Yuantong Hall, they spit out lotus flowers and talked about Buddhism.

Namo Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, sitting on the golden lotus platform, smiled at the Bodhisattvas:
"Debating the Dharma and discussing the principles with you today really made me feel joyful and happy. The Dharma is profound. Although we have the status of Bodhisattva, the Dharma is boundless and has no end."

Hearing Namo Great Strength Bodhisattva's emotion, many Bodhisattvas nodded one after another.

But seeing Namo Guanshiyin Bodhisattva appearing as a woman, with a dignified and generous demeanor, he smiled and said:
"Mashizhizhi Bodhisattva is right. The teachings I teach can not only save oneself, but also save others. While making meritorious deeds, one's own mana will also increase. To benefit others is to benefit oneself. It is really the most wonderful method in the world."

Hearing Guanshiyin Bodhisattva's words, all the Bodhisattvas kept silent, as if they thought of something at the same time.

Puxian Bodhisattva smiled lightly, "Unfortunately, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is not here now, so it is a pity that I cannot listen to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's lectures."

On the other side, Manjusri Bodhisattva, who is often in pairs with Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, said along the way:

"Master Samantabhadra, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has a special status. The great wish he once made is bigger than the great wish of the Buddha. We may not be able to bear what he said."

When many Bodhisattvas heard this sentence, they felt a little uncomfortable. Although Manjushri Bodhisattva said it was not pleasant, it was indeed true.Moreover, the words of Manjusri Bodhisattva also reminded everyone of the past.

This past event in Lingshan is also a matter of tacit understanding.

At that time, when the Tathagata taught the Dharma, on the top of Lingshan Mountain, in the Daleiyin Temple, the Buddha sat high on the clouds, his Dharma appearance was solemn and auspicious.

There are dozens of Buddhas on the left and right sides, over a hundred Bodhisattvas under their seats, over a thousand Arhats, and countless other venerables.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg of Buddhist forces.

Seeing the golden lotus blooming, the Buddha opened his mouth and began to teach the Dharma.

Everyone listened attentively, and when they heard the essence, some laughed and some cried bitterly.

After the Buddha finished speaking, he paused and mentioned the great wish he had made before he became a Buddha:
"I am the only one in heaven and earth, and become the number one Buddha in the world, and then save all living beings, so that all living beings become Buddhas."

All the disciples were shocked and admired, or smiled, or pondered, feeling the Buddha's ambition and courage.

It is precisely because of this courage that he can cultivate a six-foot golden body and become a Buddha, right?

After the Buddha finished his great wish, he asked his disciples about their great wish.

Most of the disciples have already attained the Bodhisattva status, and becoming a Buddha is their next goal.

Some said that their ambition is to make the world no longer fight.

And some ambitions are to let living beings enjoy peace.

The grand wish of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is to save all suffering people in the world.

And when the Buddha asked about Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's great wish, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva smiled slightly and said flatly:
"Returning to my Buddha, my disciple's great wish is that as long as there is one person in the world who has not become a Buddha, I will not become a Buddha!"

As soon as this remark came out, the heavens shook, and various visions appeared. Many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were shocked and could not believe it.

The great wish of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva seems to be on a higher level than that of the Buddha.

The Buddha is the first rich to drive the later rich, and the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is the joy of the world later.

The Buddha sighed and said, "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has the posture of becoming a saint."

These words are extremely high praise to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Later, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva went to hell.

And his great wish, for some reason, was rumored by later Buddhas and Bodhisattvas as:

"The hell is not empty, and I swear not to become a Buddha."

And the Tathagata Buddha didn't pay attention to the spread of rumors, as if he didn't hear them.

In the Great Hall of Yuantong, everyone fell into contemplation. As the master of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, it is not easy to pretend to be deaf and dumb.

"Bodhisattvas, there is no need to mention the past. What I want to say is, have you ever known that an interesting incident happened in Nanzhan Buzhou?"

Guanshiyin Bodhisattva smiled slightly, "Why does Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva have to be tricky? What's the fun? Could it be the Dragon Clan's business again?"

The other Bodhisattvas smiled knowingly. Everyone knew that Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva was in charge of the affairs of the eight tribes, and the dragon clan was the most coveted force of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva.

"Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, you are laughing at me again. Then I won't play tricks anymore.

This Chang'an City is the largest city in Nanzhan Buzhou, and it is also the place where mortal incense gathers the most. In the past, my Buddhist incense and Taoist incense fought against each other, and no one could overwhelm the other in Chang'an City.

It's just that in the past few days, my Buddhist incense has greatly surpassed that of Daoist incense. Everyone, is this an interesting thing? "

Manjusri Bodhisattva said, "This can be regarded as a grand event in my Buddhist sect, but I don't know what happened?"

Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva explained the whole story to everyone.

The people in Chang'an City feared that they would go to the [-]th hell after death, so they worshiped Buddha to reduce their sins.

After hearing Mahastaprapta Bodhisattva's speech, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva sighed:
"Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is indeed not an existence that we can compare shoulder to shoulder. It must be a huge merit to be able to come up with such a wonderful method!"

Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Why does Puxian Bodhisattva assert that this act was done by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva?"

Puxian Bodhisattva shook his head and looked at the people in the hall, "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is now in the underworld, in charge of hell, and only he can accomplish this."

All the bodhisattvas nodded.

Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva then said, "You don't have to envy Ksitigarbha. In recent days, the Buddha has mentioned many times that the spread of Buddhism to the east and many layouts have already begun. Everyone, why don't you take this opportunity to make meritorious deeds? What about increasing mana?"

The eyes of the other Bodhisattvas lit up, "The Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta is right. If Dizang can do it, we can do it too."

Suddenly, in Yuantong Hall, a conspiracy started.

At the bottom of the Jing River, in a remote cave.

In the dark environment, a fish-monster-like figure is kowtowing to a Bodhisattva statue.

This Bodhisattva statue is carved out of wood, with a faint golden light emitting from it.

The fish monster kneeled respectfully, staring at the Bodhisattva statue with fanatical eyes, as if the statue was alive.

"Li Jing, these few days, you have kept an eye on the little Naolong, and try to make him conflict with Ao Lie. It is best to make the conflict between Ao Lie and the little Naolong more and more serious."

"Little remember."

"By the way, there are still traces of the Dragon King of Jinghe, you should also remember to report."

"Okay, Bodhisattva, when will the villain be able to fulfill his wish?"

The Bodhisattva statue let out a chuckle, "Li Jing, as long as you do things seriously, you will become a Buddha and enjoy the infinite way in the future. The dragon clan will only be a gatekeeper for you in the future."

After hearing this, the carp spirit was very excited and kowtowed to the Bodhisattva statue.
