At that time, the editor came to me and hoped to publish it. After reaching the intention, the editor proposed many revisions to the book. Looking at the densely packed various points, I thought that the difficulty of revision is far greater than that of rewriting.After completely giving up on this book, I readjusted my thinking and wrote a new book with the same structure and similar content. The editor named it "Corpse Investigation Section".

In June 2015, "Corpse Investigation Section" was officially published by Hunan Literature and Art Publishing House.When I received the paper sample booklet for the first time, I was excited for several days.But soon, a pot of cold water poured down.Because I didn't know the writing routines, I just talked about the case blindly, without conflicts between characters, and without tension and excitement, the Douban score of "Corpology Investigation Section" plummeted from the initial 6 points to 8.0 points.Every few days, the editor will send me some comments from readers. These comments are mixed, with "derogation" as the main one.

With this depressed mood, I basically gave up the writing plan for the second book.But a month later, the situation has a new reversal.Although the Douban score is not high, the sales are not bad.This at least proves that there are still many people who are willing to read such a rather documentary novel.This gave me the motivation to keep writing.So I couldn't stop, and in the next few years, I published seven novels in succession.

After each publication, I will spend a long time researching readers' comments on me. For some negative comments, I gradually changed from the original resistance to active acceptance.I'll even take excerpts of the reviews, put them together, sum up the bad reviews, and correct them in the next book.

In the early days, I always liked to cover up my shortcomings as a "non-professional author", but I soon realized that this "self-deception" method will not get back the recognition of readers in the end.How to make up for it?This has been a problem I have had to face for a long time. On June 2017, 6, the seven volumes of the "Department of Corpse Investigation" series were completed.With a little respite, I signed up for a writing tutoring class online and started a half-year systematic writing training.

It wasn't until the end of the training that I deeply realized a problem. If "writing" is compared to cooking, then "story" is the ingredient, and "writing technique" is the cooking process.The same "ingredient" has been cooked in different ways, and the final taste is also very different.

Over the years, I am very grateful to my readers and friends, no matter how "simple and crude" "writing techniques" I use, you have always been with me.Five years have passed in a flash, and in your pursuit, "Corpology Investigation Section" ushered in a reprint.The stories of Leng Qiming, Si Yuanlong, Ye Qian, Jiao Lei, and Chen Guoxian can continue again.In this situation, I really want to chant a poem, but I can think about it, but I don't know how to express my gratitude.
