Chapter 4
Several years passed, and through the deliberate "cultivation" of Abbot Faming, Master Xuanzang's reputation gradually spread in the Tang Dynasty.

On this day, after Xuanzang finished his morning class, Abbot Faming took out a document from his pocket and handed it to Xuanzang.

"Water and Land Ceremony?"

There was a flash of light in the depths of Xuanzang's eyes, he knew that the plot was about to begin.

"This time, you will replace our Jinshan Temple to Chang'an to participate in the ten-year Water and Land Dharma Conference. At that time, Zen Master Xuyun, the host of Huasheng Temple, will arrange everything for you. This Dharma Conference is of far-reaching significance. You must pay attention to it." , will the Buddha Dharma of Jinshan Temple"

Fa Ming chattered a lot of explanations, Xuanzang smiled and listened patiently, got up and left, and went to prepare the luggage for tomorrow.

Over the past few years, Xuanzang (also known as Jiang Qiyu) has not been idle. He does his homework in the morning, studies Buddhism, and conducts his own training in the afternoon.

Because the speed of training was too frightening, he had to go out to the temple for training every afternoon, which was called going out for alms.

Today's strength has increased a lot, and the data in his mind has changed:
[Normal]: Early stage of true immortality
[Seriously]: The early stage of quasi-sage
【anger】:? ? ?

This kind of strength, in addition to a few quasi-sages who are hidden from the world, and seven saints who live in seclusion in the chaos, he can be said to be able to kill any enemy below the level of the leader with one punch.

"If this poor monk punches you down, you may die!"

This is no longer empty talk!
There was a faint smile on Xuanzang's face, a little careless, he seemed not very serious about what happened at the moment.

If this state is placed on an ordinary person, it will make people feel that this person may be a little naturally dull, but in a Buddhist disciple like Xuanzang, it just highlights the indifferent temperament of a Buddhist disciple.

Looking from a distance, he is an extraordinary handsome monk. His bald head does not lower his appearance at all. His starry eyes are bright and his eyebrows are like distant mountains. His body seems to emit a faint white light. Smiling at you is like a flower. The moment it opened, the world brightened. The heart will be cleaner, no wonder so many female benefactors are thinking about Tang Seng's beauty on the way to learn the scriptures.

If the gods looked at it with the eyes of the sky, they would only feel that there is a pair of exquisite and transparent skins, which is simply the body of the Wugou Buddha, but they have not yet cultivated.

Seriously, although Xuanzang's strength has reached the early stage of quasi-sage, it is not the traditional way of cultivation after all. He does not have the slightest cultivation base in him. What he possesses is strength, speed and physical strength beyond the comprehension of immortals and gods.

To put it another way, the way he walks is incompatible with this world. Although his strength is unbelievable, he is still a mortal body. Those gods and Buddhas can't see any abnormalities, and they can't even detect the strength of the real physical body.

Xuanzang also wanted to try cultivating immortals or Buddhas. After all, although One Punch Man’s training methods made his strength unbelievable, he was still a mortal in the end, without all kinds of supernatural powers. Although it jumps high and fast, it can leave the continent in an instant and jump into the starry sky of the universe. But it is still jumping, it cannot fly physically, and it does not have the magical means of various immortals and Buddhas.

At present, it is very unrealistic to try to cultivate. Journey to the West is about to start, and the eyes of all the gods and Buddhas are watching him. No one dares to jump out at this time to teach him the method of cultivation.

If he wants to practice, he can only wait for the end of the Journey to the West. The Tathagata Buddha gave him the Buddha Status, and the merits and virtues gained from completing the Journey to the West will definitely allow him to reach the cultivation base of a celestial being.

Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in Buddhism do not mean cultivation, but a kind of fruit status in Buddhism. The fruit status will be equivalent to Taoism, Taoism or heavenly priesthood. It has nothing to do with cultivation. The effect is to share the amount of Buddhist luck and the speed of cultivation. The speed is different.

Don't you see that the merciful and compassionate Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is already a strong man in the middle stage of Daluo Jinxian, but he is only a Bodhisattva, which shows how rare the Buddha's fruit is.

People without great luck, great fortune, great opportunity, great merit, and great perseverance cannot obtain the Buddha's honor.

The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva who made a great wish "Hell is not empty and vows not to become a Buddha" has reached the early stage of quasi-sage, but in order to obtain authentic merits and virtues, he has to make a great wish and stay in the underworld, hoping to fulfill his wish one day in the future and get a higher goal. fruit position.

Just because the luck shared by the Buddha's fruit is more than ten times that of the Bodhisattva's fruit, the natural cultivation speed is also ten times faster than that of the Bodhisattva's fruit.

These two bodhisattvas could have become Buddhas according to their cultivation and merits, but they chose to accumulate merits and virtues, and walk around the world in thousands of incarnations, and everyone passed on their good names, in order to directly ascend to heaven and become the ancestor of all Buddhas. fruit position.

The fruit of the ancestor of ten thousand Buddhas is even more rare than the fruit of the Buddha. From the beginning of Buddhism to the end of the infinite kalpa, there were only seventeen ancestors of ten thousand Buddhas, that is, the Buddha.

The seventeen ancestors of ten thousand Buddhas are: Shiqi Buddha, Visabha Buddha, Detaining Sun Buddha, Gunahamuni Buddha, Kasyapa Buddha, Nanmo Randeng Ancient Buddha, Nanwu Pharmacist Liuliguangwang Buddha, Nanwu There is no Sakyamuni Buddha, there is no Buddha of the past, future, and present, there is no Pure Joy Buddha in the south, there is no Vairouchi Buddha in the south, there is no King Buddha in the south, there is no Maitreya Buddha in the south, there is no Amitabha Buddha in the south, there is no Infinite Life Buddha in the south, The ancient Buddha of Longguang, the ancient Buddha of Nanwu Great Sage Relic, Sun Wukong.

That's right, the person who should be robbed of the Wutian Calamity is the Sun Wukong who fought against the Buddha, and finally sacrificed himself to defeat Wutian before he became the No. 17 Patriarch of Ten Thousand Buddhas, Nanwu Great Sage Relic King Buddha.

This naturally also includes the plans of the saints. Duobao Rulai is the means by which the Sanqing saints share the luck of the Buddha's sect in the great calamity of the gods, and Sun Wukong is the means by which the nuwa saints of this calamity share the luck of the Buddhist sect.Without so many compromises, the spread of Buddhism to the East will definitely encounter many obstacles, and it will not be so smooth.

At the very least, there are many people in the Heavenly Court who don't like Buddhism. For example, some disciples who are on the list of the gods, and only when the sage has issued a decree, they will not add obstacles to Journey to the West.

Although the general trend does not change, there are naturally many calculations hidden in the small trend.

It can be seen from this that it takes a lot of luck and strength to become the patriarch of ten thousand Buddhas in order to obtain the ultimate Buddhahood.

Xuanzang was more fortunate, he took away Jin Chanzi's body and inherited the identity of a Buddhist scripture. The Tathagata Buddha of the Western Paradise is also heartbroken for this second disciple to become a Buddha. The other brothers and sisters have already become Buddhas. Only Jin Chanzi, the lucky one in the official establishment, knows no blessings in the blessings. He can listen to the Buddha's personal lectures on Buddhism every day. Discussing the Dao, even dozing off while discussing the Buddha.

It's no wonder that the Tathagata Buddha cruelly sent him into reincarnation. He was a good person for ten generations and accumulated blessings. In the last life, he was asked to be a Buddhist scripture learner who spread Buddhism eastward and became a Buddha through the power of merit.

Thinking about it this way, Xuanzang felt that he only needed to follow the plot, and he would be able to obtain a huge amount of meritorious power and use it to become a Buddha.

The way to cultivate truth is long, and I am afraid that Jin Chanzi, the second generation of Buddha, does not know how to make progress. He will be a monk for a day and ring the bell for a day.

Xuanzang is now Jiang Qiyu, not the idiot Jin Chanzi. After so many years, he has already considered how to gain more merits on the way of learning the scriptures.

It is impossible to ask others for help. If you can solve it with your fists, you don't need to bother others. Naturally, you don't need to share merits with other gods and Buddhas.

The great prosperity of Buddhism is the general trend of the way of heaven. If you follow the general trend, you can naturally seek the merits of the way of heaven.

Pack your bags, nothing more than a few changes of laundry and sundries.

There were quite a few people who saw him off, but Abbot Fa Ming was the only one who didn't come. The brothers of the Bodhidharma Academy can say that they watched him grow up, and maybe they knew something, and their eyes were filled with deep reluctance.

"Xiao Liu'er, remember to come back early after attending the Fa conference!"

Brother Zhihu patted Xuanzang's little head. Although Xuanzang was an adult, in the eyes of several senior brothers in the Bodhidharma Academy, he was still the little mud monkey who squatted at the door to watch them practice martial arts.

Xuanzang couldn't help but sigh in his heart, but the faint smile on his face became even bigger, and he said, "Brothers, don't send me any more, I'll be back after I'm done!"

After finishing speaking, Xuanzang first bowed in the direction of Abbot Faming's meditation room, then bowed to the senior brothers, and said a Buddhist name in his mouth.

"Amitabha"

All the brothers returned the salute and said in unison: "Amitabha, Xuanzang take care!"

Xuanzang took a deep look at the senior brothers, then turned around gracefully, holding a wooden staff in his left hand, and holding a Buddhist bowl in his right hand, step by step, the monk's clothes fluttered, and gradually disappeared into the green mountains and green waters in front of Jinshan Temple.

After many years, I don't know when I will be able to return to Jinshan Temple again.
