Chapter 5
Not long after dawn, Mo Shunuan got up, put on her clothes, and started washing her face and brushing her teeth when she stepped out of the room.

No one in the family slept in. The five elder brothers walked in the front yard when they got up, the grandmother Rong and the eldest aunt were busy in the kitchen, and the mother, third aunt and two older sisters were sweeping the yard.

Mo Shunuan felt very warm in these scenes.

"It's time to eat." The aunt stood at the door of the kitchen with two bowls of sweet potato porridge, and said to several people in the courtyard, then turned around and brought the bowls to the dining table in the main room.

Hearing the meal, the third brother Mo Yichen was very excited, he immediately stood up and ran into the house, only to take a step, he was pulled back by the elder brother Mo Yiying.

Mo Yiying's face was cold, but he was somewhat similar to Mr. Mo, and his voice sounded indifferently: "Do you want to stay for another hour?"

"Brother, I was wrong, don't tell grandpa and father." Mo Yichen pretended to be pitiful, and continued to squat in aggrieved manner.

When everyone in the yard saw him like this, except Mo Yiying, they couldn't help laughing, and Mo Yichen was so ashamed that he wanted to bury his head.

Mo Shunuan and the others walked into the main room first, and Mo Yiying and the boys came in after sitting down, but everyone tacitly did not start, waiting for Mr. Mo to sit down and start eating, and then they moved their chopsticks.

Breakfast is very simple, just porridge made from sweet potatoes, plus pickles made some years ago.

But Mo Shunuan's bowl of porridge was indeed different. They all had more sweet potatoes and less rice, but she had more rice than sweet potatoes.

Mo Shunuan was silent and didn't speak. She ate her own meal in a dull mood. She made up her mind that she must work hard to make her family live a better life.

The Mo family has always eaten without talking or sleeping, so everyone ate in silence. When they were about to finish eating, they heard someone calling Mo Shunuan's name outside.

"It's Jiu'er, I'll go out for a while." Hearing the voice of her good friend, Mo Shunuan hurriedly put down the bowls and chopsticks, ran out of the main room after saying that, and walked to the gate of the yard in a few steps.

Jiu'er is the youngest daughter of Aunt Liu in the village. Because she is the ninth child, she is simply called Jiu'er.

Jiu'er is full of older brothers, and like Mo Shunuan, they are all favored at home, but Jiu'er is not the kind of person who makes trouble for no reason, so the two of them can play together.

"Ah Nuan, these are the headflowers that my fifth brother bought for me in town yesterday. We each have one." Jiu'er's petite stature and frail appearance made people especially want to protect her.

Mo Shunuan didn't answer, shook her head with a smile, took Jiu'er's hand and said, "Jiu'er, a pair of head flowers are good-looking, and your brother bought them, so you can keep them for yourself. I don't like them. We Go ahead, it's still cold outside."

Jiu'er thought about it for a while, so she took the hair flowers back, carried her own small basket on her back, and followed Mo Shunuan into the yard.

In the main room, everyone finished their meal, Feng Sining and third aunt Li Shi were washing dishes in the kitchen, Mo Yarou and Mo Xinling were cleaning the table.

"Jiu'er, have you eaten yet?" Rong asked with a kind smile.

"Grandma Rong, I've already eaten." Jiu'er replied obediently, without showing any teeth.

"Then come and sit for a while, or go to the house to play with Ah Nuan?" Rong said.

"No need, I'm here to ask Ah Nuan to go up the mountain to pick mushrooms." Jiu'er quickly shook her head and refused, she almost forgot about it just now.

Only then did Mo Shunuan understand why Jiu'er was carrying a basket on her back. Anyway, she was still thinking about how to make money before, so it's good to go up the mountain to have a look, maybe she can find some good things.

"Okay, I'll get the basket." Mo Shunuan agreed happily, then ran into the main room and took out the small bamboo basket that her grandfather had woven for her.
