Chapter 39 Why

"Yes, Captain!"

After Roy Moore gave the order, the girl and little Jorde who followed her performed a not-so-standard Loen-style military salute.

Seeing this military salute, the corners of Roy Moore's mouth turned up slightly, revealing a slightly happy smile, and then he issued the order to start action in a not-so-loud voice.

"Start taking action and be sure to pay attention to safety!"

"Yes, Captain!"

The two young team members saluted again and responded. The four-person team quickly divided into two teams. Elsa and the others ran around the outside of the city wall to the entrance on the other side.

Roy waved to Ron, telling him to follow him carefully.

Under the crimson moonlight, Roy carefully groped around the outside of the city wall full of gravel and dust. After a while, he found a hole covered by weeds and gravel.

The hole was not large, and could only barely allow a boy of their size to move in and out.

"This is the emergency exit I found."

Roy Moore scratched his head and explained a few words to Ron with some satisfaction.

As a wanderer who has been in Putuo City for many years, his familiarity with this city is much better than that of the so-called general's guards.

At first it was extremely narrow, but only then did they get through. After taking a step or two, the two of them entered the city of Putuo.

The city had changed greatly from what it looked like during the day. The crimson moonlight shone quietly, and both sides of the main streets were decorated with torches soaked in grease.

The scene illuminated by the light of the torch is full of people. In front of every house, decorations made of white feathers and bones are hung.

Some people even have lamps made of human bones in front of their doors, and they don’t know which elder of their family they are.

"This way!"

Roy Moore waved to Ron. Even though it was night and he was disguised, he still did not relax his vigilance and led Ron on a path without firelight.

"Our destination is those festival food distribution points, where there is often good food distribution."

Roy whispered again and repeated the previously discussed plan.

In this small town that is not mainly agricultural, death rituals are often held by the West Balan Restoration Association to worship the God of Death.

In Ron's opinion, this kind of activity is useless at all, but in fact, this kind of sacrificial activity is really useless.

Apart from making the residents of this small town feel better mentally, it will not get any response from the so-called God of Death!

Following Roy as the guide, Ron quickly arrived at the ritual food distribution point in the city where they were located.

All these foods were donated free of charge by the National Restoration Association, but these things were very common for the residents of the small town. They just took advantage of the festival atmosphere to come and receive a small portion to make the scene more lively.

But for Roy and the others, these things are rare treasures.

I saw a boy with rough blond hair coming to the venue of the festival and looking around.

After a while, he discovered the location of his target. He checked his rough disguise, carefully hid his exposed blond hair, and then lined up behind a queue that was not crowded.

He went there again and again, and every time he got the food, he would put it at Ron's place and then turn around and go to the queue again. Roy did not let Ron follow him, because he also knew that this was not a very decent thing for a Loen gentleman.

"You've already received it!"

Finally, "Insatiable", a boy with rough blond hair, caught the attention of the delivery staff. He frowned and looked at Roy, who had already received food from many festivals, with an evil look, and directly rejected his request.

If the festival hadn't been about to begin, he would have definitely tied up the dark guy in front of him and thrown him out of the city, letting the jackals and wild dogs in the wild teach him a lesson.

Perhaps he sensed the malicious intent of the dispatcher, or perhaps this harvest was enough for him.

Roy did not try to stalk him, but quickly left the scene under the strange looks.

These eyes were like knives stabbing into the young man's back, but he had long been accustomed to these, and these were difficulties that he had to overcome in order to survive.

"Great!"

"Fortunately, I have your help this time, Ron. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to get it so many times!"

A sincere smile appeared on Roy's face. He thanked his new friend seriously and looked at the four paper bags in front of him as if he were looking at treasures.

"Then what? Roy, let's take these back?"

"No, Ron, although this time it is more than what you receive every year, it is not enough!"

"I know a good place. That is the logistics location of the General Guards in Putuo City. They should be preparing food for the celebration at this time. We can go there and take a look!"

"There's a lot of good stuff there, and the butter Elsa used today is the one I got there last time!"

The green-eyed boy said swornly, and it was obvious that he was very proud of this aspect, because last time he took advantage of the darkness and mixed with the festival personnel to get the butter, but it made Elsa and Jorde happy for a long time.

As the leader of the three, and as a young boy, this was something that gave him a very, very sense of accomplishment.

Ron's golden eyes moved, he pushed up his monocle again, and looked at the young man with some confusion.

In the other person's fate and future, Ron only saw one ending.

That is to die peacefully in this chaotic West Bailang, just like the wild flowers blooming on the roadside that no one cares about, and like the dry and messy weeds on the roadside.

At this time, Roy Moore's enthusiastic attitude towards everything confused Ron even more.

You can clearly see your future at a glance, and death is bound to come, so why do you still struggle so hard! ?
This is not to say that Ron hates this young man who is very enthusiastic about everything, nor does he think that Roy's various behaviors offend the great ruler of time and space, but that he is really curious.

Although his vision penetrates the past and the future, and although he has supreme ability and authority, in the past, he would not have the slightest interest in such a weak creature.

They are so weak and ignorant, just like the young man in front of them. Everything is nothing, as time has long proven.

The blond boy pushed up his monocle, wanting to ask a question directly and get the answer from the other person's mouth.

But Roy Moore had already walked away, waving his hand in the distance to signal Ron to hurry over to avoid being discovered by the residents attending the ceremony.

Ron smiled, shook his head, and followed quietly.

Time would reveal the final answer to him, and he was in no rush.
