The preparation of graphene is actually very simple, just use office transparent tape.

In the 1940s, when scientists proposed the concept of single-layer graphite structure, it did not attract the attention of the academic community.

Until 2004, Andre Geim, a physics professor at the University of Manchester in the UK, accidentally saw graphite residue on a piece of Scotch tape in the laboratory trash can.

This piece of transparent tape is ordinary office tape. It was originally used by students to fix graphite in their homes when doing experiments. After the experiment, the tape was no longer useful, so it was naturally thrown into the trash can as garbage.

However, Andre Geim had an open mind, and he wondered if he could use tape to separate graphene directly.

The essence of graphite is actually layers of graphene stacked on top of each other. If one layer is taped down with tape, the graphite will be thinner.

Theoretically, as long as this operation is repeated continuously, in the end, a single-layer graphite structure, which is graphene, will definitely be stained.

So Andrei Geim found his partner Konstantin Novoselov, and after discussing it, the two actually did it and successfully separated graphene!

Countless scientists have used countless complicated methods, but none of them have been able to do it. In the end, they used tape to simply and crudely stick it out!

As far as scientific research is concerned, this method is too simple. The experimental exams of the high school entrance examination are much more difficult than this! Normal scientists have all kinds of scientific and technological means in their minds. Who would have thought of using this earthly method to prepare graphene.

High-end ingredients often only require simple cooking.

High-end scientific research can also use the simplest scientific research methods!
Of course, although this method is very simple, its specific implementation requires patience and time, and it cannot be produced on a large scale using this method.

In addition, this method can only obtain a small amount of graphene, and the quality is not very good.
