I'm trapped in a block

Chapter 4 Inside the Monitoring Station

Chapter 4 Inside the Monitoring Station
Inside the metal block, Mo Ling stared at the recorder's electronic screen carefully and memorized the contents recorded on it.

"The relic probably refers to that strange weapon. Now they also recognize me as a relic."

But what is the abyss?
Moring plans to wait and see before getting more information.

People in the camp are busy, and everyone wears an identical metal nameplate around their neck with their name written on it.

Most of the people present were "first-level hunters", and the few "second-level hunters" had an additional title on their nameplates.

They used various advanced equipment that Mo Ling had never seen before, searching back and forth in the camp.

I saw a team member throwing a metal ball with mesh patterns. After it fell to the ground, it expanded and stretched out its mechanical arm to pack the surrounding materials.

A disc-shaped device like a sweeping robot crawled on the ground, collecting the bodies of the little black men one by one.

Another team member climbed up the city wall just now, took out a capsule from his waist, and wrapped it in the broom-like relic used by the villain wizard before.

The strong man with the big shield left and came back, and a cart followed him.

"This is a flatbed truck for transporting supplies. You have contributed a lot this time, so you can take this one first."

He took off the bracelet in his hand and handed it to Li Luo: "Bracelet operation."

Li Luo didn't take the bracelet, but just looked at the cart.

The recorder looked at this awkward scene and joked: "Captain Du, you really take care of your former boss's daughter. Is this considered using public affairs for personal gain?"

Du Kang turned around and kicked the recorder: "Don't be lazy here, the broom on the city wall hasn't been registered yet!"

"Yes, yes, yes." The recorder twisted his body to avoid it and ran away.

The atmosphere was deadlocked, and Li Luo finally took the bracelet.

"Thank you."

Du Kang also breathed a sigh of relief. The tall and strong man was actually a little embarrassed.

"You're welcome. Pack up and leave quickly. We've already wasted too much time."

Li Luo stood up and clicked a few times on the bracelet. The cart automatically moved to the original wooden cart, stretched out the support device to lift the metal block, and then slowly drove to the bottom.

Several fixed points were raised on the pallet truck to tightly lock the metal block, and the loading was completed in one operation.

Li Luo walked towards other places, and the cart also started driving slowly, automatically following her.

Mo Ling curiously studied these advanced equipment.

"This thing is good."

Mo Ling really wanted to try teleporting the bracelet in and try operating it himself. Then he could go wherever he wanted.

But the bracelet is already on Li Luo's hand. If he teleports now, it won't just be the bracelet.

Everyone gathered, and after taking stock, they walked through the camp and headed in the other direction.

Along the way, Mo Ling sat in the cart and watched all kinds of rare birds and animals rushing out of the surrounding jungle, and then being eliminated by everyone.

Soon, the team arrived at a strange building.

The building's exterior is composed of smooth white tiles, a semicircle capped above the ground, and a tall tower protruding from the top.

Like a lollipop stuck upside down on the ground.

As the team approached, a portal slowly rose from the white tiles, and the guards walked out and began to check identities.

These guards are particularly cautious about metal blocks, and everyone who comes to the cart will stop for a long time.

Finally, the team successfully entered the white building.

The interior is a huge square space, with spiral stairs extending to the tower and underground, creating a unique cave.

Looking from the inside out, the original white tiles have also turned into transparent glass, and the jungle outside the building can be clearly seen. People were coming and going in the square. When they saw the group that had just entered the building, they only glanced at it briefly.

Like Mo Ling, most people in the team also opened their eyes wide and looked at the interior of the building longingly.

"Welcome everyone to the seventh monitoring station."

A kind-hearted middle-aged scholar wearing a white coat, glasses, and neat hair walked up to the crowd and welcomed them with open hands.

When Du Kang saw this, he stepped forward and said hello: "Stationmaster Liang, you are well."

Mo Ling also looked at the nameplate hanging by the scholar.

"Level 3 hunter, Liang Zhi, the sage of the forest."

Level three hunter? This was the first time Mo Ling saw him. After comparing his status, it seemed that the higher the level, the more powerful he was.

Stationmaster Liang walked up to Du Kang, patted his shoulder, and looked at the people behind him with bright eyes.

“This year’s newcomers look very energetic!”

Du Kang explained: "I just cleared a totem ghost camp along the way, right between the big elevator and the monitoring station. I don't know when it was established."

Stationmaster Liang also looked puzzled when he heard this. He pushed up his glasses and said, "It's only been half a year since our last inspection. How come it's so fast?"

Du Kang shook his head: "It may be related to the recent riots. We have brought all the corpses back, and we need to study them again at the monitoring station."

Hearing the word "riot", Station Commander Liang's expression suddenly became serious, and he was no longer relaxed as before.

After the two talked, they placed the people behind them in a huge warehouse, and the researchers in the monitoring station began to take over various supplies.

But no one came to Li Luo to ask about the metal block. Mo Ling just sat on the cart and followed Li Luo everywhere to hand it over.

"Why do I look like an electronic pet?"

But Mo Ling also enjoyed it. He was worried about not being able to understand the monitoring station seriously, so he happened to follow Li Luo around.

After the handover, everyone went to a conference room under the guidance of Station Master Liang.

But at the door of the conference room, Li Luo was stopped.

Stationmaster Liang looked at Li Luo and murmured, "He looks really like Dad."

After Li Luo heard this, he just stood there silently and looked at Station Master Liang expressionlessly.

"The personality is quite similar. He looks like the most powerful person in the world."

Are there any grievances here?
Mo Ling pricked up his ears gossiping from behind, even though he didn't need ears to listen now.

Stationmaster Liang walked to the metal block again and sighed: "His luck is as good as his."

After saying that, he waved his hand to Li Luo: "It's okay, you can go in. If you have any problems in the abyss from now on, you can come to me."

Li Luo was not polite and turned around to leave.

"I don't take the opportunity to have a relationship. She does have quite a personality." Mo Ling also felt that this girl had too much personality.

In the conference room, people gradually arrived. After Director Liang welcomed everyone in, he walked to the main seat and pulled out the chair, but did not sit down.

He first bowed deeply to everyone.

"First of all, thank you for your contribution to cleaning up the totem ghost camp."

"The seventh monitoring station is the farthest one from the big elevator, and the road to get here is also the most difficult. If one more obstacle is cleared, fewer people will die later."

"As the director of the seventh monitoring station, I was derelict in not discovering the situation in time. I would like to apologize to everyone."

Stationmaster Liang bent down and bowed again before slowly sitting down.
