Chapter 29 Ghost Story Apartment 2
  Apartment on the first floor.

Xie Ning walked out of the creaking elevator. There was a spacious hall in the middle of the first floor, all the way connected to the open kitchen in the backyard. It was fully equipped with tables, chairs and stools. It was obviously a dining place prepared for tenants.

There are three rooms on each side of the apartment, and the dark door panels look like monuments to the dead in the narrow corridor.

"Hello, is this Gu, Gu Tan's apartment?"

Outside the double-open red-lacquered wooden door, stood a man in his twenties, with crisp, short hair, and a hint of nervousness in his shy expression.

Behind him was a winding path paved with gravel, extending all the way into the dark woods.

Xie Ning's eyes fell on his hand. He was holding a flyer full of advertisements. He looked at the picture style on it, which happened to be what Gu Tan's apartment looked like.

Sensing Xie Ning's gaze, the man subconsciously clenched the flyer in his hand: "I heard that the rent here is 300 a month. I don't know if it's true or not. Are you the landlord here?"

"I am, you want to rent a house?"

The other party seemed a little surprised, "Yes, but I didn't expect the landlord to be so young."

"I didn't expect anyone to actually rent a house here."

Is this place so secluded and deep that it may be haunted, or is it this place in the wilderness where people are killed and their bodies are buried without anyone noticing?
  The young man scratched his head awkwardly and smiled: "Actually, the scenery here is nice, there are few people and it's quiet. I'm a homebody but I quite like it here, and the rent is also cheap."

"It's cold outside, let's talk first." Xie Ning turned sideways to make way.

The humidity in the forest was heavy and the wind was strong. While the two were talking at the door, the temperature in the apartment continued to drop.

The young man rubbed his arms and looked at Xie Ning gratefully: "Thank you."

Xie Ning looked at the clean and tidy ground. There were no footprints on the ground.

Before the doorbell rang, Xie Ning stood by the window and didn't see anyone downstairs. If the person was coming from the forest, the soles of his shoes couldn't be that clean.

"What are you looking at?" The young man took two steps and turned around when she didn't follow her.

He stood under the lamp, the bright light shining on his head, and the shadow cast by it shrouded his features in darkness. The dark eye sockets and corners of his mouth exuded a sense of eeriness, and even his voice seemed a bit colder.

"Nothing, I just want to remind you that the elevator is in the aisle on your right."

"Don't bother me. When I was outside, I saw that the other rooms were all dark. There should be a lot of vacant rooms on the first floor. I'll live on the first floor. It's more convenient." The man's voice was very soft and his face was shy. The shy smile never changed.

As time went by, it became more and more stiff.

As he spoke, he slowly approached Xie Ning's direction. The light was obscured by his body bit by bit, and the shadow on the ground was lengthened, extending infinitely to Xie Ning's feet.

The shape of the shadow was a bit strange, as if something was about to come out of the darkness.

Without the cold wind, a slight chill still filled the empty apartment.

He stopped in front of Xie Ning. The distance between the two was extremely close. She could almost touch each other's body by raising her hand. However, she didn't feel any yin energy from him. It was because the other person was stronger than her, so she couldn't feel it. ?
  Things in the shadow rose, and her hands were shaking slightly.

The young man fell straight to the ground, the weird smile on his face froze, a big gash was opened on the back of his head, and dark red blood slowly dripped onto the floor.
