Chapter 31 We Orphans and Widows
Seeing Bai Ling's silence, the leading man quickly added.

"We can do anything, including hard labor. We don't want to eat for free but just want to find a shelter."

"Are you all college students?" Bai Ling asked.

"I'm not, they are, we're coming from the next city."

The leading man was a little embarrassed, but he still answered quickly.

There is a very powerful monster in the city next door. Most of the city has been wiped out, and even the officials can't get in.

They should have some strength if they come out.

"We were also lucky. When the change happened, we happened to be playing in the suburbs."

Seeing Bo Ling's distrust, the leading man quickly added.

The man headed by "My Name" wanted to introduce himself, but was interrupted by Bo Ling.

"This is for you." Bai Ling gave a blessing to each of them. "It has some weak abilities."

"There is also this master key that can open any car on the street. My base is in the west of the city where the vines grow. If you can come, I will take you in."

"Wait until you get to my base and introduce yourself to me."

After Bai Ling finished speaking, he carried the little girl and her mother and flew away.

The rest of the people looked at Bai Ling flying in the air with envy on their faces.

"What should I do? Brother Lu? Are you going?" one of the students, a girl, asked.

The man who was called Brother Lu looked at Bai Ling's back and his heart skipped a beat.

"We have already come out of such a dangerous place, and yet we are still afraid of crossing the city to the west? Rather than starving to death here, we might as well give it a try!"

"Okay, I'll listen to you."

"Brother Lu, I will follow you."

"We also agree."

"Then let's go!"

Several people took their belongings with them. After opening a van on the roadside, they set off on their journey.

It took a little longer to carry two people back.

It took forty minutes to get to the community.

Uncle Li just came out of the treadmill, and the others were still inside.

"Uncle Li, you have grown a lot stronger." Bai Ling put down the two people, who had not yet recovered.

"I haven't exercised like this for a long time!" Uncle Li laughed heartily, "Is this?"

"I brought it back and will be living at the base from today on. Mom has asthma symptoms and needs to prepare more medicine."

Bai Ling ordered.

"Thank you sister!" the little girl said softly.

She was almost scared to death just now, and she finally persuaded her mother to follow her to the place agreed with her sister.

Unexpectedly, a group of people suddenly appeared and refused to let them leave.

She was afraid that her sister would be angry, or that the group of people were here to harm her.

Then his own sin would be great.

"It's okay, go and wash up!" Bai Ling touched the little girl's head.

"Thank you, sister." The little girl nodded obediently and took her mother to the bathroom nearby.

Uncle Li arranged for them to live in the same building as the original two families, on the second floor.

It’s better to take care of each other conveniently.

They washed quickly and came out in 20 minutes. There were pajamas in the bathroom that Uncle Li had prepared long ago.

Looking at the little girl's fair face, Bo Ling couldn't help but pinch her.

"Sister, my name is Wang Xiaoxia. This is my mother Wang Xia. I am seven years old this year."

Wang Xia looked pale and remained silent.

"You will live here from today on. You can exchange points for supplies here. You can eat for free today. You will have to work from tomorrow on. The initial points are 500."

Bai Ling bent down and patiently explained to Wang Xiaoxia. "No, why do you still need us to work?" Wang Xia's tone was very angry.

"Mom." Wang Xiaoxia pulled Wang Xia's sleeve but didn't hold it.

It seemed that she only saw Bo Ling and Uncle Li, and felt bullied. Wang Xia became a little more confident.

"I think you look pretty good, you have a lot of supplies, and you take up such a large space."

"It's so scary outside, but it should be quite safe inside. What kind of work can we orphans and widowed mothers do?"

"Just give it to us. We can promise not to leave the house."

Wang Xia stated her request in one breath, completely ignoring Bai Ling's increasingly cold eyes.

"Sister, I will work hard, please let us stay here."

Wang Xiaoxia squeezed in front of her mother and said that her mother had offended many people because of her mouth.

They had no place to go, so they could work in exchange for food, and she could work as much as they wanted.

This Wang Xia is not easy to deal with.

Bai Ling directly took out the contract and placed it in front of the two of them.

"In my place, you have to work in exchange for supplies. If you agree, put your fingerprint on it. If not, I will send you back to the place where you came from."

Bai Ling kept his tone very cold, and Wang Xiaoxia pressed the fingerprint without hesitation.

Wang Xia wanted to say something else, but Wang Xiaoxia tried her best to stop her.

They were lucky enough to live near the Hope Base and didn't encounter any monsters.

If she was kicked out, Wang Xiaoxia felt that she would not be able to protect her mother on her own.

Wang Xiaoxia forcefully took Wang Xia's hand and pressed her fingerprints. Wang Xia couldn't say anything more and just kept rolling her eyes.

Bai Ling accepted the contract and left them five packs of instant noodles, as well as some milk bread, etc.

You can only go to the cafeteria for meals, and there are signs on the road.

"The canteen is currently short of people. We need people for washing dishes and cleaning."

Hearing what Bai Ling said, Wang Xiaoxia's eyes lit up and she quickly bowed and thanked her.

"Thank you sister, I will do my best."

Wang Xiaoxia was smart. Bo Ling was a little satisfied and walked out with Uncle Li.

"You're a girl! How can you do these jobs!" Wang Xia was still complaining in a low voice.

"Mom, stop talking, we have to work hard now that we are living under someone else's roof!"

Wang Xiaoxia looked at Wang Xia and hated the iron. Why can't her mother know something?

As long as I can remember, I have been taking care of my mother. The two of them relied on charity from relatives for food and clothing.

Bai Ling planned to observe them again. If they were not bad, he could let them choose a prop to defend themselves.

If Wang Xia's mind was wrong, Bo Ling sighed deeply. For the sake of Wang Xiaoxia's life-saving grace in her previous life, Bo Ling was willing to give them abundant supplies and find another safe place.

Others are still training, and Uncle Li is tinkering with his bracelets.

Bai Ling also wanted to stuff Uncle Li with some more self-defense items.

Uncle Li does not want life or death, insisting that his treatment is equal to that of other people in the community.

Bo Ling had no choice but to give up. Thinking of this, Bo Ling walked to the door.

The group of people she was waiting for were, after all, the first group of people to truly join Bai Ling.

Bo Ling was still a little excited. After waiting for about an hour out of boredom, Bo Ling couldn't even see his shadow.

Simply fly directly to the sky and observe them.

As for the things in the space, they were deliberately ignored by Bai Ling, who still didn't know how to face Xiaoshu.

Xiaoshu seemed to have the same idea, hiding in his room and not coming out.

Bai Ling flew into the air to look for the group of people, and soon discovered their presence.

Most of the capable people in the city have gone to the Hope Base, and the rest are hiding at home and afraid to go out.

So their team is quite conspicuous.
