Chapter 12 The groom is not you

Chapter 12 The groom is not you

The mental power increased by 0.3, but Herage didn't have any intuitive feeling, so he didn't know the function of the mental power for the time being.

"How are you? Are you okay?" Emil asked when he saw Herage in a daze.

"It's okay, I was just wondering why I fainted." Herage explained.

"I have heard many stories like this before, but this is the first time I have actually encountered one. There are still too many unknown things in this world." Emil said with emotion.

After leaving the lake to the north, Herlag and the two continued to inspect other areas, but found nothing unusual in these places.

"When the wedding is over, I will tell the Baron about the weirdness here." Emil wrote down the incident.

"There are many people here in spring and summer, but I have never heard anyone talk about things here. And the lake here is only available in winter, which means that the crying at night only exists in winter, when the lake appears." He Rager summed it up briefly.

When he thought of the pale face he saw on the lake, a chill ran down his back. He didn't know what it was. It couldn't be his hallucination anyway.

The setting sun sets in the west, and the golden sunshine shines on the snow-capped mountains, creating a unique scene.

As night fell, the wind became stronger and stronger, and the howling was even more violent than last night.

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu..."

The familiar cry sounded again, and it was more obvious than last night.

Herage lay in the room, ignoring the crying from the distance.

Who would have thought that the cold wind outside became fierce and was beating against his window.

"Woooooooo..."

The crying also became louder, and Herage pricked up his ears to hear it, feeling as if the crying was right outside his window.

"Dark Blue!"

He looked at the small dark blue map. There was nothing outside the house, no animals or people.

"Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

A particularly harsh woman's scream rang out, and Herage suddenly felt that his whole head was confused, and he had a splitting headache. The world in front of him turned black and white, and he was in a state of coma at any time.

"An unknown radiation energy attack has been detected. It is recommended to temporarily shield your hearing."

"Shield your hearing!" Herage immediately gave the order.

Call ~
The whole world seemed to be quiet, and Herage's head no longer hurt.

Herage touched the window and found that it was not his imagination. There was not even a breeze outside the window.

"I wonder how Emil is doing." He suddenly thought that Emil was still next door. He could use the dark blue to block his hearing, but Emil had nothing to do.

He opened the door and found that the door to Emil's room was already open.

"Where are the people?" Emil's house was empty, and the quilt was still warm, indicating that he had just left recently.

The bedroom was on the second floor. When he ran to the first floor, he found that the door was open.

"What is Emil doing out so late?" Herage was full of doubts.

He thought for a while and decided to go out and take a look. He looked around the farm but couldn't see Emil.

When Herage passed by Massimo's house, he heard the loud snoring inside, and thought to himself: "This old man's sleep quality is really good. No wonder he hasn't done anything for so many years. He sleeps so hard that no one can wake him up."

"Isn't Emil walking out of the farm..."

When he walked to the gate, he verified his suspicion. The iron gate of the farm was locked from the inside with an iron chain, but now it was broken with a sword, and the gate was open.

Herage looked at the empty outside at the door, feeling a bad feeling in his heart.

It was impossible for Emil to just run out alone without telling him anything. There was a high possibility of encountering an accident. He went back to the house, picked up his long sword and put on his long bow, and then went out to look for Emil.

The first direction to search is to the north, where the weird lake is.

In the night, Herage moved lightly and moved forward extremely fast.

It didn't take long for him to see Emil, who was wearing casual clothes, holding his own sword in his hand, walking stiffly, and the direction he was heading towards was the lake.

"Emil!" Herage quickly rushed over and called him twice.

Emil showed no reaction and did not even look at Herrag.

Herage walked in front of him and wanted to block Emil. At this time, he suddenly found that Emil's eyes were empty and dark, which suddenly reminded him of the face he saw in the lake during the day.

Emil bypassed him and continued to move forward, not reacting to any of Herague's actions or words.

Herage went around to the back again, looked at the back of Emil's neck, and considered whether to give him a blow.

He struck with a horizontal palm, and Emil reacted very quickly, as if he had eyes on the back of his head. He swung his long sword back and forced Herag back.

After forcing Herrag back, Emil continued to walk forward, and gradually came to the lake. He still kept walking, as if he wanted to walk directly into the lake.

The lake was bottomless and freezing to the bone. If you walked into it, you would be dead.

Herage looked anxious and shouted: "Melissa is getting married, and the groom is not you!"

Emil stopped, his mouth slightly opened as if he wanted to say something, and his empty eyes gradually regained their vitality.

He looked back and saw Herage, a little confused: "Why am I here?"

Herage said speechlessly: "You just followed the devil and kept walking towards the lake. You couldn't stop me."

"Is it so bizarre?" Emil looked puzzled. "I remember hearing a scream and then falling unconscious. I woke up here again."

"Sure enough, it was the scream." Herage understood. Fortunately, he blocked his hearing in time, otherwise he would have ended up with Emil, and both of them would have to go into the lake to feed the fish.

"What is there in this lake? Even the knights can only be at its mercy." Herage said while looking at the calm lake.

Emil was also frightened for a while. This was the first time he encountered such a situation.

Whoa!

Suddenly there was movement in the lake.

"Be careful!" Emil tightened his grip on the sword.

Herague also stared at the lake. The small map didn't show anything, but with the naked eye he could see two figures slowly coming out of the lake.

"This armor looks like a castle guard!" Emil saw the clues from the armor worn by the figure.

Herage thought of something: "The guards of the castle? So the guards who disappeared before actually entered the lake..."

The two figures were not very fast and gradually walked up to the two Herrags.

Only then did they see clearly what the two figures looked like. They were two skeletons wearing armor, and the long swords they held in their hands were already rusty.

This is not over yet, there is still movement in the lake, and three more figures slowly come out from the bottom of the lake.

"Try?" Emil was not afraid at all, but rather excited.

"I'll take care of you," Herage said with a smile.

It was the first time for them to fight this kind of dead thing, and they all had a sense of excitement in their bones.
