Chapter 7 Hill is injured again
Returning to Orlando, after a day of rest, the Magic sat at home and ushered in the digital challenge led by Iverson.

The digital man is coming with a vengeance.

At the end of last season, the conflict between Iverson and Larry Brown became completely public.

Iverson didn't like Larry Brown's strict, team basketball, and Larry Brown, a famous academic coach, was fed up with Iverson's looseness.

After being eliminated by the Pacers for two consecutive years, Larry Brown could no longer bear it and promoted Iverson's trade in the summer, preparing to send away the new scoring champion.

But the complex four-party deal was never reached.

Iverson, who has experienced trade rumors, is still unruly, clamoring for a comeback, and shutting up those who have doubted him.

So after the start of the new season, Iverson played very hard.

In the opening game against the Knicks, he scored 31 points and led his team to beat the Knicks with 29 points.

After back-to-back wins over the Raptors, Iverson still had a murderous three-pointer in his eyes today. He even made sudden shots in the first quarter and scored 11 points.

Rivers stood on the sidelines, his dark face full of nervousness.

Fortunately, Hill returned smoothly.

Before the game, Rivers specifically asked team doctor Joe Billings.

Billings patted his chest and assured him that there was nothing wrong with Hill's ankle.

Rivers did know that during the break yesterday, Hill went to a private clinic for instrument examination under the arrangement of Billings, so his words were still credible.

Taking advantage of the timeout, Rivers grabbed McGrady and told him to play more decisively.

"He is the scoring champion and an All-Star, but you are taller. You have to play to your strengths. Believe in my vision, you also have the potential to win the scoring champion." Rivers pointed at his eyes, spitting encouragement. Looking at Maddie.

Maddie nodded vigorously, a glimmer of light appeared in her gloomy eyes.

Rivers turned to look at Hill again: "Grant, you are the leader of our team. The more we are behind in the score, the more we need you to stand up and lead us to victory."

Although Hill and McGrady have the same high salary, Hill, the successor to Jordan and the best small forward, is undoubtedly the leader of this Magic.

Hill didn't say much, just nodded vigorously.

However, he couldn't help but move his gaze downwards and glanced at his left foot.

After two days of rest, his ankle soreness was better, but in this morning's training, when he tried his best to break through, he still felt some discomfort.

But Hill feels that the problem is not big and he can still persist. The team also needs him.

After returning from the timeout, Hill took the lead in showing off his power. Facing the slow-moving George Lynch, with one start, he got rid of him and went straight to the inside.

But inside, there is also Theo Ratliff, who is not tall but is known for his defense and shot blocking.

With a strong pull and a soft touch, Hill scored the goal with difficulty after physical contact.

Hill's strong play sounded the clarion call for the Magic to chase points.

At halftime, the Magic trailed by only 1 point.

But in the third quarter, the crazy Iverson gave up cooperating with his teammates. He was like a lone knight charging towards the windmill, constantly catching the ball and sprinting towards the basket.

9 of 5 in a single quarter and another 12 points.

The difference widened again.

Seeing that McGrady couldn't find the basket, Hill became anxious. In fact, he didn't feel good today either, maybe because he took a rest.

But he still has a breakthrough.

Amid the MVP cheers from Magic fans, Hill was like Iverson, transforming into a lone hero, breaking through for layups, making emergency mid-range shots, turning his back and hitting hard, working hard to maintain the point difference.

Hill could already feel the heaviness in his body and his breathing became rapid.Especially the calves, which are no longer flexible and light, but as heavy as lead.

However, after glancing at the only 4-point difference, Hill gritted his teeth and rushed out again.

The moment he caught the ball, he dropped his shoulders and started from the corner. Ignoring the oncoming George Lynch, he swayed slightly to the right and immediately pulled back, trying to drive directly into the basket from the left.

But at this moment, when his left foot landed, he didn't know whether it was because he didn't exert enough force or the floor was wiped too clean. The sneakers with huge friction lag on the floor for a moment, but his body had already completed the change of direction.

He stumbled under his feet, and with a moment of stinging pain, Hill screamed and slipped to the ground.

George Lynch quickly raised his hands, indicating that it had nothing to do with him.

The referee also blew the whistle quickly.

Rivers, who was pacing nervously back and forth on the sideline, was instantly petrified.

Behind him, team doctor Joe Billings, who was sitting in the corner of the bench with thinning hair and all white hair, sat up in shock.

Paul Haston next to him also exclaimed and quickly waved to the referee to signal that the game was suspended.

As the referee signaled a pause in the game, Haston rushed out.

Joe Billings followed immediately.

On the field, McGrady and others had gathered around. Hill was lying on the ground, clenching his fists and groaning in pain.

"Grant, what do you think?"

Haston leaned forward and asked nervously.

His eyes were full of panic. He just vaguely saw that Hill seemed to have twisted his foot.

What's more terrible is that the left foot that was twisted was the one that had undergone surgery.

"My left foot."

Hill gritted his teeth and trembled with pain.

Billings had quickly begun checking Hill's left ankle.

It only took a moment before he immediately waved to another member of his team, sports physician Rich Jennings, to push the wheelchair over.

Seeing this scene, Rivers' eyes couldn't help but darken, and he had only one thought in his mind: Don't let anything happen.

After spending so much money to sign Hill, including today's game, Hill has only played two games for the Magic!
With all the fans holding their heads in disbelief, Hill was quickly pushed back to the locker room.

Billings took over and carefully checked Hill's left ankle.

Hill clenched his fists and looked at him nervously.

He is not afraid of pain, but is afraid that if he gets injured, it will affect his game.

"Grant, don't be nervous. I don't think the problem is big." Billings comforted him and touched it. He found no obvious structural damage.

But I still have to go to the hospital and do an MRI to confirm.

As Hill was injured and fell to the ground, the Magic still had a 7-point advantage and unfortunately lost the game.

However, Rivers no longer cared about the result. He hurriedly ended the post-game press conference and rushed to Florida Hospital as soon as possible.

Team general manager John Gabriel also arrived just in time.

The two people they met in the corridor looked at each other with extremely heavy hearts.

The only thing they can do now is pray that Hill is okay.
