Chapter 53 Changes
"Master!" Sequoia called out first.

"Get in the car." Wei Cheng said calmly, looking at Sangsang without blinking.

Sangsang didn't say anything, just got into the car and sat silently, with his head slightly lowered.

The car swayed forward, its wheels leaving a rut on the ground.

The moonlight shines down, casting a shadow on the car directly shining on it.

"Are you tired?" He suddenly spoke, breaking the calm, and his eyes fell on Sangsang's hand.

There were a few blisters on his originally fair hands, and a flash of distress flashed in his eyes.

"I'm not tired." Sangsang said stubbornly.

Feeling Wei Cheng's gaze, she hid her hands in her sleeves.

"Why don't you come tomorrow?" he said suddenly.

Upon hearing this, Sangsang was shocked. He suddenly raised his head and stared at him in disbelief.

"I'm not tired! I promised the old lady to help her dye cloth! You can't give up halfway..."

Seeing her so excited, Wei Cheng asked, "How many days do you need?"

"Four... four days!"

Sangsang said rather guiltily.

After all, four days is a long time for her, and it is not certain whether Wei Cheng will agree.

"Okay, as long as you let me send you here every day, I will agree."

Sangsang's eyes widened and shone brightly.

"Really?" She jumped excitedly, wanting to jump up.

"Of course it's true." Wei Cheng smiled lightly.

"Okay!" Sangsang agreed without thinking.

Perhaps because she was in a happy mood, she felt that it was not so uncomfortable to be in the same carriage as Wei Cheng.

The two of them talked about this at random, with Wei Cheng mostly asking and Sang Sang answering.

He was very curious about Sangsang's experience today, so he asked more details, and Sangsang answered honestly.

While he was talking, the carriage had stopped at the back door of the Wei Mansion.

Sang Sang got out of the car first, and Wei Cheng sat on the carriage and said softly: "Go back."

Sangsang said in surprise: "You..."

It's so late, is it possible that Wei Cheng still has some entertainment?

"I'll pick you up at the old place early tomorrow morning." After saying this, Wei Cheng lowered the curtain and the carriage left.

She looked at the direction in which the carriage disappeared with a puzzled look on her face. She was in a daze when she was pulled by the redwood tree next to her.

"Miss Cousin, you'd better go back quickly. If you go back late, you may still be gossiped about!"

Sangsang came back to her senses, followed Sequoia through the door, and returned to the small courtyard in a short time.

Sangsang sat in front of the case in confusion, holding her chin in a daze.

"Miss Biao, you have been worried since you came back. What happened?" Luzhi asked curiously.

She shook her head, but she couldn't figure out what Wei Cheng was doing.

"Go get pen, ink, paper and inkstone. I want to draw a few more pictures. It will be of great use tomorrow."

Thinking that today was a fruitful day, Sangsang became even more happy, and she didn't feel tired anymore when she started working.

"Miss Cousin, you have been tired all day today, so you should rest quickly!" Sequoia couldn't help but persuade her.

"I'm not tired!" Sangsang buried himself in the drawing. Thinking of what he saw and heard today, he became more determined to escape.

In this small prison, he looked up and saw only a small world, but the world outside was vast.

She can't stay here forever!
Thinking about it, Sangsang wrote like a god, and in a short time he drew several sketches.

Sequoia and Green Branch looked on, feeling really distressed.

Obviously she is a young lady, but why is Sangsang's life so miserable?
On the willow branches above the moon, the moonlight is like a wash, reflecting on the earth and refracted through the window.Unknowingly, Sangsang fell asleep lying on the table. Sequoia and Luzhi helped Sangsang to the bed to rest.

The two of them turned off the lights, opened the door and walked out.

"You've worked really hard, cousin!" Sequoia couldn't help but sigh.

When I looked up, I saw a shadow in the yard.

After a closer look, it turned out to be a person.

He almost screamed when he saw the man walking slowly from the darkness.

That person was none other than Wei Cheng.

"Small... young master!"

The two of them were in shock, watching Wei Cheng strolling over.

"Has she fallen asleep?" His cold voice was like the wind in the autumn leaves, making people shiver in their hearts.

"Yes!" The two replied respectfully.

"Did you know that Miss Ling Yin was injured?" His deep eyes fell on their faces.

"I don't know..." The two of them said almost in unison.

The two of them had already been prepared to be plotted before, so when Wei Cheng asked, they barely showed any flaws.

Seeing that they answered so neatly and without any trace of panic on their faces, Wei Cheng finally looked away.

"These days, it's not peaceful outside. You must carefully protect your young lady."

Hearing what Wei Cheng said, the two of them answered in unison.

"Yes, sir."

Wei Cheng's eyes fell on the closed door, he turned and left.

Seeing Wei Cheng's leaving figure, Sequoia and Luzhi looked at each other.

Fortunately, the two of them didn't reveal any flaws. If Wei Cheng noticed that Wei Lingyin was beaten by Sangsang, something might happen.

The next day.

Sangsang stretched and got up early.

When Sequoia and Luzhi came to Sangsang's room, they were surprised to find that she had already washed up.

"Miss Cousin, why are you so energetic?"

Yesterday she fell down from exhaustion.

"You've had a good sleep, can you not feel refreshed? Let's eat quickly and go to the dyeing workshop as soon as we're done."

While he was talking, a maid brought a variety of dishes and placed them on the table.

Sangsang took a look and said in shock: "Why are there so many dishes today? And will these meats be too greasy to eat so early in the morning?"

She observed that there was big fish and meat on the table, which was not something she would eat in the morning.

"This is the young master's order. He said that you should eat it obediently, otherwise he will regret his promise to you."

After the maid said this, she stood directly in front of the table and refused to leave.

It seemed that Wei Cheng had ordered her to watch Sangsang finish eating before leaving.

"What?" Sangsang sat down hurriedly, looking at the big fish and meat in front of him and feeling troubled.

She raised her eyes and cast a pleading look at the redwoods and green branches.

The two also said: "Miss Cousin, your body is already weak, and you are too tired these days, so it would be better to take more supplements. We think the young master did the right thing!"

Who do these two people belong to?
Sangsang had no choice but to eat a few bites obediently.

But I really didn’t have much appetite in the morning, so I ate until I was full.

"Okay, go and tell the young master that it's time to go out."

She raised her head and glanced at the maid. After carefully looking at the dishes on the table, the maid turned and left.
