A layman in the courtyard

Chapter 105 Colony

Chapter 105 Colony

After Cao Zhihua and the other two finished counting the things they needed to buy, the lights started to come on outside.

Lou Xiao'e and Chen Xueru looked at the sunset of the same color as the sea and sky outside, and they were unwilling to leave. Cao Zhihua had no choice but to say to the two women:
"Ezi, Xueru, let's go, let's go. From now on, we can watch every day. If we don't go back, our parents won't be able to see us. They will call the police."

Lou Xiao'e and Chen Xueru reluctantly got in the car and went back to Central after Cao Zhihua repeatedly urged them.

The tenement houses in Lou Ban City are located in the middle of Queen's Road. Lan Kwai Fong, the most famous bar street in Hong Kong Island, is also here, not far from the tenement houses.

After dinner, Cao Zhihua became interested and took five people, Lou Xiao'e, Chen Xueru, Liu Xuanwu and Lou En, to go shopping in Lan Kwai Fong and have some drinks.

Lan Kwai Fong is not big, just an L-shaped uphill path.It is a mid-to-high-end consumer area gathering large and small bars and restaurants.

Lou Xiao'e and Chen Xueru were obviously attracted by the various small signs of feasting and entertainment that could not be seen in Sijiucheng, and they felt very excited.

However, Cao Zhihua’s initial impression was “nothing more than that”.Two parallel pedestrian streets, plus a short section of avenue connecting the two pedestrian streets, really cannot compare with the romantic atmosphere imagined.

It doesn't take long to walk through the streets, each street only takes about seven or eight minutes to walk. The bars on both sides of the street have small facades, dim lights, and nothing special in decoration.

However, every two or three steps, you can see one or two "foreigners" standing in the street holding wine glasses and chatting while drinking. There are many foreigners here, mostly white-collar workers, which is also the biggest feature of Lan Kwai Fong.

Therefore, gangsters and bad guys (police) on Hong Kong Island dare not come here to cause trouble. It is regarded as a rare safe area in the entertainment industry on Hong Kong Island.

But Lan Kwai Fong is really lively at night, with groups of young girls wearing miniskirts playing with their thighs exposed.

Cao Zhihua took everyone to a rather fashionable Yinglun-style bar and ordered some beer, some Southeast Asian barbecue, some Japanese snacks, and some peanuts and figs.

We invited everyone to sit at a table and experience the nightlife of Hong Kong Island.

This bar is probably of good quality in the whole of Lan Kwai Fong. The customers inside are mainly white-skinned, and there are also Chinese young people. The overall quality is pretty good, and they are probably mainly white-collar workers working nearby.

Many young Chinese girls were walking around inside, a bit like the little bees in bars in later generations, responsible for warming up the place, or just coming to have fun.

Chen Xueru is a veteran of taverns. She likes to go to taverns to drink when she was in Sijiu City. She was excitedly looking left and right, curiously looking at the entire bar and the streets outside.

"Zhihua, it's so lively here at night, much more lively than Sijiu City."

Cao Zhihua did not dislike Chen Xueru for saying these ignorant words, and replied casually:

"There is no nightlife in Sijiucheng. I just hug my wife and sleep at night. It's nothing like Hong Kong Island. These people have to go to work during the day. They have to think of ways to have fun after making money. There is no time during the day. Isn't this fun only at night?"

Sure enough, Chen Xueru, who knew nothing, was really easy to coax now. Once she heard what Cao Zhihua said made sense, she believed it decisively.

Cao Zhihua picked up the beer cup and said to everyone:

"Come, let's all have a drink and celebrate our new life."

Lou Xiao'e and Chen Xueru raised their glasses happily.

Liu Xuanwu and Lou En looked at Cao Zhihua in embarrassment and said:

"Master, we still have to protect you, so we won't drink. You drink."

"It's okay. Beer has no alcohol content. It's just like drinking water. You guys can have a drink with me. Just have one drink. It won't have any impact."

When Liu Xuanwu and Lou En heard that Cao Zhihua had directly arranged it, they couldn't refuse anymore, so they picked up their wine glasses, clinked them with everyone, and took a sip.

After a while, the sound of saxophone suddenly sounded in the bar. Cao Zhihua and everyone turned around and saw that a long-haired hippie was playing saxophone on the bar stage. Cao Zhihua had never heard the song, but in the atmosphere of the bar, it felt very good. Everyone drank some wine and chatted happily.

"Zhihua, do you know what instrument this is? It sounds so good."

Cao Zhihua looked at Chen Xueru with a headache and said:

"This is a saxophone, a Western musical instrument. It is similar to our suona. It is played with the mouth." Lou Xiao'e was stunned after hearing what Cao Zhihua said, and said with a look of disbelief:

"Isn't it? The sound produced by the suona is not as good as this one. How can it be the same as the suona?"

When it comes to talking nonsense, Cao Zhihua refuses to admit defeat:

"Although the sound of suona is not as nice as this one, they all make sounds by mouth, so why are they different?"

Lou Xiao'e was confused by Cao Zhihua's question. She took a sip of beer and said coquettishly:
"Then it must be different. The voices are different. How can they be the same?"

"Then are they all musical instruments made of copper?"

"Yes."

"Did they all blow hard with their mouths?"

"Yes"

"Can it all be played into a tune?"

"Yes"

"Then tell me what's different?"

Lou Xiao'e was stunned and obviously couldn't answer, but she was still unconvinced and could only take a sip of beer and sit there sulking.

Cao Zhihua and a group of people were having a great time drinking and playing around.

Suddenly in the bar, a group of white men and a group of Chinese young people started fighting.

There was a panic in the bar. When Liu Xuanwu and Lou En saw the situation, they quickly stood up and blocked the entrance and exit of Cao Zhihua's booth to be alert to the surrounding situation.

Cao Zhihua, Lou Xiao'e, and Chen Xueru also stood up and watched the excitement in the booth.

There were three people in the group of white-skinned people, and six people in the group of young Chinese people.

The two gangs fought and cursed for a long time before Cao Zhihua figured out the whole story.

It turned out that when the thick, white-skinned man passed behind the female companion of the Chinese young man, he pinched the female companion's buttocks hard with his hand.

The young Chinese female companion was attacked by Bai Pi. She couldn't bear the force and cried out in pain, and then the two sides started fighting.

The bar owner obviously called the police. The two sides were arguing for less than half an hour. Several foreign policemen came over. After asking about the situation, they detained several Chinese young people and took them away.

Lou Xiao'e was obviously aroused by what was happening in front of her, and said angrily:

"Obviously it was the white man who was wrong. She was the one who harassed the women first. How come the victim was arrested in the end? It's so unreasonable."

Cao Zhihua looked at Lou Xiao'e funny and said nothing.

After a while, Lou Xiao'e couldn't stand the way Cao Zhihua looked at her and said:

"What are you looking at, Stinky Zhihua, did I say something wrong?"

Cao Zhihua thought for a while and replied:

"Ezi, do you know that Hong Kong Island is now a colony of the Great Eagle Kingdom?"
