Chapter 18 Scar and the Elf
"Help! We have been poisoned by corpse poison!" Scar cried out for help.

His voice was extremely hoarse, and his strong limbs became limp and limp. This was the result of the confrontation between the antidote and the corpse poison in his body.

If he could tame a bison before, now he couldn't even catch a ewe. An ordinary person could kill him with a kitchen knife.

The blacksmith Black next to him was even worse. He couldn't stand up if he wasn't supported by Scar.

Hearing the cry for help, a large group of strong mercenaries wearing armor and swords at their waists rushed out of the tent.

"Scar? What happened?!"

Someone immediately took out the antidote and poured it into their mouths.

"With your ability, how could you be poisoned by corpse poison? Did the boat capsize in the sewer?"

"The poisoning is too deep and the antidote is useless! The mage quickly uses purification spells on them!"

"Damn it, I don't know the purification spell! Where is Captain Finn? Go and ask him over! He can save even a person with only one breath left!"

Soon, Captain Finn, as everyone calls him, came over.

He has long golden hair, porcelain-white skin, and a beautiful face like a genderless holy angel.

Wearing a pair of silver exquisite steel armor, with golden wheat ears drawn on it and lines of mysterious purple magic words engraved on it.

Wearing a slender steel sword on his waist, the silver hilt and scabbard also have patterns of golden wheat ears and magic words.

Although his plump muscles and delicate appearance make him appear to be in his early 20s, he is actually a forest elf who is over 60 years old.

More than 40 years of mercenary experience have honed his extremely superb swordsmanship and proficiency in dozens of elven magics.

"It's okay, don't worry."

He stepped forward, stretched out two white and strong palms, and placed them on Scar and the blacksmith.

As he recited a few short bytes in a low voice, a burst of holy golden light surged from the palm of his hand and penetrated into the poisoned bodies of the two people.

In just a few seconds, Scar and Blacksmith's faces looked much better.

After 2 minutes, the corpse poison in the body was purified. Although the two were still a little weak, they were completely out of danger.

"Scar, come with me."

Finn called Scar into his single tent and asked seriously:

"What happened? There shouldn't be any monsters in this peripheral area that could make you so embarrassed. Was it just that you were accidentally injured by a rotting corpse?"

Scar's face looked a little solemn, "The fleas and shit are dead."

Flea and Dog Shit were the nicknames of the two dead scouts.

"I've already guessed it." Finn closed his eyes, his expression a little pitiful and sad.

Scar continued: "When I found the two of them, the flea had completely turned into a carrion and was eating dog poop."

"I chopped off the flea's head with a knife and was not injured, but right after that, the flea's body exploded."

"You mean, explosion?" Finn opened his eyes, his eyes full of doubts.

Scar nodded, "Yes, the blacksmith and I were both injured and infected with corpse poison."

Finn frowned: "But why did the rotting corpse explode? I have never encountered such a situation."

"It's about what killed them."

Scar gritted his teeth and revealed a sinister smile, "The cause of their death was that one was obviously stabbed to death by a spear and a halberd, and I suspect that the other was trampled to death by a horse... no, it could also be trampled to death by a moose."

"And their clothes were all stripped off. Ordinary monsters wouldn't do such a thing."

Even in that case, he still noticed many details and deduced the cause of death of the two people.Finn looked into Scar's eyes and asked, "Do you think the murderer is a human, or a high-level undead from deep in the mountains?"

High-level undead, because they are high-level monsters transformed from humans, can easily be born with a certain amount of wisdom and behave much like humans.

"Although it looks like it was done by a human, my intuition tells me that the murderer is not human." Scar pointed at his head.

Finn nodded, "Well, I believe in your experience, but we have to investigate the scene with other people before we can make a conclusion."

"If it is really a high-level undead that ran out from the depths of the Undead Mountains, then our Eagle Group has nothing to worry about."

He smiled, showing a strong confidence.

"Our hunting target in the Undead Mountains was originally the skeleton general in the deepest part, wasn't it?"

"...long ears, you are right." Scar also showed a fierce smile.

Finn waved his hand and made the final deployment: "I will adjust the early plan. Shield warriors, swordsmen, mages, archers, and priests will form a five-person team to sweep the undead mountains. If we encounter high-level undead again, then Hunt him!"

……

the other side.

"Damn it! Why do I owe Scar and the Eagle Group copper coins?!"

Blacksmith Black, who had to go home to recuperate because of his weak health, kept complaining on his way home.

"I didn't ask Scar to feed me the antidote? Didn't others insist on feeding it to me later?"

"Damn! I didn't catch a single copper coin, but I owed a huge debt, 800 copper coins? When can I pay it off?"

"Scar said before that he couldn't find any intelligent skeleton monster..."

When the blacksmith saw the closed door of the neighbor's boy, he became even more upset.

"Bastard Philip! You keep the door tightly closed during the day just to prevent me from going in to collect debts!"

He walked to the boy's door, kicked it open and walked in.

Then he grabbed the frightened Phillip and beat him hard with his fists.

Ten minutes later, Philip was left with bruises all over his body. The blacksmith threatened him fiercely: "After a few days, the swelling on your body subsides, then you can go and please Captain Wolf of the Eagle Regiment. Do you understand?"

Captain Wolf has the same status as Captain Finn in the Eagles.

It was a female wolf orc with a body as strong as steel, a breast bigger than her head, and a wild and bloodthirsty personality.

After blacksmith Blake's inquiries and observations over the past few days, it turns out that the rough-mannered female orc would like a weak little boy like Philip.

As long as he can please a captain, isn't the debt on him easy?
Thinking of this, Blake felt that his future was bright again, and he left happily.

"Bastard, bastard Blake..."

After blacksmith Blake left, Phillip lying on the ground couldn't help but tremble.

He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, almost biting his teeth with hatred!

"Power! I must get power!"

There were extremely dark emotions surging in his eyes.

He stood up, took out the scissors from the room, and cut his wrist hard, causing a large amount of blood to flow out.

"Try to summon one last time, otherwise, even if it means sacrificing the soul... I must get a powerful undead!"
