Chapter 62 Prison
February 2, Interstate 9.

Glenn's team is exploring along the road. They are currently stationed in the temporary camp at Hershel Farm. Over the past few months, they have searched for dozens of survivors and many supplies for the Umbrella Company.

Several nearby towns have been plundered by them, and there are almost no resources available. Now they can only explore more peripheral areas.

Glenn was driving a modified pickup truck slowly along the road. In his passenger seat, a girl named Judy was carefully observing the map in her hand.

The girl bit a pencil and drew dots on the old map in her hand. She suddenly pointed to a place on the map and said to Glenn:

"Captain, although there is no sign here on the map, I talked to a survivor near here and he said that there is a prison here and his cousin was once imprisoned here."

"It's a prison. Maybe there are survivors inside. Should we go and take a look."

After hearing this, Glenn looked at the map for a few seconds, but was nipped lightly on the ear by the girl mischievously.

"Let me check the location first. Is it far away from us?"

The Korean boy trembled all over and retracted his neck suddenly. A faint blush appeared on his cheeks in the girl's silvery laughter.

He coughed lightly, pretended to be calm and maintained his dignity as the captain, and said:
"Judy, Mr. Custer told us that searching for survivors is our first priority."

"Since there may be survivors there and the distance is not too far, let's go take a look."

The girl Judy quickly kissed Glenn on the face, picked up the walkie-talkie, and said in a brisk voice:
"Members of Team Glenn, please pay attention. The captain has determined today's destination. Please stay alert, keep up with our cars, and pay attention to safety."

Judy told the story three times in a row. Amid the responses from other members, their convoy began to set off to a certain prison location according to the map's instructions.

An hour later, Glenn's motorcade arrived at the expected location.

This is a small prison located in the forest. It has a large yard. The main body is surrounded by concrete walls and metal mesh. The overall scope is not large. Judging from its size, it could only hold a few hundred prisoners at most in the past.

Seeing the zombies in the prison wandering aimlessly in the yard, Judy sighed in a depressed mood and whispered to Glenn beside her:
"Captain, these zombies have been wandering inside for so long and no one has cleaned them up. It seems difficult for the people inside to survive."

"Do we still need to clean up the zombies inside?"

Glenn did not answer immediately. He took out a telescope from the driver's seat and observed the prison carefully for a few minutes. Suddenly he raised his hand and touched Judy's short blond hair, turned to all the team members and said:
"Brothers, this prison is a very good camp. It has a natural protective net and concealment. We can use the metal net around the prison to easily kill all the zombies inside."

"If we clear out the zombies here, we can get a safe and hidden stronghold, which will make our nearby search mission easier."

This young man, who had gradually lost his childishness, looked back at his more than 20 team members with firm eyes and said:
"The goal of our Umbrella Company is to save humanity and save more survivors. Even if we don't need this prison in the future, this natural camp will definitely bring more safety and protection to future survivors. .”

"Then now, let us kill all the monsters inside."

"Take this place back into human hands."

Most of the young team members agreed with captain Glenn's words with excitement, and were full of energy. Several of the more mature team members sighed in their hearts when they met a second-level captain, and took the initiative to take on the role of those who were more mature. Dangerous location.

After working together for several months, they have recognized Glenn from the bottom of their hearts as a brave and kind captain.

The number of zombies in the prison probably exceeds four hundred, and most of them are scattered in the yard outside the cells. More than 20 heavily armed and experienced security force members, led by captain Glenn, relied on the metal mesh outside the prison to keep the zombies out of the fence.

They used the sharp bayonets and silenced pistols in their hands to seduce the zombies outside the yard bit by bit, evenly luring these brainless zombies around the metal mesh, using the holes in the metal mesh, and using bayonets to cleanly destroy their brain.

Once their numbers become too dense, Glenn and others will switch to silenced pistols to quickly clear them out.

Facts have proved that the metal mesh wall is really suitable for killing these monsters. Once they are crowded on the metal mesh, they will become fish meat on the chopping board. Even teenagers and girls of twelve or thirteen years old can use sharp tools to kill them easily. Take away their lives.

There was no surprise. Glenn and others used this method to clean up the more than 300 zombies in the yard quite easily.

After a short rest, Glenn led a few of the most agile team members to inspect all the areas in the prison except the cells, and lured out all the zombies hiding in various corners.

After these two rounds of meticulous cleaning, Team Glenn occupied all the areas except the cell without much effort.

Even among the zombies were the most threatening prison guard zombies wearing protective suits. When faced with assault rifle attacks, after a few rounds of bullets, they turned into real corpses without any resistance.

Soon, only the cell was left in the entire prison. Judy opened the door of the cell, looked inside, and said with a serious expression:
"Captain, the light in the cell is severely insufficient. If we enter rashly, we may be attacked by zombies hiding in the corner."

"The lighting problem has to be solved."

Glenn nodded and said with a smile:

"I have thought of it a long time ago. Have you forgotten the new invention in the base?"

Under the curious eyes of the team members, he and a team member took out an oval metal device with wheels that looked like a turtle from the car, placed it in front of the cell door, and then took out an oval metal device with wheels from the car. The remote control device of the computer display said to the team members:
"This is the latest armed mechanical dog invented by the Engineering Department. It is said that Professor Amlin modified it from those semi-finished armed drones."

"Without the ability to fly, it can only rely on wheels to move on flat ground."

He pointed to the three wheels at the bottom of the mechanical dog, and then pointed to the muzzle, audio and internal camera on the mechanical dog's body.

"It's like a remote-controlled car equipped with a weapon system."

"We don't need to go in. We just need to send this mechanical dog in to make a big fuss and draw out all the zombies inside."

"This thing has a pure steel shell, a bullet capacity of [-] rounds, and can also use a voice system and a lighting system."

"In terms of combat power alone, it might be a little stronger than us ordinary people."

Glenn rubbed his palms on his body and said with excitement on his face:
"This is the No. [-] test machine. Mr. Custer asked us to test it a few more times and collect experimental data."

"Whenever you encounter a dangerous place in the future, let this thing take the lead."

"Just guard the door of the cell and don't let the zombies escape."

"I'll give it a try to see if this thing works."
