Chapter 284 Dumbledore’s Countermeasures

"Lily..."

Snape's eyes were blank. His body had calmed down, but his mind had not.

The scene of that night struck me like a bone-gnawing spell.

The corpse, the child's cry, and the lifeless Lily refused to close her eyes, as if asking him why he came now.

Dumbledore held Snape's trembling shoulders and stayed with him without speaking.

After a while, Snape rubbed his red eyes and his expression became frozen again, "Dumbledore, we need to know who put the curse on little Malfoy."

Dumbledore nodded and continued: "I will take good care of Harry, you don't have to worry."

Snape stared at Dumbledore, his lips moved, and finally turned to look at the door of the school doctor's office and said:

"I will wait for Madam Pomfrey while you go do other things, there is no need for two people here."

"Please, Severus." Dumbledore waved away the barrier around them and left in a hurry.

As Snape said, he was not needed here.

Voldemort is cunning, and if he were still at Hogwarts, only those most familiar with the school would be able to find him.

Dumbledore took out his wand.

This wand is very special. Its body is gray-white, with human-like joints, and its surface is the same as the wrinkled skin of an old man.

Made of elder wood, 15 inches long, the core is the tail feather of a thestral.

It can enhance almost any spell, but it is loyal to no one person, and only those who can control death can truly master it.

This is one of the legendary Deathly Hallows, the Elder Wand.

"Fawkes!" As Dumbledore called, a fiery red phoenix roared and flew to Dumbledore's side.

"Old friend, our old enemy is back." Dumbledore stroked Phoenix's pretty head feathers and said seriously:
"Go to the highest point of the castle and guard the outside. If Voldemort appears, tell me."

Fox gently rubbed Dumbledore's palm, his body turned into a rainbow light, and with just one breath, he reached the tip of the forty-meter-high castle.

Its head shook from side to side, and no disturbance could escape its sharp gaze.

Dumbledore took a deep breath, held the Elder Wand, and walked straight towards the classroom where Harry was.

Voldemort was his former student, and Dumbledore knew exactly what he wanted to do.

This child, who was born imprisoned by low self-esteem, would never tolerate the child who stepped on him and caused a sensation in the wizarding world to still be alive in the world.

Voldemort's target must be Harry, definitely.

……

Professor McGonagall stood at the door of the classroom, listening to the movement inside the door while calming her breathing.

The active voices of the little wizards made her sigh in relief, and Mag loosened her palms to allow the sweat stains on the wand to evaporate as quickly as possible.

It's great that nothing happened in the classroom. Professor McGonagall thought happily.

So, she opened the door...

The real noise was like a big slap from two adults, violently hitting Mag's eardrums.

Her mouth opened subconsciously and her eyes widened.

There are not only little wizards in the classroom, but also insects and owls flying around, and even disabled lions and headless snakes.

Paji.

By accident, a toad that jumped out of nowhere was crushed.

"Oh no! My Leif!" Neville, who looked stupid, covered his ears and knelt on the ground, trying to alleviate the whining attack of the toad at Mag's feet.

"Harry, help! I can't lose this!"

"Calm down, Neville!" Harry hurriedly helped Neville up and stretched his hand towards McGonagall's feet.

The toad, which had collapsed into a pancake, became a puddle of buttons.

"You did it with Transfiguration, Neville. Pets are not allowed in the classroom. Your Leif should still be in the dormitory. Have you forgotten?"

Neville tilted his head, and the owl on the table next to him tilted his head as if he had discovered his alien counterpart.

Two pairs of big eyes flashed with clear light at the same time.

"Oh, I have to think about it, Harry. I was really frightened and can't think of anything now."

Several young wizards at the back of the classroom couldn't help but chuckle when they saw Neville's performance. Although they didn't say anything, Neville blushed and almost buried his head in his shoulders.

Harry glared at them fiercely, and the snickering little wizards immediately became serious.

Professor McGonagall casually restored several small animals with no eyes that tried to attack her into buttons.

Then she looked at Harry and smiled proudly.

There is no doubt that the living creatures in this classroom are the result of Harry's teachings.

The progress of the little wizards is even catching up with the second graders.

Harry is indeed a person who knows how to teach.

Unlike ordinary teachers, Harry is good at guiding others, especially stimulating the emotions required for different spells in wizards.

That's why Hermione quickly mastered the fourth-year spells, many of which were attributed to Harry.

"Okay, students." Mag came back to the desk and said loudly: "Now, everyone returns to their seats."

She drew a circle in front of her with her wand, and a blue-white ripple spread quickly around the classroom.

Wherever the ripples passed, all the creations of the Transfiguration spell returned to the shape of buttons.

The range version of the curse is still used by one person.

Harry's eyes lit up. Although Professor McGonagall had a far greater advantage in magical power than the little wizard, not everyone could use this kind of ranged spell.

The little wizards looked at the suddenly quiet classroom with some confusion, and the sound of buttons falling kept coming to their ears. This sound was exactly the same as the sound of their own hearts breaking.

Many little wizards couldn't help but groan in dissatisfaction, but were immediately stared back by Professor McGonagall.

"You did a great job in this Transfiguration course!"

"However, because I haven't seen it with my own eyes, I can't add points to your academy now."

"So, in order for your respective colleges to get excellent scores at the end of the semester, I need each of you to write an essay on the art of transfiguration that is no less than 10 inches long."

The young wizards, represented by Ron, Crabbe, and Goyle, fell on the desk one after another, as if they had been fatally attacked.

Professor McGonagall glared at these 'practical' little wizards again, and then said:

"If your essays are better, I will give your college more points. Do you understand?"

The young wizards, with Hermione as the typical 'theoretical' group, immediately cheered. Of course, except for Hermione, almost all of them were Ravenclaws.

Professor McGonagall naturally cast admiring glances at them.

"Minerva!" Dumbledore slowed down and steadied his breathing before entering the door, "I'm sorry to bother you."

"Albus." Professor McGonagall realized something and quickly walked to Dumbledore and asked in a low voice: "Is there any news from Madam Pomfrey?"

Dumbledore shook his head slightly, then moved his lips slightly and said, "Severus is there, but we have surmised something."

"So, I'm going to audit all of today's classes."

"You mean, the attacker is still in Hogwarts?" Professor McGonagall's pupils twitched. She glanced around the classroom guiltily and found that the young wizards were paying attention to the new Dumbledore before continuing. :

"Will it be an intruder at the beginning of school?"

"It's more serious than that, Minerva." Dumbledore said solemnly: "I need you to take care of some senior students, and also let the ghosts patrol the inside of Hogwarts all the time."

He stopped McGonagall from asking anything with his eyes, and said seriously: "I will tell you everything when we patrol at night, Minerva."

"Understood, I'll go right away." After Professor McGonagall finished speaking, she picked up her skirt and left quickly.

Dumbledore put a smile on his face, looked at Harry and the other little wizards, and said, "Students, I will take you to every class."

"I just heard what Professor McGonagall said. It seems that you like to add points to your college."

"It's a great sense of collective honor, so whenever someone can answer the teacher's questions in class, I will give him extra points!"

After Dumbledore finished speaking, he pretended to be thief and winked at the little wizards, and then said: "And, there are also small gifts that I personally prepared."

"Oh!!!" The little wizards cheered immediately, and only Hermione looked at Dumbledore with suspicion.

"Something must have happened to Malfoy." Harry whispered: "However, with the world's greatest white wizard with us, the attacker may not be able to do anything to us."

Except for Mr. Russell, Harry finally thought silently in his mind.

Hermione nodded in agreement, then picked up the book and followed Dumbledore to the next classroom.
