Quenched long order

Chapter 11 Awakening

Chapter 11 Awakening
Saul opened his heavy eyes, and he found that he was still lying on the ground, and the surrounding light was dim.

Did I wake up from the mine again?
He thought to himself, and raised his head at the same time, looking along the only light source with puzzled eyes, but a familiar face was imprinted in his eyes.

"Are you awake?" The mystic looked down at Saul with a smile in his eyes.

Saul shook his head vigorously to make himself more awake. He put his hands on the ground and tried to get up. Because of the exhaustion of his whole body, he tried twice before he succeeded. During this period, the mystic kept staring at Saul, but he did not provide any help, not even verbal encouragement.

After standing up with difficulty, Sauer supported the square table with his left hand, and the things that happened before he passed out came to mind one by one. He licked his lips and found a small amount of delicious soup on his lips.

"How long have I been in a coma?" Saul took a deep breath, and there was a sharp pain in his chest. He couldn't help bending over, and covered his chest with his right hand, but the pain came and went quickly, and disappeared without a trace after a few short breaths.

Hearing Sauer's question, the mystic raised his head and looked at the candlelight above his head, and replied in a lazy tone: "Well... about... a day?"

"One day?" Saul frowned, stepped back half a step, looked at the mystic with suspicion, and then glanced at the candle above, "Just one day? Such a coincidence?"

Seeing Saul's reaction, the smile on the mystic's face became even more obvious. She shook her head and said, "A few minutes." After finishing speaking, before Saul could speak, she stood up and walked to the back of the thin curtain. Immediately afterwards, there was a ping-pong-pong sound, as if she was rummaging for something, "I found it." As soon as the words fell, the mystic came back again.

Saul took a few steps back, walked to the curtain of the purple tent, and looked at the mystic with cautious eyes.

"Here you are." The mystic threw out the object in his hand.

Shaoer subconsciously stretched out his left hand to grab it. He found that he had grabbed a thin rope. He put the object in his hand in front of his eyes and observed carefully. Under the black thin rope, there was an iron ring the size of an index finger. Under the iron ring was a brass diamond-shaped amulet. In the middle of the amulet was engraved a pattern of an elk with its head bowed.

Suddenly, the elk raised its head and looked in the direction where Saul was.

Saul quickly took the amulet away, "What's the use of this thing?"

"Nachalu Talisman." The mystic pointed to the Talisman in Shaoer's hand, "It can help you temporarily resist the pollution in the mine, but the effect is not as good as the specially made psychic lamp. It can only be used as an emergency." At this point, she looked down at the banknotes on the square table, raised her left hand, and put it down after slightly rubbing her index finger and thumb. Rush to save your friend, that's all for today, I hope you will bring me some good news when you come next time."

Saul breathed a sigh of relief, and glanced at the amulet in his hand again. He unwrapped the black string of the amulet and was about to wear it around his neck. However, when his hand was raised above his head, he stopped this action.

"Thank you."

He held the amulet forward, and put the amulet in his pocket after speaking.

The mystic waved his hands and looked at Saul with meaningful eyes.

"I'll let you know as soon as I find out." After finishing speaking, Saul opened the curtain of the purple tent and walked out.

When Sauer left, the mystic turned his head and whispered to the intact crystal ball: "The Nacharu Amulet can not only resist the pollution of the mine, but also provide me with the location of the wearer. Did he notice something? Or is it just his personality?"

Outside the purple tent, the light was dim. Saul looked around, but he didn’t see Regis and Kerry. He looked back at the purple tent, and he was still afraid. He was unconscious in front of a stranger just now. Even though the mystic helped him, he was still a stranger in essence. This was different from Garland, because Garland and “Saul” still had a friend relationship.

Sauer walked towards the exit inside the trading market. Instead of becoming deserted after nightfall, the trading market became more lively than before. There were even two more guards guarding the market. As soon as he walked out of the door, he saw Regis waiting for someone.

When Regis saw Saul, he twitched his mouth, and then asked in a slightly mocking tone: "It seems that you have a good relationship with that mystic? When did you meet?" At this point, he sneered, shook his head and said, "I really didn't realize that you are usually taciturn, but you still have such a relationship."

Facing Regis' cynicism, Saul was not angry, he knew the reason for Regis' bad tone.

The whole thing is actually very easy to understand. Garland asked him to ask Regis for help, but Regis failed to help. Instead, it was Sauer himself who really helped. This also means that if Garland, the core of the four-member team, had an accident, then the person who took over Garland's right to speak would be Sauer, not Regis.

He thought for a while, ignored Regis' sarcasm, and asked another question that he thought was more important, "Where did you go just now?"

"Just now?" Regis curled his lips, crossed his hands on his chest, "Haven't I been with you all the time?"

"When in the boxing ring." Sauer pointed out the key location.

Regis thought for a while, put the index finger and thumb of his right hand on the eyebrows and pinched them vigorously, and replied in a slightly apologetic tone: "Saul, I'm sorry, I was bargaining with that...that guy at the time, and I didn't even notice it was you. I thought it was some unlucky guy." At this point, he took a deep breath, took a step back, and at the same time looked Saul up and down. I hope she won’t break her promise. I just asked, that mystic is not a simple person, poor miners like us, she usually drives out directly, I’m worried that she has another purpose.”

"Really?" Saul smiled, "How much did you bet?" He took a step forward, his nose almost touching Regis's hooked nose.

Regis didn't meet Saul's eyes, his eyes rolled, and then replied in an exaggerated tone: "What... what? How much did you bet?" He took two steps back, pointing at himself with his right hand, "Sauer, do you think I'm that kind of person? I... I'll bet on your life? Are you kidding me, Saul, your words really hurt me." At this point, he put his right hand on his chest, with a heartache expression on his face, "I will never do such a thing, I swear, If—" He raised his right hand and was about to swear, but his words were interrupted by another young voice.

"What are you talking about?" Kerry looked at the two curiously, holding a gray seabird and a yellow croaker in his hands.

Seeing Kerry, Regis seemed to have seen a savior. He immediately ran behind Kerry and asked in a very concerned tone: "Is the shopping done? Let's go back, maybe Garland is already waiting for us."

Saul crossed his hands on his chest, raised his right eyebrow, and looked at Regis, who was jumping up and down beside Kerry, with a look of "watching your show".
