Chapter 31 Green Understands Me

Chapter 31 Green Understands Me
Green hesitated.

For the development of strength, Green, who understands the plot, chooses to temporarily join Queen Cersei's camp based on his own actual interests.

Sure enough, no matter how big or small, King's Landing has never happened for no reason.

Destroying the relationship between the king and the queen, the hidden promoter behind this has considerable ambitions. Before the plot officially started, the chess players had already been undercurrents.

Those who can benefit from this kind of thing have proved their own strength. They are real players in the game of power, or a group of players formed for their own ambitions.

Green guessed the most likely families.

........................

Green deliberately showed an evasive look, and ordered Monton to serve himself a plate of stew.

Green shyly avoided James's staring eyes on him.

Monton put a piece of meat on the plate and handed it to Green as if offering a treasure.

Green chewed the mutton, lowered his eyes slightly to enjoy the tenderness of the stew, and the exhaustion from working for more than ten hours seemed to be swept away in an instant.

James could feel that Green had noticed something, and wanted to continue to ask, but Green was obviously avoiding it.

Seeing how delicious Green's food was, James was a little annoyed: "Little savage, do you eat by yourself? Don't you entertain guests?"

Green seemed surprised, swallowed the food in his mouth, and said, "Do Lannisters also eat lamb stew?"

James laughed angrily: "Then what do you think, do Lannisters eat gold?"

Green raised his face and smiled, and ordered Monton to quickly offer food to Sir James.

After getting the food, James changed his usual demeanor and took a big bite of the stew, chewing it in his mouth.

James was a little surprised to see that the mediocre stew was better than expected.

After eating for a while, James said, "Baron Green, it's obvious that I'm not sharp enough. If you guess something, I hope you can tell me the truth. I can even keep it a secret from Cersei. I owe you a favor, and Lannisters must pay their debts!"

Green's ears moved, as if he had hallucinated the sound of golden dragons colliding.

Green paused for a while, with a complex expression on his face, and sighed slightly: "Soldier Monton, take the meat and watch around, don't let anything come near here."

anything? The clever Monton understood Green's order at once, quickly packed a pile of meat, got up and left, called the guards in the distance, and set up a warning range.

Green lifted the chair and placed it closer to James's position, and sat down again: "Sir James, I feel the huge black net covering Her Royal Highness the Queen. It has already touched the top of Her Royal Highness Cersei, but it seems to be hidden in the dark night, undetectable, but it is still working."

James' pupils shrank, and the fog that James hadn't noticed before was broken by Green.

Green's words used a lot of descriptions without specific directions, but James thought of many things, including the more intense quarrels between Robert and Cersei.

James stared at Green and asked, "Have you guessed who it is? What is their purpose?"

Green did not avoid James' gaze: "Let's not say who it is, the purpose is actually easy to guess."

Green paused, and continued: "Replace Your Highness Cersei."

With a bounce of James' body, he stood up suddenly, the veins on the back of the hand holding the sword hilt were pulsating, and he was full of murderous aura.

James, who was angry, was conflicted again. If Cersei is not the queen, can I take her to leave King's Landing and return to Casterly Rock.

Green saw the tangled anger on James' face, and secretly despised the knight's innocence.

Green couldn't remind directly, as if he didn't see the change on James' face, he said: "Sir James, only a physical death, or a huge stain on reputation, can a new queen appear legally."

James' anger disappeared instantly, and his heart trembled violently.

Reluctantly, James sat back in the chair. Seeing that Green's expression was only serious, and he didn't notice his abnormality, he let go of the panic in his heart and breathed a sigh of relief.

James needed to speak to relieve the frenzied heartbeat at that moment: "Baron Green, your guess is probably right, especially this year I always feel that many things have become unclear and awkward. Your analysis made me understand a lot."

As he said that, because of Green's keen sense of smell, James actually felt a little jealous. This result made James feel funny.

With a purpose that he didn't even know, James suddenly said: "I'm too negligent, Cersei is in danger, but I...I'm sorry for her..."

Green's heart moved, but his expression remained calm. Instead, he comforted: "Although Her Highness Cersei is the queen, to you, Her Highness Cersei is your family first."

"Because of your love for your family, you are always inside the house, and the small changes outside the house are difficult to detect. In contrast, people like me who are already outside the house are more likely to notice the strangeness."

"Sir James, the person Her Highness Cersei trusts the most will always be you. Things have not gotten out of hand. You hold a sharp knife, and a sharp sword can cut through darkness."

Green's voice was unhurried and immature, but it was calm enough and had a reassuring power.

From Green's eyes looking at him, James felt a trace of reverence in addition to concern and trust.

James is the Kingsguard who represents the strongest knight in Westeros. It is not surprising that Green will have reverence for him, but his favor for Green has increased a lot.

James had a prejudice against Green before he met. After hearing Tyrion's suggestion later, he ignored Tyrion's appreciation for Green, but the prejudice was even deeper.

He didn't know, and he didn't know about Tyrion's suggestion. I was prejudiced first.

Jaime remembered Tyrion's words of praise for Grimm.

As the Kingsguard, James felt ashamed in his heart because of his previous prejudice against Green.

He is honest in his heart, he actually understands me very well!
