Master of Spells from Faerun

Chapter 50 Night Attack

Chapter 50 Night Attack
"Next, we're going to transport the corpse back to the morgue. We'll find a senior priest from the temple. I need them to talk to the dead to help me find out the truth." The chunky mage said to the city guard before leaving.

Imrik heard the movement in his heart, and volunteered at this time: "I'm a part-time priest, let me come."

The chunky mage glanced at Imrik unexpectedly, but he didn't think much about it. There are many professionals in Faerun Continent who work part-time in other professions. The advantage of doing this is that they can get more comprehensive spell tables and stronger talents, but as a price, their advancement is much slower than their peers.

The city guard smiled and said, "That's great, I saved a lot of money for those priests."

The three came to the corpse, and Imrik stood in front of the dwarf's corpse, chanting a spell.

"Dead talk!"

This powerful three-ring magical technique pulled the subject's soul back from the underworld without a sound, and the dwarf's body stood up all of a sudden, looking at the caster with dull eyes.

"Ask five questions," Imrik said to the City Watch.

The city guard stepped forward and asked, "Who do you work for?"

"Dahart Unember." The corpse replied dully.

"What are you here for today?"

"Meet Imrik Saul, and give him the Stone of Gorol."

Imrik raised his eyebrows. He was skeptical, but he didn't expect that the other party would actually bring the artifact from this treasure location to him, and he didn't know why.

"What is the Stone of Gorol? Why did you give it to Imrik?" The city guard frowned and asked two questions in a row.

"Gorol's Stone can lead people to find a treasure, and it was given to Imrik because the owner believed that Mr. Imrik had saved Reina, and he trusted it. The current situation is too dangerous to keep this stone, and he wants to hand it over to him for safekeeping."

"The last question, why is it too dangerous?"

"Because I stole this stone from the Sannatha Guild, and they are now joining forces with the Zhentarim to hunt me down to get it back."

After answering, the corpse immediately closed its eyes and lay back on the ground.

"However, we didn't find this stone at the scene," the chunky mage thought.

"It has probably been taken away by the murderer." The city guard asserted.

Immediately afterwards, they used the magic spell of talking with the dead to question the corpses of the two pursuers in succession, and found that they both worked for a man named Ustur Vrochin and were now living in Grahand's mansion.

"Ustur, so it's him." The city guard suddenly realized.

Imrik asked curiously, "Who is this?"

"He was originally an assassin from the Zhentarim Society, but he defected some time ago, causing a lot of public opinion in the underground world. Many people are looking forward to cutting off his head to receive the bounty from the Zhentarim Society." The chunky mage said beside him.

Imrik's heart moved. It seems that this is a third-party force. Is it just a fool or something else?
"Thank you for your help, Mr. Mage, let's leave it to our city guards." The chubby mage said.

Seeing the backs of the two leaving, the black-robed mage smiled. He didn't intend to let the city guards find the Goroll Stone.

Late at night, Grahand House.

Imrik flew high above the sky of the mansion. He looked down and observed it, and wiped his face with his hand, and his whole body turned into an ordinary public face.

A ring of magic - magic disguise.

Immediately afterwards, he blessed himself with the invisibility technique, and flew to the ground of the mansion.

This luxurious manor has a huge atrium garden, and there is a guard room not far from where Imrik falls. Two guards holding long swords are guarding the gate of the villa behind them.

The black-robed mage walked towards the guard room lightly, and stood in front of the two guards. The invisibility technique made it impossible for them to see a person standing in front of them.

He pointed a finger at the two of them, a dazzling silver light erupted from his eyes, and the strong manifest energy fluctuation made the invisibility technique invalid. When the two guards saw a man in black robe suddenly appearing in front of them, they were about to shout when a storm of spiritual energy swept towards them.

The powerful power of the psychic blast invested with 35 points completely smashed the brains of the two guards into a paste, and blood gushed out from the five holes and fell to the ground.

Imrik cast invisibility again, stepped over the corpse, opened the door quietly, and walked in.

A servant who was cleaning in the middle of the night saw the door opened inexplicably, and thought it was blown by the wind, so he came over and wanted to close the door.

When he suddenly saw the corpses of the two guards who died tragically at the door, he was so frightened that he opened his mouth and wanted to scream.

How could Imrik, who was standing by the side, make him wish? With a thought, the magical substance extracted from the distant star world turned into strands of silvery white silk threads and quickly wrapped the other party into a cocoon, leaving only a pair of eyes outside.

Imrik showed his figure, and put his fingers lightly on his mouth: "Shh, I ask you to answer, I promise you will not end up with these two corpses."

The servant wrapped in the ectoplasmic cocoon blinked, and Imrik pulled the ectoplasm away from his mouth in satisfaction.

"Tell me, is Ustur here?" Imrik asked softly.

"Yes, yes, Master Mage, don't kill me, I will tell you everything you want to know!" The servant said anxiously.

"I won't kill you, instead, take me to find Ustur, and I will give you a gold coin as a reward." Imrik took out a gold coin.

The servant quickly nodded in agreement, and Imrik snapped his fingers, and the ectoplasmic cocoon on his body instantly turned into light and dissipated in the air.

The liberated servant led Imrik around for a long time, and finally came to a corridor.

"Master Master, the first room you walk forward is his room." The servant whispered.

Imrik nodded, threw a gold coin to the servant, and said to him, "Be smart and pretend you haven't seen me. I don't want to kill."

The servant hurriedly nodded frantically like a chicken pecking rice, and then fled away like flying.

In the room, a big man in his 40s was sleeping soundly, and the door of the room was opened inexplicably without sound.

Imrik walked towards him gently, and suddenly, the big man pulled out a dagger from under the pillow, jumped up from the bed, and rushed towards Imrik.

Imrik smiled lightly, raised his finger, and a burst of invisible psionic energy erupted in a cone shape from in front of him. In order not to kill the opponent, Imrik released an unenhanced psionic blast.

But even so, the man without the slightest supernatural resistance was knocked to the ground by the powerful manifestation, and the mental power like a storm destroyed the man's will like a fool.

Seeing that the man was held in place by the force of the psychic explosion and unable to move, Imrik raised his hand and clenched his fist, and a burst of invisible and powerful thoughts lifted the man's body into the sky.

The third-level ability-the power of telekinetic control.

Imrik's 35-point power point increase can lift an object of 1125 pounds, and it is easy to lift the opponent.

He hooked his hands, and the invisible force of thought moved the man in front of the mage.

After a long time, the man finally came back to his senses, struggling in the air with a painful expression on his face, but being lifted in the air without any strength, he could only kick around.

"Stop struggling, tell me, where is the Stone of Gorol?" the mage asked indifferently.
