Chapter 9 It Doesn't Matter, I Will Be Responsible
After walking to the conference room on the fifth floor of the building, the soldiers performed the eagle salute and stood aside, while Qin Mo pushed the door and entered.

Gray and the officers above the rank of the 47th Regiment sat on the ground, their eyes caught by the sound of the door opening.

When he saw Qin Mo walk in and sit down, the group leader said to everyone, "Let's start the meeting."

Everyone nodded.

Then the team leader introduced himself to Qin Mo: "Klein."

"Qin Mo."

"What should we do next?"

After introducing himself, the team leader immediately asked questions, and Qin Mo was caught off guard.

Seeing that everyone was looking at him, Qin Mo lowered his head and pondered.

In order to provide Qin Mo with more reference conditions, the head of the group, Klein, began to describe the situation he knew now.

"The information provided above shows that there are only 3 rebels in the Bottom Nest, and we dispatched 17 people into the Bottom Nest, which obviously has an advantage."

"But the rebel army actually has 30 people, and has even established an industrial zone in Bottom Nest. They can be self-sufficient."

"Three days ago, our battle line was defeated within one day. The Marshal and all the high-level officials around him were assassinated. Fortunately, he had already sensed something was wrong before he died, and ordered 5 people to build a defensive position in the name of establishing a supply base."

After a rough talk, Klein closed his mouth.

"Continue," Qin Mo said.

"Of course I should continue, but what you don't know, I can focus on it." Klein nodded.

"I don't know anything about it." Qin Mo raised his head and looked at Klein. "I'm neither the regiment commander nor an officer. I'm just a top soldier of the 44th regiment. I foolishly entered the bottom nest and then foolishly built fortifications. I don't even know why the higher-ups built defensive positions when carrying out the offensive plan."

"Uh, okay." Klein nodded vigorously, telling all the things he knew without any reservations.

Then Qin Mo understood the current situation.

Communication is interrupted.

Except for the [-] soldiers who were ordered by the marshal to establish a defensive position, the other troops that continued to implement the offensive plan could be judged to be completely wiped out.

Up to now, no one knows where the defensive position has been breached, and where the defensive position is still remaining, and they are completely unable to communicate with each other.

That is to say, the most pessimistic but reasonable guess is that every other defensive position except this building may have been breached by now.

Unless someone can prove that other positions still exist.

In the end, Klein gave an order that only the regiment-level officers knew, that is, if the attack plan fails, the only passage from the bottom nest to the bottom nest will be blown up.

"Who gave the order to attack?" Gray was extremely angry. "This is simply a fraud! I have reason to suspect that the higher-ups of the hive capital want us to die!"

"My family is in the upper nest, but as far as I know, the attack plan was planned and executed by the marshal himself." Klein replied helplessly.

"I think the most pessimistic situation is not that there is no one else but us, but that the entire hive has been controlled by the rebels!"

"maybe……"

"My lord, how could there be such a big error in the information?"

"..."

"Enough!" Qin Mo raised his hand to stop, "The most important thing for us now is not to discuss whose fault the attack plan is, but how we should survive, and take revenge on those idiots after we get out alive!"

Hearing this, Gray put away the words he wanted to swear, and nodded his approval.

Qin Mo turned to look at Klein: "Did the upper echelons of the army send you a battle plan? For example, a map with various defensive positions drawn, or something else."

Klein took out a map and handed it to Qin Mo without hesitation.

Qin Mo spread out the map and checked the positions near the 47th Infantry Regiment.

There is a position [-] kilometers due east, which is guarded by two regiments.

There is a position fifty kilometers due west, which is garrisoned by four regiments.

The rest is at least one or two hundred kilometers away.

Before crossing, Qin Mo couldn't intuitively feel the size of the hive capital, but now he can feel it.

"If we want to survive, we must first resist the offensive of the rebels." Qin Mo raised his hand and swiped across all the positions, "We need to confirm which positions on the defense line still exist and which ones have been breached. If there are too many breaches, we have to retreat and re-establish the defense line. Otherwise, continue to defend."

"What's the point of continuing to defend? Can we wait for reinforcements?" Klein asked.

"We can't wait for reinforcements, but I can guarantee that as long as you give me enough time, I can increase our combat effectiveness exponentially." Qin Mo replied.

At this time, Klein's eyes drifted to Gray and the other four survivors from the 44th Regiment. They were all carrying a metal backpack. This may be the reason why they were able to escape the hail of bullets like no one else.

Therefore, Klein has every reason to believe in Qin Mo's promise, and he nodded in agreement: "I agree, please tell me about your order."

"Okay, we, we..." Qin Mo hesitated, and then asked, "Why did you act like my subordinate from the beginning to the end?"

Klein gave Qin Mo a strange feeling. He was very different from Bull. This guy actually took the initiative to show an attitude of willingness to obey orders instead of ensuring his own command.

"Because I want to live. I don't care who is in charge. I only care about whether a powerful psyker can stay by our side, because if there is another attack and you are not there, then everyone in the 47th Regiment will be dead!" Klein said frankly.

Qin Mo understood Klein's thoughts.

This guy wished he could directly become the commander of the 47th regiment, because then he would have the duty to fight for the lives of all the infantry regiments.

Of course, this is a theoretical duty. After all, if Bull runs away directly, the soldiers below will not be able to stop him.

"Okay." Qin Mo looked down at the map and pointed to the position due east, "I will go here first to check if there are any living people on the position, but before that, I will help you strengthen your defenses."

"First of all, this building is not reliable. It will be blown down sooner or later. We need to make it bigger and bigger, and then build an underground part. Soldiers fight on the ground and rest under the ground."

"We have so little heavy firepower that we have to add heavy stump guns and stationary melta guns, shrinking every window into a firing port and observation port."

"Then……"

"I'm sorry to interrupt." Klein raised his palm. "There is no one in charge of logistics now. We don't have engineering troops responsible for building fortifications, nor a convoy responsible for transporting a large amount of heavy weapons to the front line. We only have this few people."

"It doesn't matter, I will be responsible." Qin Mo got up and looked down at Klein, "Now, ask your people to find me metal and electronic parts. If you can't find electronic parts, find copper and rubber."

Hearing the order, Klein nodded suspiciously.
