Chapter 48 Negotiations and Conditions

Chapter 48 Negotiations and Conditions

After half a Terran day, David traveled a long distance to the lower nest, and immediately went to the forefront of the confrontation to prepare for negotiations.

In order to show his sincerity, David didn't even bring guards, he just walked towards the First Army alone with his Brain Cat in his arms.

When he saw David approaching, Gray, who had been on standby, got up and walked towards him.

After the two stood face to face, David looked at Gray, and he was surprised to find that the power armor Gray was wearing had never been seen in the entire empire.

Why did this person go to the Bottom Nest and then have the ability to produce Power Armor?
David's gaze drifted behind Gray, and he saw that all the soldiers on the field were also wearing power armor.

Compared with such a scene, where the power armor on Gray's body came from is not important anymore.

"Are you their leader?" David asked Gray, subconsciously thinking that he was the actual commander of the First Army.

Gray remained silent.

Two seconds later, a crack appeared in front of David, and then a man emerged from the crack.

"Qin Mo." Qin Mo looked down at David and said his name.

Seeing that he didn't salute, David was slightly dissatisfied, but he didn't care about it: "David, I am honored to be able to tell my name to the firm believer of the Emperor."

Qin Mo looked at David, and judged from his clothes that he was an official of Tailong's Hive City. This man was estimated to be one or two hundred years old. There were various prosthetic body transformation marks on his body. His heart was connected to a black metal pot on his back, which was probably a life support device.

As soon as he saw David Qin Mo suddenly remembered the prophecy told by the mimicry, that is, the first person he saw would be a believer of evil gods.

In the eyes of other forces, the emperor is indeed an evil god, so the prophecy is true.

When Qin Mo was looking at David, David was also looking at Qin Mo, and he found that this young man was a bit arrogant, no matter in his expression or attitude.

As a member of the State Church, David could tell at a glance that Qin Mo was not a staunch believer of the God Emperor, but he could not make it clear.

"Who can you represent?" Qin Mo asked.

"Hive capital and state religion." David replied indifferently.

"Let's talk." Qin Mo turned around and walked towards the position.

Qin Mo observed David while walking side by side.

As David walked, he gently stroked the strong brain cat in his arms. This creature, which could only establish a spiritual connection with its owner, was sleeping soundly. Obviously, it didn't feel any worry or fear from its owner.

This proved that David was very calm in his heart. He was sure that he would not be killed, and these people who had escaped from the bottom nest did not want to set off a rebellion.

But that's just what he thinks.

After walking to the battlefield, Qin Mo and David sat on the two chairs brought by the soldiers, and then began to negotiate.

"Poor child." David glanced at the people present, "What did you experience in the bottom nest?"

"A war." Qin Mo didn't explain too much, and then began to raise conditions: "My people have to move freely in the lower nest. Things they can do include but are not limited to: meet with their own family members, pick up their family members, and buy and transport supplies."

David listened quietly until Qin Mo finished speaking, and then a puzzled expression appeared on his face: "Pick up the family? Are you going back to the bottom nest?"

"Yes." Qin Mo nodded.

David didn't respond immediately, but lowered his head and pondered.

Now the whole nest is holding back the first army is their family members, and if they take their family back to the bottom nest, they will lose their hold. If they want to launch a large-scale revenge operation, there is nothing to stop them.

But if you don't agree, I'm afraid...

Thinking of this, David raised his head and stared at Qin Mo, trying to probe into Qin Mo's head with psychic power, to find out his plan and determine whether he was preparing for war.

At this time, the strong brain cat also woke up from its sound sleep, and stared at Qin Mo together with his master.

After probing for nearly a minute, David found nothing, and then he began to probe Gray's head, but found nothing.

David immediately realized that there was an anti-psychic device in the power armor on them, which made him feel very outrageous. The group of people in front of him didn't seem to have escaped from the bottom nest at all, but they looked like aliens from some high-tech world.

"Speak." Qin Mo stared at David, "Yes or not?"

"Okay." David nodded in agreement.

"Very good, the first negotiation is over." Qin Mo was very satisfied and got up and left.

Hearing the end of the first negotiation, David realized that Qin Mo had only put forward the first condition, and he would have a second and a third in the future.

The best way to avoid being passive is to go to war, designate these people as rebels and eliminate them.

But David was a soldier when he was young, and he knew what the outcome of the war with Qin Mo would be.

While watching Qin Mo leave, David suddenly thought of a question and asked loudly: "You took these soldiers out of the bottom nest with great difficulty, why did you let them go back? Do you just want them to be your tools to satisfy your ambition?"

Qin Mo stopped and looked back at David: "I want the soldiers to move freely. They can choose to bring their families to the bottom nest, or they can choose to stay in the bottom nest. I will not force anyone to go back to the bottom nest."

This answer made David puzzled again: "Why? Are you not afraid that they will all choose to stay in the next nest?"

"Heh." Qin Mo just smiled, his body was immediately wrapped by the barrier, and then disappeared.

David was even more puzzled and surprised. He felt that the situation was a bit out of control, and he might have to ask the court to come to Tyrone if necessary.

But Tyrone's Hive is just one of the empire's many worlds. After the production line of laser rifles and centaur personnel carriers was sent out by the Governor, the entire Hive has become more and more insignificant. If there is not enough evidence collected, it may be difficult for the Inquisition to intervene.

But if the invitation is issued in the name of the state religion, it may be feasible.

"Leave." Gray pointed to Barrett and his subordinates.

"Oh, okay." David nodded and turned to leave.

At this time, the strong brain cat in his arms suddenly became restless.

David comforted the strong brain cat, and took out a jar from his arms and placed it near the strong brain cat's mouth.

Brain cat can use psionic power, it makes the contents of the jar float out into its mouth, and then chews excitedly.

Gray, who stood by and watched Brain Cat eat, found the beautiful creature's food to be disgusting, a fat, white worm.

"That thing looks cute, but the food is a bit disgusting." Gray complained on the communication channel.

"The ghost knows how this old thing raised Brain Cat like this." Andruida said, "The Brain Cat I've seen doesn't eat bugs."
