Chapter 175 Mantis Catching Cicadas
Finlay turned his head awkwardly. Jack could swear that he definitely heard the sound of someone swallowing saliva secretly.

"Has our reinforcements been confirmed?" Reacher quickly dazzled the delicacies on the dinner plate and wiped his mouth with a paper towel.

"Probably, Hannah said she would give me a surprise. It seems that a new friend has joined."

Jack badly saved a large piece of roasted ribs for the end, and purposely approached Finlay, biting the bone until it creaked.

"It's almost done, watch out for him to bite you."

Reacher, who couldn't stand it anymore, actually rescued the black detective for the first time, and Jack's eyes widened innocently. Why did the relationship between the two suddenly become better?
"Let's go early. After finishing those guys, I want to see Joey soon." Reacher stood up and signaled Jack to stop talking.

"I thought you two brothers were quite strange. How long have you not been in touch? You don't even know what your brother is doing."

Jack collected the rubbish on the table and poured it into the trash can beside it. The habit here is quite interesting, and the guests clean it up by themselves.

"Is there any problem? I have been in the army before, and I report on time every day, and I am on time. Now I am leaving, and I want to see this country in my own way, without any worries." Reacher raised his eyebrows.

"Your life is not healthy. You wander around the world with a toothbrush and a few hundred dollars in cash. Everyone needs a job and a goal."

Finlay finally finished the spinach salad, which was disgusting to look at, and helped to pack it up. He also thoughtfully helped to order a package for them to bring to Rosko and the Heborg family.

"My Western Union account receives retirement money every month. Could it be that your goal is to come to this remote town in the south to waste time?" Reach retorted.

Finlay was speechless, so he could only change the subject and ask, "What do we do next? Go directly to Paul Heborg's house? No one seems to be following us now."

"It's us, not you. Let's go to the town and let the troublemakers follow. You should go back to the police station. Roseko is not here. We need an eyeliner." Jack said.

"Okay, you guys can vent your energy as much as you want, and I'll be that dog under Tiller's cane, and be played around by him." Finlay looked listless like a deflated rubber ball.

"Don't be like this, you have quite a lot of tasks." Jack comforted.

"The identity of the deceased under the overpass should be revealed. You have to go to the morgue first to get relevant information. In addition, you need to identify your two subordinates."

"You mean Baker and Stevenson? Is it necessary?" Finlay was puzzled.

"It's fine if they're all gangsters, but if someone is innocent, do you think Kleiner's people have suffered from our hands, will they go after the innocent?"

"I have a feeling that Little Kleiner's killing of your former director Morrison may not be based on his father's instigation, it's too high-profile, it's not like an old fox who can keep a low profile in Margrave for more than ten years style."

Finlay nodded in agreement, "Indeed, well, I'll try my best. My preference is that Stevenson is innocent. It feels like his concern for the Herborg family is genuine."

"Anyway, you have to be careful yourself, we don't want to come back tomorrow to help you find the ball nailed to the wall."

After Jack finished speaking, he drove away and went back to the town for a walk. Reacher also went to the gun store to buy two boxes of .44 Magnum bullets.

Seeing that the sky was getting dark, and after confirming that their buttocks were following their tails, the two of them unhurriedly got back into the car and drove to the address of Paul Heborg's family.

"I think our thinking is a bit erroneous. If you want to know who has a problem, you can check their bank account."

Looking at the luxurious villa in front of him and the Bentley Bentayga parked at the door, Jack remembered that he was driving a Jaguar when Paul's wife came to pick him up.

"Then check it out. You were right before. It's hard to say that they won't kill innocent people."

Reicher jumped out of the car and looked into the distance, where there were three cars parked, one of which was the black Mercedes they had seen before.

"Arrogant enough, you're not afraid of being discovered by us at all." Jack rang the doorbell, and they were greeted by Rothko, who was holding a gun and looked nervous.

"Hey, are you okay?" Seeing the bruise on the corner of Leiche's mouth, Roscoe stretched out her hand to touch his cheek with some distress.

"He's fine, it's just that he was careless and didn't flash." Jack played a joke that no one in this world understands, and then lit up the packing bag in Liang Liang's hand.

"I brought you something to eat, have you packed everything?"

Probably because of the noise, a quiet and well-maintained blonde young woman walked into the living room and looked at the two people who had just entered the door.

"Are you Mr. Tavoler and Mr. Reacher?"

"Is Charlie right? You can just call me Jack, you can call him Big Jack or Reacher." Jack handed over the food packed at the barbecue shop just now.

"Hurry up and eat something, we will set off as soon as it gets dark."

"Thank you, Paul mentioned you when he went home, thanks to the two of you who protected him in prison."

Charlie called two seven or eight-year-old girls out to eat, but she watched from the sidelines with a worried look.

Jack motioned to Roseko to help watch the two children, and the three of them went to the next kitchen to talk.

"When did Paul disappear?" Reacher asked.

"He came home yesterday and said he was going to meet with some people to sort out the bank, and then he went out. I woke up this morning and found that he hadn't come home. The call was transferred to voicemail, and then I heard that Mo Director Leeson's house had an accident, and he was very scared."

The blond young woman choked up and quickly covered her mouth with her hands, for fear of being heard by the two children outside.

"Paul and I have been together since our freshman year at the University of Georgia. He has never been away overnight, not once. I knew something must have happened to him, so I called Stevenson immediately."

"So, you know about Paul, he must have said something to you, so you will be so scared when you know what happened to the Morrison family."

Reicher keenly sensed something was wrong.

Charlie looked a little panicked, and her eyes couldn't help avoiding his gaze.

Jack poked the big man, signaling that now was not the time to pursue these matters.

"Mrs. Herborg." He changed the address in a serious tone.

"If I'm not mistaken, Paul just hid. If Kleiner's people did it, they would definitely arrest you and the children at the same time to threaten him. This is their style of action."

"But you are also in danger right now, and we are going to take you to Atlanta, where we have friends who can help protect you and the children."

Charlie nodded with tears in her eyes, "Roseko told me, as long as the children are safe, I will tell you everything I know."

If I can't do it anymore, I will be farther and farther away from the boutique and ask for a monthly pass!
