Chapter 102 The Lover's Tribulation

Chapter 102 Lover Tribulation ([-])
"I bet that the teller who served Mrs. Cook just now definitely has a blue car."

The two walked out of the bank, and John had already solved the case.

"His acting skills are terrible, I have never seen such a nervous murderer."

Jack also looked disappointed, "Let's go back to the police station. We still need to complete the chain of evidence. This guy thinks that if the collar is turned up and the sleeves are down, others will not be able to find those scratches. This case is really boring."

The two returned to the police station, parked the car, and deliberately walked into the police station through the main entrance. They wanted to pass by the service desk to say hello to Lucy and make an appointment for an evening party, but they happened to see a familiar figure who still had a charming face. The blond young woman is asking Lucy about an unknown Nolan police officer.

"Are you familiar with him?" The blond young woman was trying to talk to Lucy.

"Uh, it's familiar." Lucy smiled reluctantly.

"He looks like a warm-hearted and nice man." The blond young woman pointedly.

Jack felt that Lucy was about to lose her nerve.

"It's okay, I think" Lucy's eyes wandered, as if recalling some past events.

"He saved my life." The blond young woman bit her lip with a confused expression.

Lucy gave an awkward yet polite smile,

Jack coughed lightly, drawing Lucy's attention to John who was trying to sneak out of the side door.

"Ah, he's here!" Lucy seemed to be pardoned, and the blond young woman turned her head when she heard the sound, with surprise in her eyes.

"Oh, hey, why did you come to the police station!" John, who was about to bend over and slip away, suddenly straightened up, turned around quickly, and pretended to be surprised.

"You should rest at home."

The blond young woman had a shy face with peach blossoms on her face, as if she had met someone she liked.

"The hospital checked my whole body and there was no problem, so I thought about stopping by the police station on the way home."

Jack moved sideways, stood next to Lucy, and shook the box of small biscuits in her hand at her. Lucy smiled knowingly, reached out and grabbed a piece, and the two of them crunched and chewed the biscuits while watching the show.

".Thanks to you, it's just a little skin burn."

The blond young woman stretched out a finger and poked John's shoulder lightly.

Jack felt that as long as he was given enough time, someone could almost add a 50-square-meter basement to the police station with just his toes.

"Oh, that's great, I'm glad you're okay." John's smirk sent goose bumps off the two melon-eating audiences next to him.

"By the way, I also brought you some presents. Uh... just some muffins that you can share with your co-workers."

The blond young woman turned her head to look at Jack and Lucy who were eating biscuits happily behind the service desk, and showed a friendly smile.

The two raised their hands at the same time and smiled back.

"Wow, you're really very kind and thoughtful, but it's not necessary at all. Uh, to be honest, I think you should hurry home and get some rest."

The smile on John's face froze.

"Alright, maybe you can stop by my house to see me later."

The blond young woman's eyes were drawn, she bit her lips lightly, and looked at John with anticipation in her eyes.

Jack and Lucy looked at each other with exaggerated expressions, and their mouths became O-shaped.

"I'm uh... early from get off work, and I already have" John began to stammer, not knowing what to say.

"Ah, it doesn't matter. I can understand that a good man is always a good man. Anyway, thank you." The blond young woman was a little disappointed, and finally left politely, leaving only a large basket of muffins.

"Two boxes of Partagas, you still have a chance to regret it now." Jack turned into a blackmailer again.

"The muffins are mine, and I'll help you distribute them to everyone. Wow, they're so heavy!" Lucy reached out to pick up the big basket of muffins on the service counter, but she was almost overwhelmed by the weight.

"Shut up, you two, she was just kind, thanking me for saving her." John became furious, turned and slipped away.

"Hey, it's just two boxes now, maybe you begged me to accept it at night." Jack hurriedly chased after it.

The two walked into the office area happily, and saw that Angela had sorted out a thick stack of documents and put them on the table.

"Angela, I think we've already."

Before John could finish his sentence, Detective Calderon on the other end came over aggressively and asked in a bad tone.

"Lopez, I hear you've been reviewing robbery records."

"Yes, sir." Angela stood up, facing her, looking normal, with anger welling up in her eyes.

"Didn't I tell you not to investigate?" The female police detective's voice was raised, which attracted the attention of everyone around her.

John hesitated to speak, but was held back by Jack. Angela is not a plasticine character, and can be manipulated at will. If she is targeted in such a way in public, she must fight back, otherwise even if she joins the detective team in the future, It's not going to be easy either.

What they should do is not to help her decide the winner or loser, but to help her clarify the clues of the case, so that the other party can really shut up.

Jack picked up the pile of organized materials on the table and began to read them, while distractedly listening to the tit-for-tat confrontation between the two policewomen.

"Yes, sir." Angela repeated again, but her face was full of disdain.

"Let me tell you this, I have read the case records you found out a long time ago, and they can't explain anything."

Detective Calderon took a step forward as he spoke, the two women looked at each other, and the atmosphere became tense.

"I thought you were just sleeping with the enemy, but I didn't expect you to join the enemy and start fighting against us."

What and what, Jack was confused and looked up at John. John was also confused and shook his head to express that he didn't understand.

Angela understood in seconds: "Sleeping with the enemy? Are you targeting me because of Wesley?"

Detective Calderon showed an expression that you only understand: "Joanna Kelly was murdered on the way home from school last year. It took us several months to control the suspect, and then your boyfriend in the program Picking the prick had to let him go."

Angela was almost laughed angrily: "If you can make the case seamless, he can't make a fuss about the procedure, right?"

As she spoke, she turned around and took the file from Jack's hand: "There were three other robberies, all in the neighborhood of today's murder, and all of them saw a blue car leave the scene."

Detective Calderon's momentum has weakened by three points, but he is still stubborn: "This doesn't explain anything."

Angela let out a cold snort, "So, what if every victim withdraws a large amount of cash from the same bank on the same day they were robbed?"
