Warhammer: Return of the Dragon

Chapter 967 Kunos’ Determination

Legend has it that every elf who approaches the Sword of Kane will face the bewitchment of the Blood-Hand God.

As the most powerful artifact of the elves, the Sword of Kane is just a general name. Everyone who looks at the sword will change the shape of the sword according to the strongest desire in their heart.

Legend has it that Aenarion's weapon has never changed. It has always been a divine sword engraved with ancient elven runes. In the eyes of the Guardian Bloodborn, there is no difference between the sword of Kane and the thing held by the ancestors.

A flaming sun sword exuding endless divine light, sharper and more powerful.

Several archers who were left behind near the sword altar saw the war lord covered in blood. They thought they were preparing to hold on to their stronghold and wait for reinforcements to fight against Aslay.

But Tyrion, who landed from the back of Malhandel, stared blankly at the sword of Kane in the center, as if nothing could make him care except the sword that could destroy elves.

"Your Excellency, War Lord! Your Excellency, War Lord!" The archer's call did not have the desired effect, which made them extremely urgent for a moment. Every Asur knew the threat of Kane's Divine Sword since they were children.

The Druchi are a group of elves cursed by Khaine. If the descendants of Aenarion are allowed to draw the sword again, the consequences in Ulthuan will be disastrous.

"Tyrion! Tyrion! What are you going to do!"

The still ineffective call made the captain grit his teeth and make a difficult decision. He pulled up his longbow and aimed his target at the war lord who swore allegiance to Aslay.

In order to prevent Cain's disaster from happening to Assur again, even the Phoenix King Titris who expelled Druchi from Ulthuan could die.

The long steel arrow did not cause effective damage to Tyrion. It was not the protective effect of the dragon armor, but the power of the temple itself. Kane's rich blood power caused all flying arrows to reverse and attack the launcher instead.

The screams made Tyrion's speed increase faster and faster. He had to be fast, otherwise Druzi would soon join Aslay. If Malekith was allowed to pull out the divine sword, it would be too late!

A moment later, more than a hundred soldiers who were originally stationed near the sword altar were all killed as Tyrion pulled out the divine sword. A bloody beam of light from the sky poured out from the sword altar. The souls of the elves who died around the temple were gone. Before entering the Gate of Nisu, the wails and cries poured into the Divine Sword, turning into nutrients for Tyrion's power.

Tyrion, holding the divine sword with one hand, looked up at the sky. He could see an extremely handsome face exuding a smile, a smile that was about to gain satisfaction.

But what Tyrion didn't know was that the same smile appeared on his face.

The expected madness did not appear. On the contrary, Tyrion was extremely calm. He boarded Malhandel again, with only one thought in his mind: first kill Orion, then Aslay and Druzi, and finally Execute all Assur who disobey.

Orion, who was fighting with the nobles of Itaien, saw the blood-colored light pillars in the sword altar connecting the sky, and the bloodshot eyes faded a lot, and the madness that occupied his soul also woke up for a short time.

"So that's it...we still can't get rid of our fate, Ariel."

Under Asul's bewildered gaze, he inserted the Spear of Kunos into the ground, raised the wild hunting horn hanging on his waist and played it.

But this time, the sound of the Wild Hunt is no longer loud and exciting, but has a more tragic meaning.

The captain of the wild cavalry, whose face was covered by a mask, shook off the body of a sea guard hanging on his spear and silently came to the king's side.

Needless to say, as the Blessed Ones of Kurnoth, they will obey Orion's will to the death.

But only this time, the wild cavalryman who had served the king for thousands of years was shaken.

Orion untied the cloak hanging on his shoulders and handed it into the hands of his confidant. Under the gaze of those cold and ruthless eyes, he slowly made an extremely incredible decision. "Go back to Athel Loren and ask Des to go to Caledor to find Imric. You must protect Ariel before he makes a decision."

The captain was silent for a long time, holding the cloak that Ariel had knitted for her husband with one hand, and seemed to understand many things for a moment.

"If you die this time, the Age Oak will not be able to extend your eternal life. Queen Ariel will not break her oath and live, and will become a part of the forest."

Orion smiled. He laughed for the first time when he set foot on the land of Ulthuan. "Yes, but it can continue your lives. All Asrai are the children of me and Ariel, and as a father, I How can you see your wife and children being threatened?"

"I wish you..." The captain wanted to say good luck in martial arts, but in the end he couldn't say it out loud.

The fight between Kane and Kunos will be the prelude to the war in heaven. The king cannot win, but he needs to change the outcome of the war in heaven.

The only force that does not belong to the opposing camp of gods in the War of Heaven is Caledor, and only Imric can defeat the incarnations of Asuryan and Khaine.

Kunos was prepared to die in exchange for Elsa to live and for their children to live.

The roots of the oak tree surged again, and the backbone of the wild cavalry dragging Elsa's cloak away seemed to have been crushed. The sound of frantic iron hooves trampling was no longer heard. They did not abandon the monarch, but the monarch chose to let them leave.

Itain Azul, who had no idea what was going on, showed vigilance and surrounded Orion in the center of the battlefield.

Orion, however, showed a kind face and sat on the ground to rest for a while and prepare for a tough battle.

These Asul are also the children of Kunos and Aisha.

"Leave. Things here have nothing to do with you. You can only face tomorrow if you are alive."

"But sometimes living with shame is more uncomfortable than dying."

These words of persistence made Orion, who had already started watching, sigh a little. The elf's paranoia came from the gods.

His paranoia about protecting Aisha and Asul's paranoia about honor seem to be the same thing.

While waiting, Orion had already vaguely felt a breath coming out of the temple. No need to explain too much, this was something he had to face in his life.

Every war in heaven ends with Elsa's tears, and this time, Kunos doesn't want to see Elsa shed tears for anyone except himself.

Tyrion, holding Kane's divine sword, calmly walked from the center of the military formation step by step. He came to Orion. He wanted to say that your death has come, but what came out of his mouth was something else.

"You can leave here and wait it out before accepting your fate."

Orion smiled, or could it be said that Kunos smiled, waiting for Kane and Assur to fight over the outcome, hiding in the forest and shivering?
This is not what the God of Hunting does, and it is definitely not the choice of the King of the Forest.

The tall king stood up, pulled out the Spear of Kunos stuck in the ground, and pointed the spearhead at Tyrion, who was holding the Divine Sword of Kane, as he had done countless times before.

"I will die, but you can't live either." (End of Chapter)
