Chapter 33 Assessment
In the middle of the mage area.

Square 15-story magic tower.

This is the only mage tower built in Thunder City, and it is also the office and residence of the president of the Tulun Kingdom Mage Association.

Berkeley Payne, who has served as the president of the association for 20 years, is in his office, holding up a pair of monocles and studying hard.

"The door is open."

Berkeley suddenly muttered to himself.

Harris pushed the door open and sat down opposite the president very familiarly.

"After I finish this paragraph, it will be soon." Berkeley didn't lift his head.

It wasn't until 10 minutes later that he put down his monocle, raised his head, and showed a gentle smile on his wrinkled, scorched face:

"Why are you free to come and see me today?"

"Such hard work at such an age, wouldn't it be embarrassing for those young magicians to see it." Harris' tone could not tell whether it was praise or emotion.

"You also know who my ex is, it's a lot of pressure." Berkeley Payne seemed to have gotten used to Harris' character, and said with a smile.

"That's why I came to you today, Your Excellency Payne."

"Master Roman?"

"To be precise, it's the disciple newly recruited by Your Excellency 'Storm Guidance'."

"Colin Wayne?" Berkeley blurted out.

"Your Excellency President seems to have paid attention to him?" Harris asked.

"Who didn't pay attention in the entire Thunder City?"

Berkeley pulled a wooden box on the table, and when he opened it, it was full of yellow shredded tobacco. Then he picked up a piece of rough and heavy paper from the side, and while slowly rolling the cigarette, he asked:
"What happened to that kid?"

"Colin Wayne came to the Society today."

"Oh?"

"Also, I had a fight with him." Harris said flatly.

"Even if it's you...it's too much."

Berkeley didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "Even if it's not for Master Roman's sake, how can you bully the younger as a young man in his teens?"

"There is no distinction between young and old, and since he is a disciple of Master Roman, his requirements are naturally higher than other young people."

"So, how did it turn out?"

"For the time being, I lost."

"Huh?" Berkeley Payne paused in his cigarette-rolling hand.

"You also know that I have always complained about Master Roman accepting an unawakened disciple."

"In fact, many people have doubts, but you are the only one who said it."

Berkeley handed Harris the rolled cigarette and said with a smile, "I'm curious, what can you argue with him?"

"It's nothing more than that."

"So, how could you lose?" Berkeley was puzzled and amused.

Harris did not answer but asked: "Do you know what Colin Wayne is doing at the association today?"

"What?" Berkeley became more and more curious.

Harris held the cigarette in his left hand, pinched his right thumb and index finger slightly, and a blue flame ignited from between his fingers. After lighting the cigarette butt, it went out suddenly.

"He came to take part in the elementary magician assessment."

Hearing this, Berkeley's hands that were rolling his own cigarettes trembled slightly, and a few shreds of tobacco spread on the paper shook off.

The room fell silent.

for a long time.

Berkeley sighed and said, "The vision of the master is really not comparable to mine."

……

……

in the hall.

Colin, who sent Harris off, waited at the reception desk for a while, when he saw a young girl with twin ponytails running not far away.

The uniform uniforms of the association’s reception staff are quite nice. Boys wear white long-sleeved shirts and blue trousers, while girls wear white short-sleeved tops and blue long skirts.

"Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I am your exclusive waiter."

The little girl ran out of breath, but still politely saluted and said hello.

Ke Lin was helpless: "Hi, actually I don't need much help, I just want someone to tell me how to sign up for the assessment."

"That's one of my jobs."

The girl named Rebecca stood upright, clasped her hands in front of her lower abdomen, and said with a smile, "Actually, to be precise, I am the exclusive waiter for the iron gold medal in your hand."

"This one?" Ke Lin took out the gold-encrusted iron plate given by his senior sister.

Rebecca kept her distance, stretched her head to take a look, and said with a brighter smile:
"Yes, by the way, how is Miss Tessa?"

It turned out to be the exclusive waiter of the senior sister.

Ke Lin probably understood that this was an exclusive service similar to VIP.

"she's fine."

"You must be Mr. Wayne. I just heard from my colleagues that you are arguing with Your Excellency 'Blazing Fire and Thunder' here in the hall. It's really...remarkable."

You must be trying to say that you are too good at killing... Colin laughed inwardly.

Seeing that Colin didn't say anything, Rebecca hurriedly continued:
"I have completed your registration for the assessment, and now you only need to wait for the written test at 9 o'clock to start."

"Thank you."

Ke Lin didn't expect the other party to be so efficient, and he had already done things before he saw him. This VIP is really different, and he doesn't know how much he needs to recharge to have such a service.

"I suggest you eat some food during this time, but don't drink water. The written test will take 4 hours. During this period, you can't eat or go to the toilet..."

"thanks for your reminder."

From 9 am to 1 pm, four hours, a thousand questions.

The average time for each question is less than 15 seconds.

This kind of examination system was formulated by the teacher Roman Sagan himself. Although everyone, including the invigilator, hated it, but given that the magister is still in full swing, even Berkeley Payne, who has taken over the association for 20 years, does not agree. Dare to change what he left at will.

Colin glanced at the magic timer that was hung high on the wall in the hall and was accurate to the minute. The time displayed on it was 7:45 am.

Rebecca said: "Mr. Wayne, if you have nothing else to do, I can take you to Miss Tessa's special room to rest for a while, and I will call you 10 minutes before the exam."

Senior sister's private room?

"Thank you then."

"This is what I should do."

……

Colin followed Rebecca to a room at the end of the corridor on the second floor. After entering, he found that it was clean and tidy. A guest sofa, a rectangular tea table.

"Miss Tessa hasn't been to the association for more than a month, but I have been cleaning her room."

"Thanks for your hard work."

"You are too polite." Rebecca smiled like a flower: "Please rest for a while, don't worry about being late, I will call you early."

"Thank you."

After sending Rebecca away, Colin lay down on the senior sister's sofa, stroking the soft wool pad with his hands, looking at the ceiling, thinking about today's exam in his heart.

The big words have already been uttered, if the assessment fails, even the teacher will lose face.

Because the sofa was too comfortable, Colin, who had gotten enough sleep last night, almost fell asleep, until Rebecca called softly from outside the door.

He straightened his clothes and opened the door.

"Mr. Wayne, the exam will start in 15 minutes. It takes 23 minutes to walk from here to the exam room in Building 5. I suggest we start now."

"Please lead the way."

Ke Lin followed Rebecca, thinking that this kind of examination treatment was the first time in the two worlds combined.
