Chapter 9
Xie Zhiyun woke up early in the morning.

She lay on the bed for a while, then cried out, and when she had settled down and sat down at the dining table, she casually glanced at another empty chair.

Grandma Jia was serving porridge for her. Seeing her eyes, she smiled and said, "Young Master went to Day Camp early in the morning."

Xie Zhiyun snorted coldly and said, "He's been in the camp all day, so I don't care about him."

Nanny Jia and Muyun laughed together.

In addition to millet and red date porridge, today's meal also has scallion bait cake and soup wonton, which is rarer than usual richer.

Xie Zhiyun ate some of everything, and the carriage was ready.

She brought Mu Yun and Zhao Yu with her today, and the three got into the carriage, and the four servants followed behind the carriage.

When a group of people came to Luoxia Mountain in a mighty manner, it was just after Sishi when the carriage stopped halfway up the mountain, and Xie Zhiyun climbed down step by step.

She didn't believe in ghosts and gods before, but now she has to believe in them.

The road up the mountain was rough and bumpy, and every step she took was filled with devout prayers.

Hope the original nightmare never happens.

When they reached the top of the mountain, the courtyard wall of Guiyin Temple vaguely appeared in front of Xie Zhiyun.

Today is not the day of incense, and there are not many pilgrims on the mountain. Occasionally, some lay Buddhists who have lived in the mountain for a long time are practicing outside, but it does not appear to be lively.

Xie Zhijun led the two of them directly into the Guiyin Temple, first found a young novice monk, and presented the offerings, and then began to worship the Buddha from temple to temple.

One must be pious to worship the Buddha, the heart must be quiet, and the fragrance must be steady. In the quiet sandalwood, Xie Zhiyun performed correct Buddhist rituals everywhere, and did not kneel and worship until noon.

By the time of Licheng, she was sweating all over in the cold winter.

At noon, I used the meal in the dining hall of Guiyin Temple. The vegetarian food here tastes good. Xie Zhijun ate it briefly, and said to Mu Yun, "Are you worshiping devoutly?"

Mu Yun nodded vigorously, full of anticipation.

"The servants have worshiped, and perhaps made a wish on behalf of the mother. I hope that our mother and daughter will be healthy, safe and happy in the future."

As Mu Yun said, he glanced at Xie Zhiyun shyly, and said in a low voice, "This servant made her own decision, and made a wish for Miss."

Xie Zhijun put down his chopsticks, and gently wiped his lips with a handkerchief.

"Oh? What wish?"

Mu Yun was gently pinched by Zhao Yu, but still whispered: "I hope Miss will have children."

"You girl," Xie Zhiyun blushed and pinched her, "How could you think of this?"

Mu Yun pursed her lips, her tongue was clumsy, she was not as clever as Zhao Yu, but her thoughts were delicate.

"The servant just feels that the young lady is a bit lonely. If there is a young lady or a young gentleman to accompany the young lady, the young lady will be happier."

Xie Zhiyun was taken aback for a moment, then pinched her face with a smile.

She said to Chao Yu: "Look at this girl, she has a spring heart. When I go back, I will search carefully and find a good family for her."

Mu Yun's little face turned red to rouge, she pursed her lips, but this time she couldn't finish a sentence.

The three masters and servants joked a few words, then came out of Guiyin Temple and went all the way to Xianglou.

Today, a little novice was guarding outside the incense tower, and when he saw them, he smiled and said, "What kind of incense does the benefactor want to buy?"

Xie Zhiyun asked: "Is there any sandalwood?"

The little novice replied: "Unfortunately, today's sandalwood is sold out, but there are still agarwood and longevity incense."

Xie Zhiyun said, "Then just buy three boxes."

While waiting for the little novice to collect incense, Xie Zhiyun suddenly remembered something, and asked: "I came to see a blind old man the other day, but is he a layman in the temple?"

Hearing this, the little novice was a little dazed, and stood there without saying a word for a long time, Xie Zhiyun was a little surprised, and was about to ask again, the little novice answered word by word as if he had just woken up from a dream.

"The benefactor is asking Granny Yan? If you want to find her, she is currently worshiping the Buddha at the Jiehuo Pavilion."

After finishing speaking, the little novice packed a few boxes of sachets and handed them to Zhao Yu stiffly.

Xie Zhiyun felt that there was an indescribable weirdness in him, but he didn't know where the weirdness was. He took a serious look at him and saw that he was acting as usual, so he left after paying respects.

Zhao Yu held the incense box and asked, "Miss, do you want to go home?"

Xie Zhiyun thought about it, but for some reason, she wanted to meet that blind "Grandma Yan".

"Let's also go to the Jiehuo Pavilion. Maybe we can meet that old man. It's freezing cold, so I don't know how she is doing."

Xie Zhiyun has never been a warm-hearted person, and it's a bit weird to care so much about an old man who has only met once.

Zhao Yu and Mu Yun looked at each other, and they both followed behind Xie Zhiyun in silence.

Today the mountain is really clean, the mountain is full of yellow and green leaves, the quiet mountain wind is rippling, there is a kind of calm and cool.

The Jiehuo Pavilion not far away stands on the top of the ridge, surrounded by clouds and mist, as if standing in a dream.

Xie Zhiyun saw a hunched figure standing in the pavilion from a distance, with his back to them and kneeling to the mountain god.

She subconsciously slowed down her steps, let Zhao Yu, Muyun and the others wait in place, and walked a few steps forward by herself, to the outside of the Jiehuo Pavilion.

She walked very lightly, but this Granny Yan seemed to have eyes behind her back, she only took a breath, and heard a visitor behind her.

"There are pilgrims again, wait a moment, the old lady will finish worshiping now."

Granny Yan finished the Buddhist ceremony neatly, staggered to her feet, and turned to look at the person behind her.

She still has gray hair and mottled face.

Xie Zhiyun felt that she was older than the last time I saw her. Her gray hair had more silver strands than black hair, and she looked more and more vicissitudes.

The years seemed to be tribulations, draining her vitality, making her dark and dying.

Granny Yan closed her eyes tightly, and the folds on her eyelids trembled slightly, as if trying to see the person clearly.

This time, she didn't seem to have a clear eye.

"Does this pilgrim want to worship the mountain god? The old woman has finished worshiping, so I'm leaving now."

Xie Zhiyun's voice was very soft: "I was a pilgrim who bought incense with the old man the day before yesterday, and I met again today, it is fate."

Granny Yan seemed a little surprised. She reached out and tidied up the incense box on the ground, then raised her head and asked, "My lady, why are you coming up the mountain again so quickly? But I'm confused?"

Except for the pious pilgrims and believers, most of the people worship the Buddha for nothing more than to pray to the gods to solve their doubts, make a wish, and pray to the Bodhisattva, so that they can overcome each difficulty and face the next threshold smoothly.

Xie Zhijun went up the mountain again after a day, and others would only think that she encountered a difficult problem and couldn't solve it.

This Granny Yan's question went into Xie Zhiyun's heart.

She didn't know why she was like this, but this strange mother-in-law made her get close to her inexplicably, and wanted to express her boredom.

Xie Zhiyun thought for a while, and said: "I don't know why there have been some wonderful fortunes recently, and I don't know how to get along with my husband and son-in-law, so I have some difficulties."

Granny Yan curled up her dry lips and let out a barely loving smile.

"Newlyweds are always stumbling, my lady," she sighed, "When we look at people, we can't just look at the shortcomings, we should look at the advantages."

"If you look at him and treat him with your heart, you will know what kind of person he is."

"If you understand it, you will know how to get along with him."

It is a big taboo to talk lightly and deeply, this Granny Yan didn't say much, she thought for a while, and handed the incense box in her hand to Xie Zhiyun: "Oh, the old lady talked too much, lady, don't be annoyed. Today's sandalwood is sold out, you Maybe I didn’t buy it, I have seven sticks left in this box, if you don’t mind, then use it.”

Just as Xie Zhiyun was about to give her money, Granny Yan laughed again.

This time, her smile was like spring breeze turning into rain, making that old face a little more delicate and tender.

Xie Zhiyun always felt that she looked familiar, but he didn't know when he saw her again.

Granny Yan said: "Today you sent an offering to Guiyin Temple. It's just a box of sandalwood. I can still afford it, old lady."

Xie Zhiyun didn't persuade him any more.

She took the box of sandalwood, and respectfully saluted Granny Yan: "Thank you, Granny Yan."

Granny Yan closed her eyes and raised her head to "look" at the young and beautiful daughter in front of her.

After a long while, she said: "The Bodhisattva is merciful and pity the world. If you get a chance and don't understand, you can think about what you did that day."

"When you figure it out, maybe the opportunity will reappear."

As Granny Yan said this, her old body became even more rickety. With her hands behind her back and heart sutras in her mouth, she passed by the dazed Xie Zhiyun.

When turning sideways, Xie Zhijun smelled a familiar smell.

That is her favorite Qianbuxiang.

Xie Zhiyun was stunned for a moment, and was going to look for her, but he couldn't find her.

There is no one else in the spacious backyard except the three of them, the master and the servant.

Xie Zhiyun held the box of sandalwood, turned back to the two of them, and asked, "Where did that old man go?"

Zhao Yu said: "My servant saw that she entered Guiyin Temple."

Xie Zhiyun said, "Let's go back."

When the master and servant got into the carriage, Xie Zhijun still held the box of sandalwood in his hand.

She felt a little tired, so she closed her eyes and fell into deep thought for a moment.

In her mind, the words of that Granny Yan echoed repeatedly, making it impossible for her to forget.

Granny Yan said that she should think about the events before the chance happened that day. If she can think about the cause and effect, there is no chance that the chance will come again.

Xie Zhiyun felt that Granny Yan was right, so she thought over and over again, trying to find something special from it.

On that day, she had nothing else but to come to Guiyin Temple to offer incense, and she did everything on a daily basis, except...

Except that it was the first day of the new year, Wei Ji went back to the main room according to the old etiquette, and had a chat with her.

It was also after the two of them were together that Xie Zhijun had that nightmare.

Later, she dreamed about Muyun again, and she also experienced a lot of clouds and rains, and the two dreams could be matched.

Could it be... this chance has something to do with the matter of Yunyu?
Xie Zhijun opened her eyes suddenly, her face was flushed, it was obviously cold winter, but she felt like her face was burning.

Zhao Yu was helping her make tea, seeing her state of affairs, she couldn't help asking: "What's wrong with Miss?"

Xie Zhiyun's face was hot, she tried her best to suppress the embarrassment in her heart, and thought a little resentfully: Could it be that she is going to pester him to do such a shameful thing just to meet a chance?

She is the daughter of a family, how can she be so stupid?
But when he closed his eyes again, Xie Zhijun could always think of the bloodstain on Mu Yun's neck, the cry in the mourning hall, the cold tablet, and the despair in his dream.

Xie Zhiyun took a deep breath, feeling that no matter what, she had to give it a try.

But how to try this?

Ang, I want to ask for comments and votes, love you!
