Chapter 56 Hannah
The sun is bright.

The crown prince's living room is tall and spacious, with a wide view. Hannah leaned on the window and looked out, with a panoramic view of most of the Red Castle.

His Highness's favor gave her the qualification to observe the operation of the palace.

It's been four months.

There is no king, no queen, no prince or princess in the Red Keep.

The four imperial ministers went their own way, and the courtiers did not know who to ask for instructions. The petition in the throne room had long been suspended, and the servants just repeated their daily work to maintain the status quo.

During the daytime, the Red Castle was full of people coming and going, lively and peaceful, as if it was no different from before.

But Hannah has already noticed the undercurrent surging.

Under the empty Iron Throne, she saw courtiers sharing a gluttonous feast, this delicacy is called power, and it is called money.

She saw that Petyr Baelish, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, was annexing businesses such as brothels and taverns in King's Landing at an increasing speed and scale, and countless courtiers and his minions also shared a lot of benefits.

No one knew what Littlefinger had done to the treasury and taxes.

She saw Chief of Intelligence Varys spending more and more time hiding in the dark hut, even absent from the weekly royal meeting.

His Highness told her that all the secret passages of the Red Castle are connected under that hut.

She saw that Grand Maester Pycelle had summoned many young maids one after another, and his apprentice, Samwell Tarly, who was ordered to enter the palace by His Royal Highness, almost became a full-time servant.

She saw Lord Lord Renly Baratheon taking more lenient handling of the law and hanging out with Loras Tyrell all day.

There is also the rumor of the "Highgarden Rose", which should have been made by Tyrell's people.

These days, people in the Red Keep and the city were admiring that she was as beautiful as the most delicate winter rose, and these people had never seen her.

Why mention winter snow rose?

With her keen intuition and experience in court life, Hannah quickly thought of Lyanna Stark, the king's former fiancée.

Margaery Tyrell wants to take Cersei's place! ?

The battle between Lannister and Tyrell, another secret and dangerous court game, many people will die in the corner where no one knows.

Hannah didn't care about that anymore.

She knew that all Tyrell's efforts would be in vain when His Royal Highness's purpose was achieved.

His Highness sent messages seven times through magic, and each time was shorter and simpler, all of which were instructions for the Red Castle and King's Landing affairs, and did not tell her anything else.

But she guessed it.

If King Robert could still reach King's Landing alive, why did His Highness send the signal of "action in seven days" the day before yesterday?

King's Landing is in chaos, the king is dead, and that's what's going to happen in a week's time.

And she will act as the eyes, tongue and arms of His Highness in the Red Castle, examining the courtiers, conveying orders, and dealing with treason for him.

"Master Hannah, what are your orders?"

An unremarkable middle-aged man stood behind him respectfully and asked for instructions softly.

This is a lucky commoner. First, he was lucky enough to work in the Red Castle, and then he was noticed by Hannah, the new chief executive of His Royal Highness, and now he has become one of several deputy chief executives.

Hannah knew his code name, "Hidden Deer".

"Is there anything new recently, His Highness is not here, it's really getting more and more boring."

Hannah waved everyone back.

The servant walked out of the room silently, planning the relationship between the two of them in his mind, no wonder this guy became the deputy manager.

Hidden Deer handed over a roll of data, "A red-robed and red-haired sorceress Melisandre recently appeared in the city. It is said to be from Asshai, and she is the priestess of R'hllor, the Lord of Light."

Hannah unrolls the scroll.

Hidden Deer sneered: "Just because of her beauty, many men in the city are about to abandon their faith and prepare to fall into R'hllor's arms."

"Really, will men love Rose of Highgarden more or this priestess now? Gods bless, I hope no one will die." She silently read the words on the paper.

Our own strength:

The King's Landing Garrison consisted of 13 mid-level officers, 46 junior officers, and 250 soldiers.

There are more than [-] secret personnel and more than [-] peripheral members.

There are 150 Lannister guards, more than [-] attendants, and more than [-] servants.

Chancellor to identify forces:

There are 150 mercenaries, more than ten officers and more than fifty soldiers in the King's Landing Garrison, nearly half of the close courtiers, and almost all the treasury, mint, port, tax collectors, and agents.

Intelligence Chief Identify Forces:

There are more than [-] people in Xiaoxiaoniao, nearly half of the courtiers, and more than [-] officers of the King's Landing Garrison.

(The target is alerted, it is recommended to deal with it immediately)
The Minister of Justice finds out the power:

There are more than [-] Baratheon guards, more than [-] mercenaries, and more than [-] friendly knights. The potential allies are hard to estimate.

Yinlu showed regret, "There is one more thing. The fleet that set off to meet the remnants of the evil dragon has returned. There is no ship carrying the false king on the Pentos route. Lord Varys may have been deceived."

"Unfortunately, the gods bless them, may they be buried in the bottom of the sea." Hannah shook her head and sighed.

She compared this data with the one from two weeks ago, and found that her own personalities have not changed much, but there are quite a few more rebels identified. It can be seen that if the investigation continues, the number may be more than that.

Littlefinger, Octopus, Renly, and Gold Robe, who would want to deal with these four forces at the same time?
Only a few months ago, she could only stand behind the queen and salute these big men, and none of them would look this way.

She listened to the queen talking with them, the calm words concealed the sharp edge, one or two sentences involved crazy huge interests, you came and I sacrificed all kinds of chess pieces, but they were safe and sound.

Now, at last, the blade was about to fall upon themselves.

"My lord, the decorations you ordered before are ready, when do you think they will be arranged?"

Hannah also gave Yinlu a note, "I don't seem to like it that much, I'll think about it again."

The words on the note are beautiful: "Act in the early morning after five days. Follow His Majesty's order to arrest the former Minister of Finance and Chief Intelligence Officer, and clean up the garrison for rebellion.

Covertly deal with Renly Baratheon who killed Lord Stannis.

The remaining vassals do not have to hunt down.

The whole city is sealed off, no entry or exit is allowed, and anyone who resists will be shot or killed.

Invite Duke Tywin into the palace to participate in political affairs. "

This is a somewhat feasible plan, but it is far from perfect, and the risk is not small.

The strength of the enemy has not yet been fully ascertained, how strong will the resistance be?
How will the courtiers react to the fact that Hannah and Lannister are not enough to call the shots on behalf of the king?
And it really succeeded, how to explain afterwards?

Hannah was very worried, why does His Highness trust her so much, why does she think she will succeed?

"My lord, a small gift is not a tribute." Hidden Deer presented another silver plate with a line written in jam on it: The Hound has arrived in King's Landing.

How useful can a warrior be?

Hannah is still deeply disturbed, but she can't think of any other options.

Anyway, five days to find out.

"Go."
