Chapter 36 Wolf Spirit
The throne of the Lord of Winter is not the end.

Moving on, after passing through long passages, ruins, dark rivers, and caves, they saw light.

The clear sky casts a clear white light, and the eyes are full of cold, tough, and devastated old trees, dotted with pieces of snow that will never melt.

The rough-faced veteran whispered, "This is Wolf Forest."

The oldest and most extensive forest in the North.

No wonder people can breathe easily in such a deep place in the mausoleum.

After walking for more than an hour, the sun had already set by the time they arrived at the gate of Winterfell from the ground.

Duke Ed rushed over immediately.

"Where did you go? Do you know how worried everyone is?"

The Duke turned to the side again, "Weiyang, go find the soldiers in the mausoleum, they have already been found, let them come up quickly."

The steward of Winterfell, Vayon Poole, took orders to leave immediately.

Arya shook her father's arm, with only excitement on her face, "The mausoleum is so deep and long, and there's a big, big throne!"

Bran couldn't help adding, "That must be the throne of the King of Winter."

Duke Ed still had a serious face, "Don't worry about the throne, your mother is going crazy, go back quickly."

"Besides," Ed glanced at Joffrey.

"The King of Winterland has long been a story. Winterland is now the Northern Territory, and there are no kings left."

Joffrey smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry for causing you trouble, Lord Eddard. Don't blame Bran and Arya, this is all my idea."

"Thinking about it now, I really shouldn't disturb the rest of the Stark ancestors."

Bran was still too naive, and immediately blushed and confessed to his father in a low voice, "Actually, I insisted on going. Father, don't misunderstand Your Highness."

"Honesty is a good character." Ed patted Bran on the shoulder, "I don't blame you. Just come back."

Both Bran and Arya breathed a sigh of relief.

On the way back to the main castle, the two children who successfully explored were still proudly showing off to their father the wonderful things they had seen in the tomb.

Joffrey could feel Eddard's gaze.

It seems that Lord Stark knows who is to blame.

Peeping into Stark's secrets without authorization, disturbing the undead, and leading two little wolves into dangerous situations.

Joffrey silently dubbed a voice for this: Ding, the system prompts, Ed Stark's favorability is -1, and the reputation of Winterfell is -1.

Fortunately, there is the identity of the crown prince as a shield.

As soon as he stepped into the hall, the king's laughter came over.

Dinner sure enough had a main course.

The wild yak stabbed to death by the king himself was turning round and round on the thick and long iron rod, and the translucent grease dripped onto the charcoal fire below from time to time, stirring up clusters of flames.

Yak has never been so loved by so many people.

Every time a layer is cooked, a special person will come to cut the meat just right, and then brush the yak on the grill with spicy, fragrant or sweet seasonings, so as to adapt to the different tastes of the nobles.

Joffrey ordered the spicy one.

The meat is quite firm, with an indescribable wilderness taste, not bad.

Bran leaned over.

After most of the day's adventure, Bran felt that he was already a good friend of the crown prince.

"Your Highness, I know a lot of places in the city that no one knows about. How about we go play together later?"

Joffrey especially didn't want to go to the Tower.

"I'm very interested. It's a pity that Junlin has been urging my father to return. He can't stay long. Let me leave time for the people in the north."

Joffrey changed the subject.

"Bran, your father will make a good Prime Minister."

"When we get to the south, you will definitely like the Red Keep. There are many secrets under the Dragon's Lair and the Red Keep."

"I just hope Lord Ed won't refuse."

Bran was hopeful. "How could Father disagree?"

Dragon's Lair, the legendary name immediately captured Bran's heart. How big is the place where the dragon lives? Does the dragon knight also live there?

Bran seemed to see himself wearing white clothes and white armor, driving a dragon, and defending the king.

Bran remembered all the Kingsguard stories:

Hundreds of years ago, "Mirror Shield" Savin, Ser Ryan Redwyne, Prince Aemon the Dragon Knight, and the twin brothers Sir Eric and Sir Alec who lived and died together in "A Dance with the Dragon".

Gerald Hightower the White Bull, Arthur Dayne the Sword of Dawn, and Barristan the Bold.

"Your Highness will become the king in the future, and you must let me be the Kingsguard."

Bran dreams of his own way of great knighthood.

Bran, you're the future Greenseer, the Three-Eyed Raven, Brandon Stark.

Joffrey smiled, "Sure."

Skinchangers are also called wolf spirits. These people have special talents. They can enter and manipulate the bodies of animals with spirits, and even occupy the bodies of animals to survive after death.

Legend has it that only one in a thousand people has the talent of a skinchanger hidden in their bodies, and only one in a thousand skinchangers can become a greenseer.

Why do most of the Stark family have the talent of shapechangers?

How does the skinchanger work? Why can't I see the magical light on Bran and others?

Why was Bran approached by the current Green Prophet?
All of these questions were answered the moment Joffrey sat on the throne of the King of Winter.

New runes reveal many historical truths.

His eyes traveled across the long river of time to the distant past, the past where the North was still called Winterland.

The throne was not yet in the dark underground then.It is bathed in snow and blood.

Countless figures came and went under the throne, dedicating struggling or desperate sacrifices to the supreme throne.

Long-faced men and women in heavy hides presided over the sacrifices.

Some of them held bronze sickles and swords, cut the throats of the sacrifices, and cut off the heads, so that the steaming bright red liquid seeped into the snow and flowed to the throne;
Some lifted heavy stones, smashing the flesh and blood of the sacrifices into pulp;
Some put the head of the sacrifice directly next to the throne and sprinkled the blood on the throne.

Souls traded for magic.

He saw that the magic light on the throne was more intense, and sprinkled a little bit of starlight into the figure below.

Not everyone has this honor. He noticed that most of the people the starlight drifted to had gray eyes, dark brown hair, and long faces.

Stark.

These men were already the leaders of the day.

The starlight is hidden in the human body.

He saw those people display extraordinary abilities, but still couldn't see the light of magic on them.

He steps down from his throne.

Looking at the throne again, those pictures dissipated with the wind, leaving only empty black stones.

He already knew the wolf's secret.

There are three runes on the throne, one is a spiritual rune, and the other two are unknown. But he can name them now.

One is the retrograde rune, which allows him to see the past through the medium.

One is the bloodline rune, which can integrate the power of other runes into the bloodline of the human body. Although it is faint and invisible, it is passed down from generation to generation.

Isn't the weakened version of the spirit rune the wolf spirit talent?

Greenseers can look into the past through the weirwood, and the retrograde runes have almost the same effect, if not stronger.

No wonder Bran is being targeted by the Greenseers.

Can the fate of Bran, the next Green Prophet appointed by Brynden River, the three-eyed crow, not be changed?

Maybe there could be a Kingsguard "Wolf" Brandon Stark.

Joffrey wanted to try.
